My shopping experience at Scan Design was quite pleasant. My wife and I had bought several different products from this store, we love the look and design of furniture, everything was quite nice, until we ordered a TV stand which was more money than we could afford, but it was a Christmas, present for ourselves and rationalize we should go for it. It was ordered arrived a week later than expected but that happens. The real kicker is when the peice arrived and was assembeled, I went to pick it up the drawers and doors did not close correctly or flush, I did not want to take it home but was PROMMISED it would be taken care of, warped door would be replaced and if that did not work the unit would be replaced. Well a business is only as good as its word, the piece on the showroom floor did not have these a flaws a $1500.00 TV stand!!! Everytime I called I was told it is being taken care of, I think her wish was I would forget about if I wanted that quality and service I would have went to a bigbox expected more got less. That was a year ago, the phone call I was promised never came quite dissapointing, to say the least.

I am not the sort of buyer that this store shoots for. Their prices are far and away out of my price range for new items and even their discounted items are on the high side. With that said we found a good deal on a platform bed in their downstairs discount area several years ago that will be with us for years to come. It was delivered and setup at no extra cost as well. With all that said, from what I can tell most of what is sold here you can buy at Ikea for 1/3 of the price or less, is there a quality difference? IDK, but if there is look at it as an opportunity to chance your furniture three times more often! That is, if you like these Scandinavian designs. :)

Coolest furniture Ive found in the area. Got a lounge chair and a little collapsing dinning room set. Turned down the delivery offer and while getting the dinnette into my apartment I scratched it. I called the store and asked if there was anything they could do even though it was obviously my own fault. The guy came to my place and did some sort of magic scratch touch up and I cant even tell it was ever scratched. Thats what I call service after the sale. And the chair is the most stylish and comfortable piece of furniture I have.

We have purchased three pieces of furniture from Scan Design since we moved to Fargo almost 2 years ago. Every piece has been beautifully crafted and helped us create a modern warm look in our home. We purchased all the pieces straight off the floor, so havent had any experiences like the "No Service at This Time" comment. We have found the service to be friendly and efficient, and we stop by every 3 months or so to see whats new!
