I wish I could give this one star. The people there were incredibly rude. I guess the old man was the owner of the store. My friend went inside to purchase some items. I didnt feel like sitting in the car so I went across the street. I was gone for a minute and when I returned my friend had exited the store and was ready to go. He was being interrogated by the owner and another man about why he was parked there what was he doing. When they saw me coming they decided to start interrogating me too. It didnt matter to them that he had been shopping. In their eyes if you come together you must stay together at all times. They were touching my car, looking at the license plate, acting threatening all because I got a drink somewhere else while he was shopping inside. I honestly do not see the problem and anyone with logic wont either. Im glad my friend didnt find what he was looking for because it would have been a shame to send any money to this store. I stated that I would never go to this store again and the man said, "Thats your problem, lady." I work in customer service and found the way he handled the situation to be completely tacky, offensive and over the top. So make sure if you and a friend arrive at the store hold hands the entire time. If you dont wish to do that then sit inside the car while they look for food inside, make sure you have your hands on the wheel because you will be asked to leave. I have already heard horrible things about the price of the food and after the incident today I will never go back and suggest that anyone who has any dignity or wish of being treated as a human finds another store to shop.

Overall its a nice store albeit a tad expensive. The only thing I get from here are things from the bulk foods & bulk spices sections. I usually dont buy anything there that comes in a package. Ill occasionally buy a few items to put together a quick lunch like the ready made sandwiches and teas from the refrigerator. Its a godsend if youre a vegetarian student at UC.

Kinda pricy and I dont care for a lot of the pseudoscience snake oil they sell, but its the only place in walking distance to get vegetarian staples and spices. I will say the spices are an excellent value, they sell local products, and Ive only dealt with very polite staff.

I love this store. I am vegan and they usually carry things most stores dont in terms of vegan items. They will also special order products for you. I am obsessed with Go Foods line of vegan candy bars, which CNF ordered upon my request. Thanks!

I have been here multiple times and I absolutely love it. The selection is great and I always find whatever I am looking for. I would recommend this place! Not only is it great, but you can support local farming and local businesses :)
