I purchased a sofa last Fall and it arrived without any protective wrapping in a defective state. The very cheap nailed wooden frame was coming apart - we could see it thru a rip in the covering underneath and the thin frame was seriously bowed. The sofa was squeaky and uncomfortable, suspiciously different than in showroom. They offered to fix (no way) and said there are no returns. State law allows returns on defective goods so they had to offer to replace the England brand sofa. I did not want this shoddily made sofa again and let them know I was returning it and wanted my money back. They said there was no way they would return my money even thought the mfgrs rep was giving them a full credit for the sofa according to the owner Chip. After being called crazy by Chip for wanting them to take this sofa back - I was given a store credit but there was no other sofa I liked. I complained several times to Chip about the unfairness of this situation and just wanted my money back. He did increase the credit (guilt over the name calling I suspect) so I didnt have to lay out extra for the slightly more expensive Rowe sofa. I had more credit available but really dont want anything else from this store - I really was disgusted and felt I was being held hostage. The situation was stressful. I had to search online for a sofa which took a long time and buy it through them. Finally in late winter found a sofa that I could afford online and ordered it. They delivered it in Spring but again with no protective wrapping! The explanation is that they can inspect it - I never saw this before! no! I want a clean sofa delivered please. Anyway I spent $1279 of my money and felt like I was victimized by being forced into using Monarch. The sofa is ok but I didnt like losing all my freedom to buy where I choose to buy. If I dont like your practices then let me go somewhere else especially since Monarch was compensated by the manufacturer for the sofa in the first place. It cost you nothing to let me go. I would have chalked it up to a mediocre experience and gone elsewhere. Do yourself a favor and buy in NJ where the return policies are fair. Wish we had a Macys furniture store near here- they have good variety and very flexible customer service - I, nor my friends, family and coworkers have ever been called crazy by them either.

I purchased a Broyhill sofa and love seat and a leather recliner from Monarch Furniture. Their service and interest in solving issues with the Broyhill furniture has been great. I would definitely shop at Monarch again. Great service, Chip the owner truly cares about his customers and making them happy. As for Broyhill furniture, and their service, I would highly recommend you choose furniture from another company. Broyhill still has not solved the issues with my furniture and is leaving Monarch Furniture holding the bag for their extremely poor quality furniture. Broyhill Furniture is poorly made and the company has no interest in making my purchase right. Buyer beware of Broyhill Furniture, you do not get what you pay for and even less service when something is wrong. Thanks Chip for all your efforts, I am sorry Broyhill is doing you a disservice. first went to Lauters and was totally ignored. Went around the block to check out Monarch, and what a difference! Better furniture and prices, and way way way better treatment. This family-owned business was helpful and courteous. I dealt with the owners son, and he was excellent, even helped us to find a matching bookcase to go with our dining set and china closet. Delivery was made in 2 trips about 2 weeks apart, and yes you have to pay for everything upfront, but everything was delivered in perfect condition by respectful delivery people. 5 stars all the way!

Delivered used chipped and scratched furniture. Driver was very rude and tried to convince us it was a brand new furniture. Looking inside his truck no wraper after the furniture was found; he claimed he had unwrapped the furniture at the warehouse for inspection (LOL, he realy thought I was gonna believe it). Save yourself lots of frustration and money and dont buy from them...

Buyer beware! Do your comparisons before buying from this place. You most likely can find the piece for much less online. Once you place a deposit, you won,t be able to get a refund. They will only give you a store credit. Do your homework before you hand over a dime to these crooks becasue once they have a hold of it they refuse to give it back.

I had to drive 2 hours but it was worth the time. Very friendly and helpful without being too pushy. Reasonably prices and nice showroom. The salesman said he would send a swatch of the material for me and when it was going to be delayed he called me to inform me. Very happy with my experience here.

We were looking for a new sofa. Showroom had a sale on sofas, but the salesman we dealt with told us the sale did not apply to the sofa we were looking at. When we showed him there was no limitation in the sales insert we had he still denied. We left and will never return.
