About a year and a half ago, my mother in law purchased a rocking recliner for my wife to nurse our newborn in. When the chair was delivered, we noticed that it sat lopsided. Looked into it, and found that the leg base was bent. Contacted Gardiners in Bel Air, who then directed me to their Service/Parts Dept, which I had to call and explain the issue. Lucky for us, my mother in law still had the original receipt. Rather than a new set of legs being sent, they stated the whole chair had to replaced. Ok, whatever. New chair arrived and was delivered in July 2016. Not quite as comfortable as the previous one, but ok... it is what it is. So, here we are in March 2017, and the recliner handle broke off. To my dismay, it appears as though as it had been glued before (see photo). Went into Gardiners, and was immediately approached by a Salesman who immediately gave me the Service/Parts Department number. Called the Service Department, and after several holds, was first told that the chair only had a 1 year Warranty. After explaining it had already been replaced, and was less than a year old, the person told me that the handle was a "Premium Part", and was only warrantied for 90 Days and I would then have to contact their local technician who may be able to get me a price for the repair. Are you kidding me?! I looked up the part online and found it on ebay for $10.99. Congratulations, Gardiners; youve earned yourselves the loss of a customer, and a negative review for all the world to see for an $11 part and some Customer Service.

We purchased a home in 2010, and were looking to purchase furniture for our living room and bedrooms. Andrea greeted us and we told her what we were looking for. She was very cold, condescending and rude. Was truly a bad experience. We took our business elsewhere. A few years later my wife won a gift certificate to Gardiners and we debated if should should even go back because of the awful experience we had previously. We went in and again were greeted by Andrea. We told her we had a gift certificate that we wanted to use and she told us she had never even heard of Gardiners giving out gift certificates and acted like she didnt believe us and asked to see the gift certificate. We found a TV stand in the bang and dent area at the back of the store that we considered purchasing. We made an offer to Andrea and she turned her nose up at us and said she wouldnt even consider our offer, and couldnt believe we wouldnt pay their asking price. We left the store and have never been back. We returned our gift certificate unused. We contacted the main office in writing and they wrote us to tell us that they had never had a complaint about Andrea. We would not recommend this business , especially that particular salewoman.

My experience with Laura,Dan, and James was absolutely amazing. Laura sold me my furniture that I love. My dog got sick on my couch wich is bodily fluid and should be covered under our warranty. The warranty company didnt replace the cushion. I spoke to Dan and he got a replacement and James come to my home and replaced it. I have to say that Dan needs to be recognized as well as his employees. They are all wonderful and caring individuals. I will send everyone I know to your churchville store. Thanks again for all that you and your employees have done.

Extremely disappointed with their service. Had to keep calling to find out about status of my furniture. 4 weeks late and still no call. Had to call to find out that the furniture was in but no one notified us or attempted to schedule a delivery. They tell you that you can have your furniture within a few days when you walk in the door but in reality, everything is ordered and you have to wait an unrealistic amount of time for a few pieces. Other furniture stores have delivered within days of visiting their store. Will never use this place again.

Over the years weve bought furniture from small decorative items to complete living and dining room sets. Recently, we purchased two special order chairs. The chairs are poor quality and nothing like the comfort of what we tried or were promised. The store refused to take the chairs back without a ridiculous restocking fee and to make matters worse (better for them) I have to hand deliver the items to the store. Last money they will ever get from my family and friends will be that restocking fee!

Andrea was a great help! She sent me a sample directly to my house in a matter of a few days, had a quote written up immediately and even offered to have me come in before a sale to help save me time! Great customer service. ;)

What a great furniture store. Its huge and has lots to see. They seem to have good sales. They can be a bit pricey so a sale is always a good thing. But definitely worth the look.
