I went to every big name, non-mall type jewelry store in Nashville. For the most part, I walked out of every one of them either more confused or angry about my experience. I was often told something either couldnt be done or that it would take months to make. I was also hit with crazy warranty stipulations, hidden fees, and bloated prices due to the ring being a "designer" piece. The worst part was being repeatedly hit with one line sales quips -- my favorite coming from a guy who attempted to make me feel ignorant by telling me that I obviously dont know how long it takes for a custom suit to be made, while standing there in an un-tailored suit he wore right off the rack from Sears. But the one thing that made me mad as hell was once they figured out my max budget, I want shown anything less (and often times, more). * That was reminiscent of every place I went with the exception of Platinum Jewelers. When you walk in, youre not going to find people standing there in suits, breathing down your neck. I said I was only looking and asked them where the engagement ring settings were. They pointed me over to the rings and let me browse at my leisure. For a guy, you dont know how much that was appreciated. * Once I started looking through different settings, I ran into the same problem I had everywhere else. I couldnt find one that was just perfect. After voicing that to Chris he, instead of belittling me for wanting to change a "designer" ring, got excited and said lets just make one. I must have pieced together 5 different rings to get the exact look I was going for. Two days later I had a computer image mock-up in my e-mail. * After a few tweaks, he had it made and my diamond set with no issues. And guess what? It didnt take him months and he never once told me something couldnt be done. He just did it. But not only that, he did it for about half the price of the other guys and with no hidden fees or warranty stipulations. * The ring is stunning. The heap of compliments my now fiance is receiving has her brimming and I couldnt be happier with the experience. * If you dont at least stop in and see Chris, youre doing yourself a massive disservice.

Best. Best. Best!!!! I bought a ring from a Nashville jewelry store named village jewelers. The first diamond was too small for the ring but they sold it to me anyway. Then I upgraded to a bigger diamond at Village and they sold me a diamond with a spot in it that had been graded by an unreliable company for the price of a high quality diamond. I called platinum jewelers and met Chris. He was incredibly understanding and gave me an education on what had happened to me and showed me what diamonds are really worth. He recommended just the right size and grade to give me the biggest bang for the buck. The diamond that I had bought from Village Jewelers was actually too big for the ring and they had crammed it in there anyway. Chris had his jeweler custom make the exact same ring but in a larger size to fit the diamond that I bought from him. Now he is custom making the wedding band as well! The wedding band that I bought from the other jewelry store was a different carat weight of gold than the engagement ring and did not really match the ring. I paid an exorbitant price for it as well. It has taken me 2 1/2 years to recover from purchasing the original wedding band and engagement ring from the other store. With the help of Chris I am now completely satisfied and my wife was literally astounded when I surprised her with the custom engagement ring. It was exactly like the original but larger to fit the diamond that he sold me for the RIGHT price. His jeweler did an amazing job. The engraving was perfect. I got a much larger diamond and better quality for the same price that I paid for the terrible diamond from village jewelers. As a note, I was driving by village jewelers the other day and saw that they are out of business! Maybe he retired? Or, maybe not .... Thank you Chris! I tell everyone I know that is looking for a ring to come to Platinum Jewelers. Chance :)

This place has extremely disappointing customer service. My husband and I stopped in over a month ago to have a custom ring made and we still havent received any CAD work or 3-D renderings, even after putting 25% of the money down (which we werent asked for until almost a month later) and being told it would only take a few days multiple times. The owner, Billy, was supposed to call my husband back and never did...instead he had someone else call us days later. They apparently dont have a designer on site to communicate directly with either. It seems almost every step of the process is outsourced and complicated. We feel as though they have lied and deceived us the whole way through, and plan to take our business elsewhere.

I love Platinum Jewelers! They have repaired broken jewelry, resized a ring, bought my old gold for a fair price, and most recently took three diamonds I had and set them into my absolute dream engagement ring. Their options are endless, and they have literally met every jewelry request Ive had in the past year. Your only trouble will be choosing from their huge assortment; its brilliant and shiny! I was referred to them by a friend whose husband purchased her engagement and wedding rings there, and I couldnt be happier. They are the only jewelry store in Nashville/Franklin that I need.

Yesterday I took a ring in to be appraised. I was immediately greeted by Nolan who was friendly and quickly impressed me with his knowledge of jewelry. He told me more than I ever knew about a bracelet that I owned and happened to be wearing that day. Chris, the owner, completed the appraisal while I waited. Both gentlemen were very professional and seemed to really enjoy what they do. Well done and low cost. I would definitely recommend them...and they have a nice selection of beautiful pieces available as well.

Great Place! Chris is fabulous! Dont let the curbside view fool you! I sold a gold bracelet to him for at least $35 more then I had previously been offered. Chris also fixed an antique gold tennis bracelet for me in-house (everyone else wanted to send it away and charge a fortune) in just 2 days! I have been so pleased with the service there, I am eager to continue to do more business! Diamonds are a girls best friend and Chris knows how to hook a girl up!

This review is for selling my silver junk coins and gold coins. I did research on line before venturing out for a fair market selling price. I stopped by a couple of very well known estate jewelers in Franklin to get there prices. Chris with Platinum was much closer to fair market value than others. He also locked in a price and honored the deal. The staff is professional and courteous; I would recommend them to friends and family.

I first met Heather when she designed my wedding band 4 years ago. It is a perfect match to my ring and I LOVE it! Since then she has designed several pieces for my friends and family members that have all been gorgeous. Also, her prices are fair and unbeatable for the quality of jewelry you get. Would give Platinum Jewelers 10 stars if I could!
