Too bad you cant give them 0 stars! I thought I wrote a review already, but maybe it was on Yelp. I bought a washer and dryer from them at the beginning of October. I needed the cables also; turns out they sold us the wrong ones, so those had to be exchanged (1st problem) Like someone already said, they couldnt deliver until a few days later (2nd problem). They were delivered and installed. I used my washer and the worst screeching/screaming/grinding noise youve ever heard came out of it (3rd problem). They told me to make a service appointment, which couldnt be scheduled for a few more days out (4th problem). The service man came and said there was no way to fix it and considered it "DOA," dead on arrival (5th problem). He said I could get my money back or exchange it. I decided to get my money back. (Lowes had the same thing for cheaper and free delivery, which I was going to have to pay another delivery charge of $84). When I called the store to let them know, they said thats fine, I could keep the washer/get rid of it myself and they would refund my credit card in the next few days. Well the credit card bill came a couple weeks later, with no refund (6th problem). I called the Sears store, couldnt get through. Tried again the next day, still couldnt get through (7th problem). Decided to go in person, was told they would let the manager know and shed give me a call; still nothing accomplished. Waited a week and never got a call (8th problem). Went to the store, finally was able to talk to a manager in person; was told she couldnt do anything because they didnt actually get the broken product back but said she would email her district manager and get back to me in two days. Never got a call (9th problem). Called the store, couldnt get through, multiple times (10th problem). Went to the store again to talk to the manager. It took about 30 minutes for the associate to get her (11th problem). The manager told me she needed to check her email and would let me know, took another 10 minutes, finally came back and said theres nothing she can do and they couldnt take my word for it that her associate had told me that I could get rid of the product on my own (12th problem). Essentially, its my problem for not bringing the washer back to the store; it was definitely not their problem that they sold me a washer that was DOA. The manager gave me an 800 customer service number to call and said see if they will do anything. Well the customer service people just call the manager and try to work it out, which Ive been trying to do on my own for almost 2 months and havent gotten anywhere. So basically Im pretty sure I lost $350 and any patience I ever had (13th problem). Those are just my problems. In the couple times Ive been in there, there have been multiple other people trying to return things and get their money back. The phone is always ringing and no one is answering it. There is no one to check out people, so people wait for 10-15 minutes until someone comes. People arent served in the order they come/get in line, so you can tell the customers get frustrated. Associates bring their kids (who are out of control) to work and yell across the store trying to discipline them. Its just a hot mess of a store. DONT SHOP HERE, EVER!

Bought a Kenmore Elite in May of 2014. We love it for a week and thought we got a great deal. Then we started having problems. First the water stopped working intermittently. Then the unit stopped cooling. We called the repair people and it took them a full week to get out to our house. In the mean time it ruined a whole fridge of food then it magically started working again. When the repair man arrived he said he couldnt fix it if it wasnt working. He didnt bother to test components or connections. It was plain he didnt want to be bothered actually trying to diagnose things. He told me I should take it back immediately since I was still within the 30 days of purchase. What? I should have taken his advice. Three service calls and a full two months of a fridge that cools then warms up then stops then cools again, the repair man (same guy every time) finally unplugs the defrost coil and finds a missing connection and declares it unfixable. Really? You couldnt have unplugged a few things and tested them in the beginning? So after 500 in spoiled food and a 1000 dollars worth of take out food, they finally take their piece of junk back. That was a week ago and as of today they still hadnt put my money back on my card. So I called and the manager couldnt talk. He called me back after two hours. He told me that the money hadnt been released yet because they didnt confirm they got the fridge back. So after a FULL WEEK of this POJ sitting in their warehouse he finally released my money. And I suppose I should bow in gratefulness. Its just laziness and thievery. These guys dont care about the product they sell and they dont care about their customers. They are just pushing returned junk into the homes of new suckers. If you are lucky and your appliance works - then you feel like you got a great deal. If you arent lucky and your appliance breaks - good luck. They dont care about you and the customer service at this store stinks. Youll have to call over and over again to get them to honor their agreement. BTW I went to Lowes last week (the same day they picked it up) and I got a Frigidaire with the same features for the same price on sale and I bought their 5 year warranty for 100 bucks - not the 300 the rip off artists at Sears charge. Dont be a chump - stay away from Sears Outlet.

I purchased a Kenmore Elite from sears in November of 2009. I didnt pick it up from store until the end of December. My husband and I were moving so we left it there until we moved. We did not purchase the extended warranty bc it was a top of the line Kenmore. We were advised not too. Monday Jan 24, I was getting ice when smoke started coming out of my ice maker. I opened up my ice maker and it was completely on fire. I was able to get the fire out. Fortunately none of my 3 children were close to it or even getting ice. We contacted sears and were told by several people that they would replace our refrigerator as well as our food. The manager of the store said he would replace it with a comparable one. Then Sears district manager (Dee Kirkpatrick) said it was our loss and would not fix our refrigerator or replace the food we lost. This is a huge hazard. My children could have been hurt, my house could have burned down, any number of things could have happened. Our technician said it could have exploded worst case scenario. We are out of a refrigerator. The customer service we received from Sears regarding this matter absurd. They were rude, unorganized, and lackadaisical. We did not hear from Sears at all through this matter. We had to contact them to receive any attention in dealing with this. The technician that handled this matter said this was not a warranty issue but was a fire issue. This could of been a much worse situation and we were fortunate that no one was hurt. Kenmore is a product that is made for sears. They only offer a 1 year warranty through the store. After that expires, if you didnt purchase an extended warranty then sears will not do anything outside that. I have never had any appliance that doesnt offer a warranty on their parts over a year. I will never buy anything from Sears again. Most companies like Home Depot will ALWAYS replace and guarantee their products. I will never again do business with Sears.
