Auf dem Weg zum oder vom Hollywood-Sign kannst Du hier kurz Rast machen, ein Weißbrot oder einen Apfel kaufen und Dich vor dem Laden auf eine romantische Steinbank setzen. Aus dem Cafe nebenan holst Du Dir einen Kaffee und genießt die ganz besondere Atmosphäre: entspannt, leger, freundlich. Gegenüber steht das alte Steintor, das den Beginn des Gebietes markiert, das als HOLLYWOODLAND mit dem Hollywood-Sign beworben wurde. Im Beachwood Drive hatte auch Peg Entwistle bei ihrem Onkel gewohnt, bevor sie 1932 vom großen "H" des berühmten Schriftzuges sprang.

My friend & I were looking for the best spot to take a picture with Hollywood sign in the background, so we drove up to this peaceful neighbourhood. This market has the usual groceries and stuffs needed for the residence, but what struck me the most was the counter guy, a man in his late 40s/early 50s, was really really helpful. I asked him lots of questions and directions, and he was nice, friendly and obliging, even came out of the store to assist me. I guess people here are like that.

Very cute little grocery store! This is one of the shops in the beautiful little Beachwood Canyon neighborhood. I used to walk through this area a lot when hiking to the Hollywood Sign, although I believe that they now have closed the access point from this neighborhood... This little grocery store is a great place to stop for some snacks either going up or coming back! They have a lot of healthy options and reasonable prices.

Cute little market right at the end of Beachwood Drive. They have all the things you would expect from a neighborhood market with the added bonus of a great deli tucked off to the side. Seriously, this place saved us because of the wonky hours of the cafe next door. Great sandwiches, good prices. Nice selection of beer and wine and a really nice staff to boot. Its in a nice area too, so take a little walk before you leave.

Family friendly, family run for over 30 years. Actual butcher to pack your meat fresh and advise on best cut for what you plan to do--at no extra charge. Deli makes great sandwiches. They dont have everything, but they have what I need 92% of the time.

This place is ok, I wouldnt do my shopping here, but I guess its convenient for the people that live around there because it is the only market. Plus its the perfect spot to stop by and get some ice cream and water before hiking to the Hollywood sign.
