This has been the worst experience of my entire life. First of all, I purchased a sectional memorial day weekend due to the enticing sales they had going on. We told the people in charge of delivery that we specifically can only have it delivered on a Friday (because all the delivery options are during normal working hours and we both are unable to get a day off). We get a phone call saying our couch is in and coming Thursday, when I tell them this is an issue as we said it can only be delivered on a Friday, they charge us a restocking fee. We then realized we ordered the couch the wrong way- we get charged again to fix it, fine, I understand that was our mistake. We get the new couch ordered and once again told them to deliver it on a FRIDAY. I get a call when its in and once again they are giving me a day other than Friday and want to charge us AGAIN. We call and speak with the manager and get it fixed. I then received 2 voicemails the day before delivery- first voicemail said between 4-8 p.m., second and most recent voicemail said 10:30-2:30. We accommodate to have someone there between 10:30 and 2:30 as that was what the last voicemail had said. I receive a phone call around 11 a.m. saying the delivery is scheduled between 4-8 and the address they were delivering to was incorrect!! They simply apologize and dont try at all to work things around to fix THEIR MISTAKE. We ended up having to cancel plans so we could wait for our couch to arrive between 4-8. 7 p.m. rolls around and still nobody has showed up and I have not received a call on what the status is. I call Ashleys to find out there are still 2 deliveries before mine. I got no phone call about them running behind. 8:30 p.m. the delivery guys finally show up and had NO CLUE they had to take our first couch out of the apartment. Due to them coming so late and our plans getting ruined, we just had them drop off the couch and we put it together ourselves. I call Ashleys on Saturday to discuss all of my issues with this entire purchase with a manager and am told he wont be in until later, the girl takes my name and number and what I am calling about. I still have yet to receive a call back from the manager. I will NEVER purchase anything from this chain ever again in my life. They dont try to work with the customer at all. Do not get roped in due to their low prices. Its true that you get what you pay for and I had to learn the hard way.

Id love to say that the furniture I ordered about two months ago is great but unfortunately I still have yet to receive it. I was told my furniture would be at my still-empty apartment on September 5. When I called to ask when I might be able to expect the delivery, I was told it would not be coming that day because my furniture had not even arrived at the warehouse. Had I not called, would I have even been notified? So then I was informed that they only do deliveries on the fourth Monday and Wednesday of every month, as well as every second Saturday. I was then told that the county I am in on Long Island (I moved from NJ to LI) was not even on their typical delivery route. It sure as heck was on their route when I placed my couple-thousand dollar order! I was then asked if I would like to pick up my furniture in Edison instead of waiting. Were they going to provide me a truck or the people to assemble my furniture when I got it back to my home? Of course not. Now, mind you, Ive been on and off of the phone with these people for the last week and a half and every time before I hang up I have been told I would receive a call back when my problem had been addressed with the warehouse and/or a manager. I have not once received a call from them- it was always I who had to contact them. Im not sure why my furniture isnt being delivered today, the second Saturday of the month even though they said they were already overbooked for this day- not my problem. I should have been the first on their list today as my furniture is already late. Instead, I was told that theyll "call me back by Monday NIGHT to let me know IF my furniture has been officially scheduled to be delivered on Saturday"- two weeks later than my expected delivery date. So, in the mean time Ill continue to sit in my empty apartment on inflatable furniture and write a horrible, yet honest review. Well see if they actually call me on Monday. If not, Im canceling my order.

Im giving the store 5 stars because I just loved the way I was treated by a gentleman named Ricco. I believe he is the manager. I went into the store in December of 2016. All I wanted to purchase was a loveseat due to the small area I have that it was going in. I expressed the concerns I had on the room being so small thats why I only needed to buy a loveseat. Rico then told me that he has a system where I can email him the dimensions of my room and he will be able to place Furniture in it with exact dimensions to show me if it would be too big or too small in the room. So I went home, took the dimensions of my room and actually came back to the store and gave him the dimensions of my room. He then went on and showed me a computer generated picture of my room with the loveseat I wanted to purchase in it. He had the dimensions of the loveseat and showed me how it would actually fit with room to spare. With that said I seen that I had more room than I thought. I actually walked out of the store after purchasing the love seat I wanted, plus a sofa and a recliner, one end table and a coffee table. Never did I imagine all of that would fit in my room. I and very pleased with my purchase. Not only did I get more than I expected, I also paid less than I thought I would. However I did go back to the store and I learned that Rico no longer works there. The customer service that I had received after returning to the store was not a very pleasant experience. With that said, I am giving the store five stars for my initial visit. Unfortunately I will not be returning to the store anymore due to the fact that the management and customer service has changed for the worst. I dont know what happened from the first time I was there but it is a dramatic change and its not a good one. If I had been treated the first time as I was the second time I came into the store I never would have bought anything from the store at all.

I dont normally write reviews but I run a business myself, and know the importance of remedying a problem which Ashley refuses to do: I bought a new sectional early December and was promised to have it well before Christmas. They called and confirmed delivery for Dec. 22. The following day they called to tell me they "lost a part of the sectional" and that my couch will now be delivered Dec. 29. (I just moved into a new house and was hosting both Christmas Eve & Christmas, so that pissed me off) My guess is they sold it to someone else who demanded to have it before Christmas. When my couch came, the delivery guys obviously dropped it as part of the frame was completely broken. I called and told them about my broken couch and about 10 days later they sent a third party out to "inspect it." I guess my picture wasnt good enough to convince them. He informed me that he did not work for Ashley but could "fix" the couchs frame with glue. GLUE! I explained to him that I bought a brand new couch and didnt want this one fixed, but wanted a brand new couch, because I didnt pay $2k for a broken couch. The inspector also informed me that this has been happening a lot with Ashley and that he was "on my side" and agreed that they should replace the couch. But, I wouldnt hear from them for another 3-4 days or so. Thats where Im at now. If you do decide to shop here, make sure to go online while you are there, find the same couch you are looking for and demand they match that price. Because they did with me, thats why they get 1 star.
