The store is a mess. Every aisle had merchandise thrown onto the floor. I had to find an employee to help me find a product. They had no clue where it was and searched aimlessly for a few minutes before asking another employee who also didnt know where it was. The fish department is a disaster. Very few fish are in the correct tank, some have obvious signs of ick and fin rot, and the employee was incredibly unhelpful and didnt want to catch fish from the top shelves. The checkout line had 5 people waiting while the cashier chatted with one of the food representatives about how bad she needed coffee. This is hands down the worst petco I have ever stepped foot in. We will never go back.

Im sure the groomers are doing the best they know how with the skill set that has been taught to them. However, I am not totally please with the work. My dog seemed very agitated when I got him back but I attribute that to being a puppy. However, I know I said several times, DO NOT SHAVE MY DOGS FACE BUT CLEAN HIS TEAR STAINS. They did the opposite of what I told them. They shaved his face. I am very very very upset. They said his coat was matted. When I got home, his fur was all over me but I managed to spray a little detangler in his coat and comb right through. No problem. Ive decided to groom him myself.

I have took my dog to Petco Grooming Salon in Clinton a couple of times to get groomed. They do a horrible job. My dog doesnt smell fresh after she is done and is always spooked once she gets home. . They never pull the hair out of your dogs ears as other groomers usually do. Please save your money and take your dog to a place where the staff cares and the groomers actually do good work.

I called in advance to go self wash my dogs. When I get there they tell me that area closes at 8pm. But I called and spoke to store associate over the phone at 8:10pm and said its was still opened and I could come. This is the 2nd time I drive to this terrible location. Please avoid this location if you love your pets.

Mike, the manager of the Clinton Petco, is a welcome change from other "chain" managers. He takes pride in his work and the store. He truly cares for animals and goes out of his way to help animal rescues in the area.

Clean store and simple store. Not as large as its competitor and the non sale prices items are surely higher. If you are wanting to go in somewhere quickly and dont mind the price, then this is the spot
