Unfortunately not worth even one star. Do not order online with this company!!!! They have a dysfunctional internet ordering system, a poor communication process and an inept delivery process. I placed an order on December 1. I received a confirmation email stating I would receive order and tracking information soon. No emails ever came after and my shoes were never delivered. I called customer support only to find out that my shoes were delivered to an address that doesnt exist ( I know because I tried to google it). The company is now making me wait until they track down my package. As a marketing director for a retail and e-commerce establishment, I do not understand this. One, a company should provide much better communication. It should know whether the delivery address is valid or accurate. But more important, if you are going to promote yourself as having a customer experience on steroids then dont make your customer wait for their merchandise while you take care of your error. Do yourself a favor, do your online shopping else where!!!

Horrible customer service. This organization needs to hire more sales reps, or train the staff they have to do a better job of multi-tasking. I visited this store on Saturday, 9/14/2013, and could not find anyone to help me. There were multiple sales reps helping one customer, while other customers were unable to get help. I could not get anyone to acknowledge my presence. I finally left and visited another store in Manhattan Beach where I received excellent service. I do hope the single customer who attracted all of their sales resources purchased enough of their inventory to make it worthwhile, because I am sure there was a loss of other sales, including my own.

Weekends are a madhouse here, and I would not recommend going if you can help it on a weekend. Weekdays are awesome, and you can get some very knowledgeable staff that know everything there is to know about running or walking. I have gotten so much useful stuff from them and they have been super helpful. My only disappointment is that sometimes they push you to get the more expensive shoe and often you can get the same shoe from their on-line store for less. Also, they dont seem to be linked up with their on-line database so its sometimes hard for them to find your "VIP" status. Wish their database was a bit more updated.

i consistently get excellent customer service from these guys. i came in on a saturday (3/1/14) and the place was packed. the saleswoman was managing at least four other customers and still managed to provide me with a large variety of shoes to try on as well as follow up with her opinions of what might work for me given the wear and tear on my previous pair of shoes. also, the vip benefits are great, i have a very odd shape foot and it takes a lot of tries before i can find a shoe that really works. thank you Road Runner for all your help over the last couple of years, i have and will highly always recommend you!

I needed new running shoes and was looking for someone knowledgeable to help me make the proper selection. Bob analyzed my foot, running stride and selected four running shoes that would meet my needs. This process took about an hour. I was impressed with the thoroughness of the shoe selection process, Bobs knowledge and Bobs helpfulness. i purchased two pair of shoes and expect to return whenever I need a running accessories. Road Runner and Bob exceeded my expectations.

Customer service was nonexistent. Signed in with greeter to perform the walking / foot form tests and sat down for 45 minutes. After 45 minutes of sitting next to the test area with not one person saying a word to me, I had to get up and leave. No, they were not very busy on 4/21/2012. I was recommended to come here which is unfortunate. Bought shoes immediately elsewhere since the reason I went to a retail store is to buy running shoes on the spot.

Excellent elite running store. Friendly staff and wide selection of brands and styles. Prices are not discounted unless you join their yearly membership, but if you run regularly it pays for itself. They push some prohibitively expensive insoles but you can try them out and return them if they dont work for you.

Horrible customer service!! Staff lacks in knowledge & doesnt acknowledge customer. No one ever offered to help any customers. Also you have to search for a sales rep. Ive been to other road runners & is by far the worse store they have.

Nice quality stuff but be prepared to spend some dough so wait for the sales. Some things you can get cheaper online too. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable which makes this place worth it and a regular stop!
