I have to give Vickery Motorsports, and sales professional Chuck Jensen, the very highest recommendation. Im not a "motor head." Ive only been riding an ATV for a few years, and have moderate riding skills. I started out on a used 1998 Polaris, to see if I enjoyed riding enough to make buying a new one worthwhile. Ive also tried out some other machines that my brother-in-law has, so Ive been able to know certain things that I like, and things that I dont like, about how different machines feel and handle. But I really love riding, and weve had tons of fun the past couple of years going out on the trails. So when my older machine started having some mechanical issues, it was time to upgrade to a new one. Right from when we first walked into the store, Chuck treated me with respect. He never "talked down" or "man-splained" to me, nor did he ignore me to talk to my husband over my head as if I were a child. He actually listened to what I said when I explained things I did and didnt like about the different ATVs I had ridden on. He was super knowledgeable about the different sizes and models, and so could tell me how they would handle and feel compared to what I had expressed that I was looking for. I tested the Polaris 450, and really liked it. My husband wanted me to try out several different brands of ATVs before we made the investment in a new one, so we went up to Sun Enterprises since they are a large dealer and would have a variety of brands on hand. They were friendly, but the salesman immediately directed his conversation to my husband, like my opinions didnt matter. After I tested a couple of other machines, I was pretty sure I wanted the Polaris 450 model that I had tried out at Vickery Motorsports. We asked for a best price quote, and then wanted to go get some lunch and talk about it before making a final decision. The salesman started playing the typical car dealership games with us, and wouldnt confirm their best price unless we signed a purchase order for him to take to his manager and get approval on that price. We left, went and had lunch, and discussed the pros and cons of the different machines. I decided that the Polaris 450 was definitely the machine that I wanted, but I didnt like the way I had been treated at Sun. So I called Chuck with Vickery, he had the price confirmed for me in just a couple of minutes with no games, and as we were driving back down to his shop, he got the machine ready to load up and paperwork ready. I really appreciate the entire shopping experience that I had with Vickery Motorsports, and with Chuck Jensen - straightforward, professional, and respectful.

I called Vickerys service counter asking if they could replace my tires and my front wheel bearings on the following day. After checking, Jake said no problem so I brought in my Kawasaki Vulcan that evening. The next day I called to check status and I was told that at 3pm they were just starting on it because of an appointment that was ahead of me. I thought thats why I called to see if it would be done, I guess they lied. The next day I called as I never received a call telling me that it was ready and I was told that all they have to do is install the wheel bearings. I asked why it took 24 hours to replace the tires, I was told that they didnt have a problem with the tires that there was a communication problem with the technician. When the bike was finally ready they didnt call the primary number I gave them they called my work number and left a message instead of trying my cell number. I had to wait another day to pick up the motorcycle. After I picked up the motorcycle I noticed that the rear brakes were hardly working and the pedal was going much further than it used to then when I was really applying the rear brakes hard I heard a loud snap and the rear wheel locked up. The brakes started working better after that but every time I applied the rear brakes they would make a clunking sound. I brought the bike back to Vickery. A technician heard the sound right away and after looking at the bike for a short time declared that the noise was normal and proceeded to try and find another Vulcan to convince me that the noise Ive never heard before was normal. I went back to the service writer Scott and told him that Im not buying it and Ive been riding that motorcycle for a year and it never made that sound. Scott said that I will have to leave the motorcycle because the technician that originally worked on my bike wasnt there. I started to call for a ride when Jake came in and asked what was happening. I told him and he went to look into it. After just a few minutes he return with another technician to tell me that they figured it out and they showed me how the first technician didnt put the rear wheel back on my motorcycle correctly. I will never bring my motorcycle back to Vickery. They let me drive out of their lot with unsafe brakes. I expect that whenever any mechanic disassembles a motorcycle that he checks to make sure that everything, especially the brakes, are working correctly before giving the bike back to the customer. Let this be a warning to you if you are considering taking your motorcycle there for new tires!

Thought I’d let everyone know what a pleasure it is to deal with Vickery Motorsports. Upon the recommendation of friends, who have dealt with Vickery for decades, I snow checked a 2016 Ski-Doo Summit X T3-163 last spring. I’d never been in the shop before but Bill Vickery sat down with me and went through the options available then ordered my new sled. As promised, I got a call in early September that my sled was assembled and set up and that I could pick it up at my convenience. There was no snow yet but I couldn’t wait so I let them know I would be there on the 22nd to get it. When I arrived, Josh Neubauer wrote the deal while Bill evaluated the Polaris I wanted to trade. By the way, I was thrilled with the value I received on my trade. Since I live in Fort Collins, I wanted to buy all my accessories and supplies while I was there. It was a little early in the year for the parts department to have all the snowmobile merchandise on the showroom floor so it took some extra effort on the part of those guys to get everything I wanted out of the warehouse...which was much appreciated. The first time I took the sled out, I had problems with it not starting when it was hot and at high altitude. You can read about this in the forums. I called Jake in Service and he was well aware of the problem and knowledgeable about how to fix it. I let him know that I would be coming from Fort Collins and that I would want to bring the sled in early so I could get it fixed and picked up on the same trip. Jake accommodated my schedule and took the time to research my VIN to see if there was anything else that should be done to the sled while I was there. When I arrived a half hour early for my appointment, they unloaded my sled and took it immediately into the shop. From the desk, I overheard Jake tell the mechanic that I had driven down from Fort Collins and asked him to get started on my sled. Jake also informed me about a recall on the handlebar riser clamp that had come in since we had last talked so they took care of that also. I was out the door and on the road in just over an hour. The reason I shared this much detail is that I am not a long term Vickery customer...but I sure was treated like one every time I walked through their door. I’m one who puts as high a value on customer service as I do on price. You can bet that I’ll buy from Vickery Motorsports again. Bruce
