I do not understand all of the horrible negative reviews for this place! All of the animals (including the puppies) seemed to be acting normal and happy. The puppies play fight and act like puppies. Ive bought a hamster here before in late 2010 (who lived for almost 3 years) and Im pretty sure all of the hamsters have always been only male... you can see that clearly for yourself if you pick one up and just look. We have also purchased beta fish from here in late 2011 and they lived for about 3 months. When I had a concern, the staff responded politely and assured me they knew what they were doing. One time I was there, they had a beta fish still in the bag in his little bowl. I was concerned that he would die, but one of the staff explained to me that they did that so the little guy could get used to the water and not die of shock. Most of the people who work here are younger adults, but they are supervised/managed by older adults. I have never had any problem interacting with the staff. I took away one star only because they really pack the feeder goldfish tightly into a tank... but I guess theres no other option considering that they are just feeders and are not intended to be pet fish. All in all, I like this place, the staff, and the quality animal care. Keep up the good work!

This store has been here for a long time, so they obviously dont do anything horrible as far as care of the dogs they sell. Also, they do participate in local charitable events from time to time when a rescue or the like needs help. I also believe they train the staff decently in caring for the puppies and teaching the staff proper handling, sanitation, and ways to help prevent the spread of illnesses. But I must admit, that any store that sells puppies (versus rescue/adoption), I dont care for. Ive worked in the animal care field for many years, and know for a fact that this store purchases puppies from Menonite farmers who breed simply for money. While they arent actual puppy mills, theyre only one or two steps above a puppy mill. They do provide vet care for the puppies, and Ive seen a vet truck in the parking lot on several occasions. But too many times puppies still have parasites or the sniffles when theyre sold. I think the staff does what they can to care for the puppies, but its where they come from that is questionable. They can easily bring a virus into the store, affecting everyone. A health certificate from a vet means very little aside from anything obvious when the puppy is seen.

Our roomates bought a puppy from this place months ago, they signed the paper work after reading carefully over everything. The puppy ended up being really sick and cost them over $800 in medical bills. He was aggressive and always would walk back wards. The puppy has horrible skin and ended up having scabies. We returned the pup and because of the contract, we couldnt get our $500 down payment because he didnt die or wasnt clinically "ill" even though we did everything within the contracts amount of time, legally. The pup was really sick and we had TWO different vet papers. Now, they are refusing to stop the payments for a dog that we dont have any longer even after we made the agreement that we would make the first payment(which we did). They keep telling us they cant control the payments that get taken out then turn around and lie and say they are. So at this point they are illegally taking our money. We will be reporting to the bbb, getting a lawyer and having the puppy mill shut down that they bought their already sick dogs from. Angela the owner has had many chances to call them back and hasnt made one attempt. This place is shady, illegal and down right awful. DO NOT BUY ANIMALS FROM HERE.

Pet stores get their puppies from commercial breeders...commercial breeders are puppy mills!! Parents are not health tested. They are lucky if they even get any vet care! A mixed breed is a mutt not a designer dog! You can adopt a mixed breed at your local shelter for way cheaper than what they charge you for so called "designers breeds". Genetic nightmares if they make it past the first month home! A reputable breeder doesnt charge with the pet stores charge The parents are health tested for genetic problems before being bred!! And reputable breeders give you a dog with better health and guarantee/stand behind their dogs! Pet store equals puppy mill. Puppy mill equals caged for life!!! Do NOT support it!!

We stopped in today to look at the different dogs they had and out of all of them, the dachshund puppy they had really stuck out. We held it, and quickly noticed this dog had major skin problems. His skin was very dry and flaky and the staff didnt seem to care. We still were in love with is, so we asked for the price. $1200.00! We already own two dachshunds and only paid $500 for BOTH! So, now I got curious. The guy who helped us told us this dog came from Tennessee from "Professional breeders." Chambersburg, PA has a puppy mill in the ranks. Will NEVER be back to this store. Awful customer service and could never support a place that sells dogs from a puppy mill. VERY sad experience!

Really awful reptile care...I was there yesterday and they currently have 3 leopard geckos that are EXTREMELY emaciated and have stuck shed which is cutting off their circulation, and it looks like they are feeding them leafy greens which is NOT a healthy leopard gecko diet. They have no humidity control and when I asked an employee they had no answer. Absolutely disgraceful the way these animals are treated. These poor geckos are on the verge of death. I truly hope when this place gets renovated they buy separate tanks for each individual reptile, like how Franklin Pet & Hardware does, and learn better basic care because these geckos are going to die soon.

These people get all their puppies from puppy mills!!!!!! The staff are illiterate about the animals that they sell. Maybe because the people working there arent above the age of 21. The store is run by children. Every single fish I bought from this place died within a week. I bought plants for my fish tank and all I got was soon to be dead plants and the disease they brought with them. I had to buy medicine to prevent them from dying!! I wouldnt recommend this store to my worst enemy. I feel awful for those puppies. They lay in their own filth, have serious skin ailments, and arent properly treated. I pray for the day they shut the doors on that place.

If there was any way to give this place 0 stars I would! They are not knowledgeable about animal care. Charge people to play with a puppy, while making people think it is because they take donations and support the local animal shelters. If they really supported shelter they wouldnt sell mixed breed puppy mill animals for thousands of dollars. A friend got a kitten, had it for 2 weeks and had to get it put down due to a bacterial infection that was so advanced there is no chance it didnt have the infection while at the store! Horrible place, horrible owners and horrible management!
