My fiance and I looked EVERYWHERE for some couches and dining room chairs for our new home.. we even scoured a few Consignment stores and kept coming up with nothing. I googled furniture store and found this place in East Plano. When we first arrived we were a little nervous because the area/parking lot is not the best HOWEVER once youre inside the shop it has a lot of charm. Opus has set out example pieces from many warehouses he orders directly from. We ended up flipping through several catalogs with him and ordering from the catalog. As you can imagine I was a bit nervous not having seen the couches or chairs in person, but Opus allowed us to come check them out in his store before delivery as he wanted us to be sure of our purchase. I was impatient as ever and anxious for the furniture so I called to check on their status and as soon as they were delivered and chairs assembled we went to see them. They looked great so we scheduled delivery (which was priced GREAT - he definitely beats the competition here). Our first delivery was missed, but the second scheduled delivery went off without a hitch and the couches were even BETTER than I dreamed! For reference, we bought two white bonded leather cream couches with a 10 year leather protection kit/warranty as well as 6 cream upholstered dining room chairs. PROS: Opus came in early and stayed late several times to accommodate our schedules. He was friendly and helpful and the prices were the best around town. Catalogs give you a LARGE variety of selection. Leather protection plan sounds unbeatable.

This one is a little over due...We had an overall good experience with Essi the owner of the place. He is a gentleman and a man of integrity...do not work with anyone else. He ordered a bed for us but the manufacturer called back a week later and said they no longer carried that specific one but had a higher model (at a higher cost). What made me upset was that Essi was adamant that I drive to his store (an hour drive) the day I spoke with him to order the piece because it was available and that his shipping was leaving that night or so and it had to be done asap. Essi was willing to work with us and we figured out a compromise and I waited for the delivery again. Alas the piece arrives, but its not what I had ordered. Here is where Essis team went to bat for me. They returned the piece and gave the manufacturer what they needed to hear. The manufacturer came clean and said they no longer have that model at all. So Essi worked with us to find a suitable alternative within our budget. He was very courteous and gave us some good advice. Its unfortunate we could not find the matching piece we wanted and how long it took to get a bed but satisfied with how Essi dealt with us in the end.

Its is extremely hard for me to leave a five star for anyone, but I have to give credit where it is due. Out of the blue I stopped by Opus looking for this one particular sofa. I had the pleasure of meeting Bob. Bob was able to work with me in locating the sofa I wanted and not only did he find what I was looking for, he gave me one hell of a deal and it was delivered the next day just as he said it was going to be. You really cant beat the price and the professional manner in which I was dealt with. I would recommend this store to anyone looking for some nice furniture and Kick Butt prices. My hats of to Bob. Thank you for helping me get up off the floor.

This company has created a clientele of unsatisfied customers. The owner of the store is very dishonest, never take his word. He is an unethical person who doesnt have any morals. My client had bought furniture from this location and the delivery date was keep being post pone week after week. It still hasnt been delivered and it has been nine months after his promise date. We are currently working on informing the better business bureau and filing a civil lawsuit. Dont shop here unless you want to be dissatisfied and ripped of. Low quality furniture GUARANTEED.

the owner of the store is very dishonest; father to a son, bunch of con artists. people if you are buying here do not take the word of any sales person in these store ,intentionally misleading ,unethical ,laying people. they do have a different format on the application process that only visible for the merchants and the company they work with not to the customer. that will surprise the customer down road. Actually what they do in these store is Down right FRAUD. there should be not star for these store at all

Opus Discount Furniture in East Plano is great, dont let the shopping center fool you. I walked in looking for a side chair and ended up getting a whole new living room set because the prices were so fair. The owner, Essi, was personable and not pushy. He gave me time to look through the store and was available for any questions. The store was clean, the furniture was nice, and the prices can not be beat. I will definitely go back and purchase from Opus Discount furniture.

This place was great!! I ended up getting everything I needed for my new apartment and the owner helped me stay within my budget. He didnt try to push me into something I didnt need or just try to take my money. Plus they delivered everything the same day. They have a huge selection of dining sets, sectionals, bed sets, etc. I used one of their financing options that had no credit check and 90 days same as cash. This place is definitely worth checking out. THANKS OPUS!!!

Fraudulent and Rude, I have ordered a sofa and love seat from this company. The delivery guy brought a completely different sofa and i have returned it back. On the next day i requested the money refund or deliver the sofa i have chosen. He told a 25% return fee for the money back or $100 additional for the next delivery. What a unethical business? It sucks!! The old guy is a very sharp sales person who care until he sucks your money. Please be aware!!!

I came in multiple times looking for a bed and sectional, asked probably more questions than the guy can count but never once did he get mad or frustrated. I walked away with a nice, quality storage bed and sectional which I was able to get at no money down and 90 days to pay off! I couldnt be happier with the experience. The store has a lot of stuff in it but the book and what they have access too is even more abundant. Great store to buy from!

Great Experience. They Salespeople dont hassle you or follow you around the store and ask you what you are interested in every 5 min. I was able to browse to my hearts content. The furniture arrived on time with no defects. I was so happy that they had a financing plan available. I was able to get what I really wanted and not hurt for the cash. This place is a must visit. They have some pretty cool stuff!

Ive never written a review but I feel its necessary as I had a wonderful experience. I have a new family and just bought a house so I needed everything from rugs to couches to appliances. Luckily Opus had it all! However, being a new family it all came down to price. Opus worked with me to get the best price possible. Very helpful and knowledgeable. Thanks all!
