We bought some $25.00 Truffle Oil at Hyde Park Gourmet. When we got home we discovered that it had NO truffle flavor at all. We took it back to the store a day later and the woman working there said they do not take returns. She did not know what truffle was supposed to smell like (working at a gourmet food store?) and couldnt verify that the oil had no flavor. She called the owner who said she would only be willing to give us store credit. Why would we want store credit at a place where the staff is not knowledgeable enough to help us select a decent product but you cant try anything or return it in the event that it is of poor quality? They refused to budge on this so we were forced to select one of their many other overpriced items and they acted like they were doing us a favor giving us the dollar difference between the original product and the new product. Needless to say, we will not be back. There are many better places to buy gourmet food products where the staff is actually knowledgeable and helpful and stand by the quality of their (much better priced) products. The owner of Hyde Park Gourmet does not care about the satisfaction of her customers. As such we will not be patronizing this business any longer!

A MUST SEE FOR FOODIES! This store is a food lovers oasis! If youre anything like me, you want your dollar to stretch as far as possible, and sometimes you just feel like a treat. And when that time comes, theres nothing worse than finding out that your hard-earned "splurge" budget has been wasted on bad ingredients. What I like about this store is that no-matter what my price point is on any given day, I can rest assured that each item has been carefully chosen to offer the best bang for my buck. I also like to tell my friends about it cause it lowers the possibility that theyll bring a bad bottle of wine to the next dinner party! It is stores like this that make Cincinnati special. Cheers!

Please know that I am reccommending Hyde Park Wine on Erie Avenue to ALL epicurians in the greater Cincinnati area without reservation! Evelyn and her staff went above and beyond to acquire a case of Pol Roger Champange (1998 Winston Churchill Cuvee") for me and for all the trouble gave me an outstanding price which was not anticipated or expected. If you are someone with discriminating taste in wine, cheese, or other delectable food stuff please, please, please visit and make it your one stop shop for all things delicious! Again, my thanks to everyone at Hyde Park Wine for making my shopping experience extremely pleasant. I will be back for years to come!

Hyde Park Gourmet creates and delivers wine gift baskets for us. We build outdoor living spaces for our clients, so we are at our clients homes for several weeks and get to know them and their families. When we complete a project, we like to send a gift they can enjoy with their new living space. Hyde Park Gourmet Gift Baskets have been a favorite with our clients. The baskets are always made with a nice variety of wines. Evelyn, Sylvia and the whole Hyde Park Gourmet team are knowledgeable and welcoming. Well be back very soon!

Best soups in the area, HANDS DOWN! Especially the Gazpacho! The only negative is that Gazpacho is not made year round - no matter how much I beg for it. And on top of the soups, the sandwiches are a favorite of my kids. If you are in Hyde Park, definitely stop in. Besides the great soups and sandwiches, the people who work there are knowledgeable about their wines and always welcoming!

I visit the area to see friends and family and have had nothing but great experiences here. I can stop in and get a bottle of wine and some gourmet snacks without having to plan ahead. Its nice to find selections that you cant just get at your local grocery store. I also used their gift basket service this Christmas and my friend was so pleased with it.
