DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE!!! My boyfriend, his dad and I have been looking for a decent lot to buy a used car from that would be reliable, everything we have heard about this lot was all good, so we thought we could get a good deal and a decent car. boy were we wrong. We spoke to a man named Vito, not only was he unprofessional, he didnt seem to know much about any of the cars we asked about, he was rude and we felt very rushed. Not to mention the price on our car was $4,036, and until his boss told him to drop it to 4,000 he wasnt even willing to drop the price 36 bucks to make it an even 4 grand. When I was reading through the papers he wanted me to sign after about a sentence or two he would ask me "did you understand what I said when I explained what that meant?" which made me feel not only rushed but very stupid. That is not how you treat anyone, let alone someone who is about to hand you 4,00 dollars. Today is 02/19/16 (Friday), I bought my 2008 Volkswagen Jetta from Budget Car Mart on 02/13/16 (Saturday) 6 DAYS AGO! The very next day we wake up to run errands since we hadnt been able to get our previous car to start for a week, and the car we bought wouldnt start. Once we had a friend come give us a jump we went to Home Depot and bought a 50 dollar jump pack so we wouldnt be stranded in a dead car with our two year old. We also went to get our battery tested, and it tested as a dead battery, even though the sicker indicated that this battery was replaced less than 6 months ago. The alternator makes a whining noise and according to any mechanic we have talked to that is probably what caused the battery to go bad. Then two days later the light indicating that the gas cap is loose comes on, I go to tighten the gas cap, its as tight as it will go and the light wouldnt go off, so I take it off and put it back on and finally that light goes off. Two days after that, Im driving to the cemetery to visit my mothers grave and the check engine light pops on. so immediately after leave there I go to oriley auto parts to have them scan to see what code is making the check engine light come on and they pull up the code P0455 - Evaporative Emission Control System Leak Detected Gross Leak. Today after work, we take it to E-Check to see if they pull up the same code, and of course they do. it could be a pretty pricey fix, not to mention that I have about a month to get this thing to pass E-Check. Its almost as if they used a scanner tool to wipe the code for long enough for someone like me to buy it and get it home. I will NEVER car shop here again, and I will tell everyone I know to STAY AWAY! WORST EXPERIANCE BUYING A CAR IVE EVER HAD!!!!!!!!!!

After reading many reviews saying the place was reputable and reliable I thought we would be in for a decent experience. How very wrong we were. Having a 2 year old we were looking for a newer vehicle, one that would be somewhat reliable, spoke with a gentleman named "Vito" whom honestly was no help at all, didnt tell us anything about the car, and while being extremely rude didnt seem to know a single thing other than how to print out a purchase agreement, 4000$ later (dealership cut 36$ off the final purchase to make it 4k even... nice guys -.-) were in an 08 vw jetta. looking at the Carfax we saw the vehicle was in 2 minor accidents and had some obvious body damage, no big deal, I also notice the alternator rattle a bit also not too worried about it at the time, interior was immaculate and the Carfax showed regular oil changes, checkups, brake and tire rotations, ect. The very next day, car wont start (less than 24 hrs) think oh it was a pretty cold night, battery probably couldnt hold it. Got the battery tested and it tested as a DEAD battery despite the sticker showing the battery was less than 6 months old, likely the bad alternator has killed the battery. Fast forward 2 days puts us on Tuesday 3 days after purchase, car cranks fine but wont start, finally starts and gas cap light comes on.. tighten gas cap and it eventually went away. Thursday the fun starts, car cranks no start, starts and sputters a little, evens out, and the check engine light comes on, code p0455 evap GROSS leak... comforting. So now were less than one week later the car wont pass ohio echeck and were already looking at 250$ minimum for an alternator and battery but thats irrelevant because we dont even know where to start with the evap leak, could be cheap and easy, could also be expensive and a major safety risk. I advise anyone looking to buy a car here to use extreme caution and take the car to a mechanic before you buy it or they WILL swindle your money away no prob.

I just want to take a moment, to send a big shout out to Mr. Vito Rudy and sales manager Jeff Morris for going way beyond their duties of satisfaction to please used car buyers like us, Like most that shop in their lot ,we were on a some what strict budget to buying a dependable and reliable car for our 16 yr. old son, under certain circumstances our first car we pick out and drove home was not the one and no questions asked, was able to swap out, thank you Vito, for your winning smile, honesty and #1 customer service from the first start we met , it was a pleasure and thank you Mr. Morris for working up the deal, to make things right and everyone is happy at the end. Im sure the rest of the staff there is all on the same page of having the #1 Customer Service that Budget Car Mart has to offer to buyers and should be entitle to...... God Bless You all , Keep up the gifted skills of Salesmanship Yours Truly, The Dennis

I bought my first car from this lot at 19 and have to say it opened my eyes to how used car lots operate. To be fair I didnt know much about cars at the time, what to look at and was very naive which I feel they exploited. I bought a 1997 Chrysler Sebring with relatively low mileage for its age but the next day found out the rear brakes and rotors were garbage and needed replaced and the underside was rusted out. It amazes me that the car was even able to pass inspection in the first place for them to sell, it goes to show that while the salesman are friendly they put no work into the junkers they sell, no matter how minor it may be and let them sit for months on end until some young uninformed person comes along and buys it. It was a hard lesson but be aware they sell nothing but junk and if you consider getting a vehicle from here HAVE AN EXPERT CHECK IT OUT, or at the very least make sure you go over every nook and cranny before you potentially get burned.
