I started going to Optique because they are very conveniently located. I continue going to Optique because they do a very good job. I have a condition in my right eye that was misdiagnosed by my previous optometrist, causing me to waste a few hundred dollars on useless treatment with no improvement. Fortunately this had no impact on eye health or long term prognosis. Dr. Z quickly dismissed the original diagnosis and identified what was actually going on, then educated me on the progression and future treatment. Service has always been good, accurate, and friendly. It is possible to spend quite a lot of money here. And I am quite happy to have done so and thus acquired the lightest weight best fitting glasses I have ever owned. They also have many less expensive options that are probably almost as lightweight and Im sure can fit quite well. It was worth it to me to go with the high end but I was offered many choices. I managed to catch the end of a bike handlebar right between my eyes one day. The glasses survived with no damage other than not fitting quite so well as they used to. I dropped by Optique one day and they quickly improved the fit. Over time I decided the fit still wasnt quite what it used so I asked them to try again. This time its perfect again, if not indeed even better than when I first got the glasses.

I am not very happy with this place. My initial interaction was ok. I didnt really have any problems. I brought in a pair of frames, and my prescription and all I needed was to have lenses put in them. Two weeks later when I went in to pick them up, I told the employee that there was something wrong with the prescription and that it wasnt right. She told me that I should take them home to get used to them, and that the shape of the frames is what is changing how my eyes are seeing out of them. I trusted because she was a "professional" so I tried it. I kept getting headaches. So I returned to the frames I could see out of. I finally went to the different location, and they told me she had imputed my prescription 7X more then it needed to be in my left eye. I paid a lot of money, for a problem this big to happen. They were fixing it for me, but I had to wait another 2 weeks. Today I got a call from the original location I went to, saying that my lenses were ready; I clarified which location they were at, and I proceeded to go pick them up, and it was literally only my lenses. My frames were still at the other location. If I didnt have a back up pair, I would be very angry. So, now I wait.

I really like Optique Eyewear. Despite being located in a rather expensive part of downtown, they are always super nice and have reasonable prices. When I visit my eye doctor, I never feel like I am being pressured to buy anything I dont need. The doctor is very comprehensive in making sure that all questions get answered when it comes to my vision health. I love their offices, super sleek and stylish with light snacks to eat. I honestly feel like a rock star every time I go here. They have both sunglasses and eyesight glasses ranging in prices from very expensive to affordable. All their frames are current with the latest fashion trends, so don’t worry about getting stuck with frames from 20 years ago. All the equipment is up to date, and their medical forms are online, which is super convenient. They use a email and text message based system to confirm appointments, but if you prefer, they will also call. All around this place rocks!

I had an outstanding experience here on Friday. Despite paying monthly for vision insurance, I had neglected going to the optometrist and getting new glasses for 3 years (foolish, I know). Upon my arrival, I was somewhat surprised to learn that my mid-2000s era glasses had grown to be hopelessly out of style. My exam went effortlessly, with Dr. Z working quickly and efficiently to get my new prescription. After the exam, Tiffany helped me break out of my outdated comfort zone, picking out more up-to-date glasses that suited me. She was very patient, honest, and helpful as I grew accustomed to seeing myself wearing the newer styles. Nyssa completed the transaction, explaining all of the options that were available for the glasses that I had picked. All and all, it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend Optique to anyone.

As someone who has needed glasses for 15 years, I have had my fair share of experiences with optometrist and eyewear stores. And I can confidently say my experience at Optique was unparalleled. From the facility to the actually lens fitting, everything was flawless and top notch. But outside of using state-of-the-art equipment and having a killer selection of unique glasses, there level of service is unmatched. They have forever changed my perception of going big store versus local boutique. I recently moved to NYC but I proudly recommend them to anyone who values getting great glasses and customer service.

I just moved to Austin a few months ago so I took the advice of a friend to see Optique for my yearly eye exam. I had been going to the same doctor for 10+ years so I was a bit reluctant. Um, Optique is AMAZING, incredibly nice staff, they are funny and make you feel comfortable. I arrived ridiculously early (the nerves) and they even offered me a Topo Chico which is my fave drink hahaha- the exam was with Dr. Z, nicest gentleman ever, the exam was quick, thorough and to the point- I will definitely make this my new go-to place- OH and they have the most adorable frames! 1,2,3, GO NOW!

Overall very good service. From an eye exam standpoint, state of the art equipment and quick, friendly service. Its what you do after the eye exam that will perhaps lead you to get glasses elsewhere...you will not find reasonably priced glasses here period. It is a boutique oriented optometry service, so if you want a pair of glasses under $300 - grab your prescription and head on out the door. If you want a pair of glasses with top of the line mineral glass and designer frames and paying $600-800 for a pair glasses seems reasonable to you. You found your place :-)

Optique is a fabulous place where you feel in the lap of luxury from the moment you walk in and are offered a refreshment, to the beautiful, well-lit space where you try on the most impeccable selection of little-known, high-end, gorgeous eyewear Ive ever seen outside of London, to the exam where you are seamlessly and politely led through a process with totally cutting-edge ophthalmological technology. Honestly, would have been willing to pay much more than I did for the quality of my experience with Optique. Thank you so much!!

The best in town by far. They carry a great selection of frames and sunglasses and are on the cutting edge of current styles, materials, quality and technology (i.e. 3-D printed frames). In addition, the expertise and service are the best Ive ever experienced. I was to leave the country the following day and came down with an eye infection. Dr. Rhodes actually came in on a Sunday afternoon to examine me at her own behest out of genuine concern for my well being.
