I do NOT recommend this place and especially do NOT recommend Zach Phillips!! I went in with the simplest of designs, circles and a triangle, pretty easy I thought. His straight lines were not even close and even the outline of the circle was shakey and inconsistent. The points of the triangle are not clean in the slightest and one point is raised and scarred. Also, notice in the first picture how the continuation of the axe from one side of the circle to the opposite side do not line up. Bad work speaks for itself. He seems to be a nice enough guy and possibly a mediocre artist on canvas but a completely incompetent tattooist. Do your research and dont trust that just anyone can tattoo even the easiest of designs. Horrible, horrible, horrible!!!!!

Im late giving a review, but this place is by far the best shop Ive been to in charlotte. Thad did a cover up for me on my chest and I love it more and more each day lol. I went to two different shops before coming here because everyone else told me that I had to get something cheesy like a flower to cover it up because a lions head wouldnt work. But I went here (no appointment) and Thad did it with no problem you cant even see the "D". I have 9 tats so far but this one is by far my favorite, and its not just because im a leo lol. I feel like I can finally say that Ive officially found my tattoo artist. All the guys are great there. You guys have to come check this place out i know i plan on coming back again and again. you wont be disappointed.

Zack was my artist.-- what a laid-back, awesome person, and an amazing artist! I walked-in (no appointment) with a mess of ideas, and Zack put his creative spin on them, but made sure to get my input every step of the way. The studio was easy to get to and was clean, and all staff and artists were incredibly friendly. Ive been to several studios around the Charlotte area, and can say that this is one I will be frequenting.

Its a great place nice interior, and professional. The reason I am giving it three stars is for the fact that I was clearly a tattoo virgin, and it was very clear. So my artist up charged me, because he knew I had no idea how to price a tattoo. I knew he did this when I asked multiple people with multiple tattos now much I should have paid and they said an estimate that was way low for what the guy charged me.

Theres a ton of surrounding tattoo shops within the Plaza Midwood area, however, I continue to go to Green Light tattoo because of the welcoming atmosphere. All of the artists take their time to ensure that the work done is of amazing quality and that itll last. Ive continued business here for multiple years and highly recommend to anyone getting tattooed or pierced for the first time or the millionth time.

Zack Phillips was my artist. I have other tattoos by other artists and Zack is by far my favorite Ive ever worked with. So laid back and chill and awesome bed side manner. We started a half sleeve and its beautiful. I will definitely go back to him for ever other tattoo I get. I highly recommend Zack!
