BUYER BEWARE; they DO NOT stand behind what they sell. Moreover, if you dont live in Carthage, TN.- where their repair shop is - you will be charged hundreds of dollars for them to pick up and return your product depending on where you live, but wont be informed of those charges until after the fact. We purchased a new 25,000 BTU A/C unit that didnt last 2 years. We drove 4 hours from Franklin, TN to Carthage to their repair shop; which by the way the docking area was a sea of broken glass and nails, to drop off our unit for repair. Consequently, during the "repair" they managed to destroy the electrical cord, lost the air control lever and bent & mashed down 2/3 of the outside fins and but only replaced the electrical cord. Mind you, we took it in for a freon leak only; the other components that made up this unit were in perfect condition other than it needed to be cleaned. We asked for a new replacement after all this because we no longer trusted the unit, but were refused. Sure enough, less than a year later its leaking freon again! Thus, we called the repair shop and was told by their service man Bobby they will not work on this unit again or replace it. In other words...suck it up. We tried to reach A.J. McCall by phone when this first happen last August, 2015 but was told hes "on vacation a lot" and he would return our call when he returns from Florida. Instead, he has a front man call to tell us he will not replace the unit but will give us $200.00 towards a new one. As a result, we have come to the conclusion that the posterity of the original founder of this company just skates along on his forefathers honesty and hard work. Shame on you and those ads you put on television. Just FYI...we have bought 2 A/C units from Lowes over the past 18 years and they both are still working; Lowes will stand behind what they sell.

At my age, I have made many many purchases in my life. After looking for a small side-by-side refrigerator and dishwasher at other locations, I went to D.T. McCall and Sons in Franklin on the day before I had decided to buy something elsewhere. I am SO THANKFUL I checked this place out! I had never been to this store before, but they had the exact Amana refrigerator I was looking for that nobody else anywhere near here had. I had the pleasure of dealing with Ray McCall, who not only found that they also had the refrigerator I was looking for in black (their display was white) but was also able to order the exact dishwasher my wife was looking for. The delivery was at no charge, and the delivery persons were very careful with the merchandise and also careful with our home! I could not have been more impressed with my first experience with the Franklin D.T. McCall Store. I rarely write reviews on Google, but this was such a great experience I wanted to share it. Five stars all the way. This store will be my first stop next time I am looking for an appliance, furniture, flooring, or any home improvement item. I cannot express enough what great customer service and attention to detail that this store has.

I cannot post without leaving a star, which is not even merited. The WORST service that I have experienced EVER! Their service techs were on drugs, didnt show up one day and could not get ahold of anyone who could tell me where the delivery guys were, the night (not day but NIGHT) they showed up late was the week of Christmas, and even after two deliveries (mind you that the invoice was for 3 commercial grade machines totally $4,000) they had lost papers, they tore up the floors, they tore up a bush outside, they did not bring the proper supplies to install the right hoses, and tore a hole in the dryer vent, the office did not return calls, no one apologized, it was an endless mess and still is. They never once apologized, no guarantee, worse customer service!

My service with D.T. McCall - Franklin, TN store was very unsatisfactory. Long story short, the seams in our carpet were not sealed correctly, and when they came to correct it, our TV cabinet and TV was overturned. Damage to cabinet, and about 5 months later the TV quit working. They have paid us a laughing amount to replace TV. We will not allow them in our house so we will not get our carpet replaced. We asked for the money it would take to replace our carpet, and it was ignored. They are very unprofessional, and customer service only is offered if it benefits them. Never will I do business with ANY D.T. McCall store.

They were delivered and installed for free and we were assured that if we needed any assistance they were only a phone call away. Their prices were very competitive and their service unmatched!
