Purchased a brand new set of GE Profile appliances from this company for a new house move that my wife and I were going to complete in August 2012. The store itself had very limited A/C and was uncomfortable to shop in with our baby son, but we were able to find a product that we were happy with and a decent price compared to Home Depot, Lowes, and other appliance stores. The delivery of the microwave and the dishwasher went great, but it was handled by a separate company. This company was fantastic and completed the entire installation very professionally. The "installers" from Appliance Discounters were a little rough with the GE Oven unit and left a few marks on the front stainless panel. Upon telling the store this they replied that it must be from packaging and claimed they didnt understand what I was talking about. Upon the very first two days of using the new GE Profile Microwave it stops working and flashes "Panel Short - Must Contact Repair Service" while Im at work and emitted a non-stop beeping sound which scared my wife. I rushed home from work and was able to shut off the power to the kitchen and disable the microwave. Being BRAND NEW I contacted St. Charles Appliance Discounters and told my salesperson what happened and that I was very upset. He said that he would take care of it by the next day and somebody from a repair company would call me. Low and behold, the repair company that called me was Mid-America Appliance Service. They didnt even know my name ... why I was calling ... and what appliances that I had and where from. They just wanted to know my address for billing purposes. Then they tell me that they cannot get to my service call until maybe next week. I already had my wife take off work (school teacher) the next day because I was told we would get immediate help. What made us even more upset is that Mid-America Appliance Service calls back about 10 minutes later and says "We cannot warranty service GE Appliances, the salesman at Appliance Discounters said that you had a Frigidaire!" So within a moment after purchasing my (3) new appliances for thousands of dollars not only am I completely hung out to dry, but they have totally forgotten what I even purchased in the first place. If you read this Appliance Discounters .. I called and got my own repair person, so thank you for nothing, I made sure to post this exact message to about 2,800 of my customers as well. Peace.

They hook you with the word "discount". They arent any cheaper that anyone else, but I felt better buying a washer and dryer here because they arent a big box store, they specialize. With that being said I bought a washer and dryer set for 1600. When they came the washer was obviously an open box floor model with scratches on both sides and no owners manual. I complained, they exchanged 2 weeks later with a new one in the box. The delivery team did not even attempt to level the washer and left it with a very bad wobble. When I asked the delivery guy if he would level it he said "they are always level when we bring them in" I explained to him that it has adjustable legs that screw in and out to make it level and he acted like he didnt know what I was talking about. I offered to show him how to level it if he had a level that I could use and he didnt have a level. He said they dont give them levels! WHAT!? LOL. OK, so I accepted the delivery as it was and levelled it myself. (Lucky for me Im a pretty capable guy) I would have been out of luck if I was a little old lady. They left the carrying strap they used in my laundry room, which I returned. I wont be recommending this place to anybody. During the whole thing Donna was very nice and professional but never offered me a "discount" for my inconvenience.

My refrigerator suddenly went out, so I was living out of coolers. Finding and getting a new refrigerator ASAP was very important. Not only could Appliance Discounters get the fridge delivered quickly, their price for the refrigerator we wanted was cheaper than competitors. Very easily arranged for home delivery, installation, and removal of old fridge three days later. Told they would call the night before delivery to give a four hour delivery window. Unfortunately, a medical situation developed that required a very important test on the scheduled day of delivery. Explained the situation to Donna, who had given us the time of delivery window. She was very understanding and helpful. Although the original window overlapped with the test time, Donna was able to get the new fridge delivered first thing in the morning so I could get the fridge delivered before going for the test. She then called mid-morning to double-check that we had received the fridge. Appliance Discounters now has my loyalty!

Horrible customer service!!! We purchased 4 appliances. The refrigerator was dented. The secondary company, Mid America Appliances said it would be 3 weeks to get a new door. New door came in and it was dented, waited another 3 weeks, another door came in dented. Went to Appliance Discounters and spoke with the manager Scott. He said "what is the problem, the refrigerator works and you got a good deal". Wow, glad I didnt buy a new car from him!! He offered me a floor model door. Why would I pay for a new refrigerator and then accept a floor model. Terrible follow up and customer service. Definitely, not worth the couple of dollars I saved with the initial purchase. I have had to take 4 days off of work so far and still have a dented refrigerator door. Sad thing is they could care less. STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS STORE!!! They will attempt to deliver a model number different from the model you purchased on your order form, plus they also contract - out their delivery service to some VERY rude individuals, and finally they have the audacity to insult clients which notice the model differences and attempt to get ALL their money back only to be told by the store manager that its "your ignorance" that you didnt read the contract. Definitely reporting them to the BBB and the MO State Attorney General for bait-and-switch. Guess what guys, youre in sales.. LEARN SOME CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS!!!

The customer service is terrible in this place. We were told that we would never find a fridge to fit the dimensions we had. We went to Lowes and Best Buy where we found the size we needed. Appliance Discounters had a higher price for the same appliances than Lowes and Best Buy. The lady that argued with us rather than helped us has been ripping people off for 30 years.

We put money down on a professional freezer-less refrigerator. The people there were nice and friendly, answered all your questions. Told 2 weeks for the refrigerator to come. It has been almost 6 weeks now. They keep saying it is on back order when Frigidaire says they have them ready for shipment. All I can say is WHERE IS MY REFRIGERATOR!!!!

Had a difficult problem to diagnose, it was kind of a pain, but it all ended up okay, and at the end of the day, everyone was sorry for the mix ups and did right by me. The aggravation was overcome by gratitude, glad to see that people still do exist with the belief in fixing problems and resolving dilemmas. Thanks guys!
