I was not a regular shopper at Nitin Jewellers. I did check out the store a few times but never bought anything. I never thought I will make time to write a review on any business. Well, It may be worth my time because many Indian stores lack the customer service and soft skills even after living in this country for years together. Some body has to speak up. Hence this review on Nitin today. To get to my specific story, I bought some coins earlier and they were a month late than expected. No apology nor a apologetic tone. Instead he was explaining the process of how he would procure those. I would understand if his convo started with something like "sorry for the inconvenience, it is getting delayed and not much in my control etc.".. Another example is I Bought something else and asked for an exchange and staff made me to believe that let the store owner return from India and that can be done and helped me select another item. Everything was so professional until that point. Owner returned finally and says he can not accept the exchange because the purchase was over a week. I would have respected their policy if the staff were upfront with me. When the time came, They said they didnt notice the date on the bill.I was few days late over the week Not knowing the 7 day exchange policy, I had to wait for 6 weeks to get my coins while making repeat calls and couple of trips to the store. I was bummed the way the owner was trying to play smart. He says they are two separate things. On both ends I was impacted. Customer satisfaction is not a factor at all for their business seems like. He was always had a frown when I visited but the staff were great. I could not believe staff could not take my side and explain the situation to him that we were all waiting for his return. Thats why exchange didnt happen earlier. I only buy once or twice. Nitin jeweler needs customers everyday. I just want these businesses to step up and offer better customer service. Everyone says I am very cool. I lost it today for the first time.

I agree that customer service is of somewhat of a desi level, but once you get past that, they are a nice helpful family running a family business. They give you good quality gold for the best price anywhere in the Bay Area. I live in Fremont, yet I go all the way to Sunnyvale, to buy my gold Jewellery. Ive been a regular at Kumar Jewelers, Fremont location for the longest time, but Nitin jewellers beats their price anyday. They offer great variety at great prices. You can even call them and ask them for a quote for per gram price of gold on any given day, over the phone, and they will tell you. How many Jewelers do that? Try calling Bhindi Jewelers, they say you will have to come to the store for the rate of gold/gm... As if a customer has all day to just go from store to store. Ive bought a set of 6 diamond cut bangles and a huge choker and collar necklace in temple style from them, and both pieces have got me loads of compliments. As far as the quality of gold is concerned, Ive worn my bangles every single day for 3 years, neither has the rhodium plating tarnished and nor has the gold. Id give them 5 stars if the customer service was top notch, but trust me Nitin and Alpa ji, try their best.

bought so many Items from Nitin Jewelers and I am happy with there service. I love this store. Please go and check and dont look cheap review like $5 I paid more. It is possible some bargain for $5 for gold coin and owner refuse to take less and you can see negative review. I know Jewelers make 10 to 15 dollars by selling $1200 cost of Items and it is just 1% and people bargain or ask special service. Some times come competitor also write this type or review. I always buy Gold and Diamond from Nitin Jewelers. People living in USA and always compare in Rupees. They calculate tax also in cost and rupees @50, it is fact that it vary from 40 to 50. I am good so everybody good.

Ive custom-made jewellery from nitin jewellers & regret doing so. It is supposed to be a pure gold & good quality diamond jewellery, as they said and what I paid for.. But gold is very low quality & so are diamonds. within few days, it looks like its an imitation jewellery which has gone bad. In a month of getting new necklace.. when I visit India, relatives thought it is a fake necklace - & mom advised not to wear that necklace again, since it does not look good. I was ashamed to say it is brand new gold/diamond necklace we got it last month :( My sincere advise is do not buy any expensive jewellery from nitin jewellers..worst Ive ever seen for jewellery hope it helps

I bought two Canadian maple coins from here. Paid the deposit on day 1 since they did not have the coins, and went to collect the coins on day 2. The price of gold had gone up the 2nd day, and they were very hesitant to give the coins. In fact, the store proprietor took cash, and was hesitant to even return the $5 change that he owed me. On top of that he got mad when I asked him to weigh the coins. The crazy guy even got mad when I mentioned that the customer service is poor. Moreover his wife was asking him to charge extra based on todays price. Dont shop here!

Its funny all the people who tend to comment on here ONLY place false and negative reviews. And only 4 comments out of 5 are negative and these are the VERY FEW customers whove had a bad experience..the customers (count less of them) who have had an outstanding and excellent experience dont waste their time writing bad reviews, they simply go back for more of Nitin Jewlers. In conclusion, its an excelllent place, very homely and freindly environment to be in. Outstanding service and outstanding quality of jewlery. I highly recommend!

Very poor experience. I deposited my gold ring with them to get a quote for fixing it. I had to call them multiple times to know whats happening. After 3 weeks, they called me to say it was fixed. I was just expecting a quote, so was surprised to hear this. When I went to the store to pick it up, they charged me an exorbitant price. I could have gotten a new gold ring for that price. I felt cheated; would never go back again.

we have been going to nitin jewellers for the past seven years. We always had the wonderful experience with the store. They have greatest variety of items at a very good price. Recently we ordered an item with nitin jewellers. However we did not want to take the item after it is been made. We could return the item and got full credit of the amount spent including making charges and tax. I recommend this store

The reason people give this place bad reviews is because they completely lack any kind of social skills. If you call that rude, then they are rude. They are neither helpful, nor welcoming. Competent, I have no idea. After the "greeting" I got by the door, i would never do business with them or recommend anyone I know to do so.
