Edit: they have added lots more staff, and it helps so much! Still a VERY busy location and needs to be stocked more (not just for sales). this location is 2 miles from my house. I will be going to the one on Adams Rd from now on, further but I bet you I can still get home quicker than going shopping at this location! It took me 25 mins to CHECKOUT at 9:30 at night on a TUESDAY!! Only had 2 cashiers, and at least 6 carts in each line. And the self scan lanes had lines of people as well. What is the point of having 20 registers when you always have just 2 or 3 open no matter what day of the week I come. And I purposely avoid the weekend because its even worse. I had to raise my hand and flag a worker to ask them to open another register, which he did but didnt turn on his light. Then a woman called customer service to let them know a man was harassing her and asked for help. Customer service rep called security who told her they cant talk to customers unless they are stealing. The customer service rep ( who was scanning my groceries as well) tried to call the manager and was told to have her call the police. The CS rep tried to flag down the greeter to ask him to check on the woman being harassed, even paging him overhead, and he still didnt respond! He was looking right at her!! I dont feel safe at this store anymore. Security is worthless. Manager cant even staff people and keep a good flow. Always out of items! Piles of dirt left in the aisles! If I wanted a Walmart experience, I would go to there then.

Update 7/17/2016: I sent the message below to Meijers Corporate Customer Support and received a response. I replied sternly that I expected a follow up call on the stores actions and specifically to their implemented corrective actions. Received a phone call a few days later from the stores director who shared that they had recently hired 8 new cashiers and would follow up on the remaining issues daily. I am still hesitant but certainly appreciate his approach to receiving criticism and reacting appropriately. He has asked me to provide feedback on how theyre doing in the short term. All in all it is a proper response to action but time will tell if it may be considered a permanent corrective endeavor. I have lived down the road from this Meijers for a mere 8 months now and the store has degraded significantly in that short amount of time. They are incredibly short staffed and what staff they have are incompetent and/or just plain rude. You will definitely expect to wait in queue at the checkout and the store itself is horrible shape. Unclean, poorly stocked and certainly haphazardly managed. I Have spoken with a few managers here and not one could make a decision. This store definitely requires an audit as I am certain Frederik Meijer did not envision one of his establishments being run in this fashion.

This is the biggest Meijer in the Rochester Hills area being much larger than its counterpart in the Adams Marketplace shopping center off of M59 & Adams Road. As such, it has a more extensive selection of housewares and general merchandise than the other Meijer, though the two seem to have similar selections with regard to food. This Meijer, located at the intersection of Rochester and Auburn Roads just north of where M59 meets Rochester Road is almost always busy due to its centralized location and heavy traffic in the area. The sheer number of people and vehicles here make it difficult to stop at this Meijer for a quick trip to grab just one or two items. If you need a lot of stuff and have time to deal with the crowds & commotion, this Meijer will suffice, but if you prefer a Meijer that is less chaotic, then head down M59 to the Meijer at Adams Marketplace.

This is the second time Ive had an incident at this store. This incident happen to be over an EBT card and a $300 Bill. There was more than enough money on the bill but their machines have a hard time reading the card. I was asked to take my car to the service stuff for the store manager decided to deny my card this is the second time Ive had a tension in at the store. This incident happened to be over and EBT card and he 300 dollar bill. There was more than enough money on the bill but theyre machines have a hard time reading the card. I was asked to take my car to the service test where the store manager decided to deny my card so they lost a $300 grocery bill. This comes after several days of the power outage and no food in my house disrespect me and embarrass me and then deny me of the purchase of my food great customer service not

I am a huge supporter of Michigan and will always shop Meijer, mainly for that reason. However, the Rochester location has gone down hill considerably over the past 4 years. There seems to be more greeters and cart personnel then actual cashiers. The deli and meat departments are absolute chaos during a rush. By Saturday afternoon their on shelf stock is low with no one really refreshing it until late night. They never seem to have enough cashiers with 20+ minute check out time you can forget buying ice cream! They do have curb side checkout now, which Ive not used yet, but I cant image them having the staff to process your order in more then 24 hours. Save yourself some sanity and go to Haul Rd. or Auburn Hills.

A great selection of just about everything. Groceries, clothing, shoes, and sporting goods for the entire family; toys, housewares, seasonal & garden, electronics & photo dept, health and beauty, hardware, plumbing, automotive, etc. Full pharmacy. Good daily prices on groceries & other merchandise. Great sale prices. Sales are for everyone, not just those with a membership card. Members can use virtual coupons & earn additional savings. Many self-service checkouts available. Starbucks and other amenities inside the store. Also has a comprehensive bakery and a deli, including prepared foods. Bulk foods were discontinued a couple of years ago.

One of the worst Meijers! Manager Sherry Burket is psychotic and should not be allowed in public. She is a horrible person who has violent outbursts on the sales floor. Her and manager Jeff Oz are two of the most unprofessional people I have ever encountered. They are mentally unstable and should have never been given any form of authority. They use what little power they have to bully and intimidate others. Meijer made a huge mistake hiring these people let alone promoting such useless incompetent sociopaths.

OMG! Curbside Pickup is the absolute most amazing thing that ever happened to grocery shopping! I have a 2 year old, and I can do my grocery shopping from home, while she naps, from work, in the middle of the night, or whenever, and then I just drive up and my groceries are waiting for me. Then they are loaded into my car while I sit on my fanny! I absolutely cannot even express what a life changer this is. Plus I dont end up buying a bunch of junk that I dont need and I stick to my list.

What has happened to Meijers? On my recent trip there were no; zero 8-12 cup coffee filters and only 5 1-4 cup coffee filters on the entire shelf. In the pharmacy there hasnt been any Tums berry favor tablets for months. All through the store one can fit a body on the empty shelves. Cashier lines are terribly long. This is a far cry from where Meijiers used to be but appears to be typical for now. When I contacted management her reason was their short staffed. Well Meijiers what now????
