We bought a used dryer from Appliance discounters. I took a vacation day to wait for the men to deliver the dryer. I waited all day and they finally showed up a 6pm after they installed the dryer and did a test run then the delivery men left. We tried to dry some clothes later that night and the dryer failed to work. We called Tony and he said they would change it out for what they had at the shop. So we took another day off of that delivery fortunately they came early in the morning so we did not have to waste a day. Just before our 60 day warranty was up the dryer shot craps again. We called to have the dryer fixed and kept being redirected to the service man. This happened for a week and nobody from appliance discounters did anything to speed up the process meanwhile I have a load of wet clothes. After the week of calling the people at the store it was pretty apparent that they did not put customers first and we let them know it. After many calls to the store it was pretty clear that the people who helped us before were making not real effort in getting out dryer repaired so they just gave us the number of the repair guy who would repair our dryer, this is week two. So now we are talking to the repair guy who only does jobs for appliance discounters between 9am-3pm M-F we both have full time jobs making this nearly impossible. So we have been talking to this guy on behalf of the store trying to get out dryer repaired. The repair guy said this would be his last job for the store for reasons that are his own but this is not helping speed the repair process up, this is week 3. So after Christmas, as favor to us, the repair guy comes and finds the problem. He needs a part that he does not have in stock but will fix it some time this week, great we are now on week 4 and still no dryer. What a waste of time something that could have been taken care of a day has been dragged out for 4 weeks and is still a pain in my rear end.

I have visited both stores for Appliance Discounters. The St. Charles store is by far the best! The people are professional, helpful and friendly. They are very customer service oriented! Then I went to the Watson store! They were rude, inconsiderate and not customer friendly at all!! I called them about a certain appliance that was advertised & they only had a few left. I asked them to put it on hold for me & I would come right after work to pick it up. The guy asked me if I wanted to pay over the phone & I told him I wanted to pay in cash when I got there, He said, see you then! I called back a little bit later to ask a question about the item & he told me, "Sorry, we sold it!!!" He didnt even so much as call me to not only tell me they sold it, but to give me the option of purchasing it over the phone first! (because NOW he tells me that I would of had to do that in order to guarantee that it would be there when I got there!) What was the point of me putting it on hold if they were gonna sell it out from under me?? This is absolutely TERRIBLE customer service. I only had a truck for the that day, so I drove all the way to the Watson store thinking that they would feel bad for their error and try to make good on it. I asked him what they could do for me for this mistake of theirs & the inconvenience they caused to me. They offered me absolutely no deals and/or discounts on any remaining items of my interest! In fact, the manager was extremely rude! He asked me why I would even drive all the way there, when I was told on the phone that my appliance was gone & they had NOTHING else for me!! DONT EVER SHOP AT THIS STORE!! BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE ALL AROUND!! & very rude manager!!

Because I believe in supporting local businesses whenever possible, I purchased a high efficiency washer/dryer from Appliance Discounters in Webster Groves. Being Black Friday weekend I had multiple choices for the same product at even lower prices. However, seeing the sign in the store claiming "We treat everyone like family", I was willing to pay more in hope of good service after sale. Nothing could be farther from the truth! Dryer came without the shoe drying rack (promised at the time of sale); washer was not leveled properly and moved during every load; and the dryer was taking up to 2 HOURS to dry a medium size load! Regarding the lengthy drying times, the salesman advised me to clean my outside vent. After several calls, they finally agreed to send a repair man to check it, only to discover that the gas was never turned back on to the dryer by the delivery men. Months of wasted ELECTRICITY, not to mention my time, trying to dry clothes in a gas dryer without gas! And that shoe drying rack which was promised at the time of the sale...three times I have been told it was "somewhere in the warehouse", but it mysteriously disappears! Last story was that it was being ordered directly from the manufacturer and shipped directly to my house. It must have disappeared again!! Dont expect service after the sale here...and if this is the way they treat family, Im glad Im not related.

DO NOT BUY FROM THE ST. CHARLES STORE. Worst experience I have ever had buying appliances. Spent over $3500 on a new GE refrigerator and dishwasher. Trip one: dishwasher was installed and then made a horrible sound when going through rinse cycle. Trip Two, day two off work: New dishwasher was installed and works great. At this time, my new refrigerator was installed. While the install crew was TRYING to fit it through my front door, they decided to take a short cut and not remove the doors. BIG MISTAKE. Called Appliance Discounters for the third time and told them the refrigerator was scratched to pieces and so was my storm door. They offered me a $50 damage claim and said GE would come to give me new doors the next day. Day three off work: GE shows up to tell me that they do not have the doors and that I should call Appliance Discounters and tell them I want a new refrigerator. So, I am waiting for a call back from them as we speak. I am going to tell them to come get all of their appliances and I will go somewhere else. Three days off work and $3500 later, I am NOT a happy customer!

We purchased a washer and dryer from Appliance Discounters. I was disappointed that they did not make us aware after installing it that it would need to be more level. We called to ask if this would be a problem and they said no. The owners manual and a contractor said that it should be level so we had to install concrete slabs. We trusted Appliance Discounters to know their product and advise us accordingly. Additionally, the management does not understand accesibility issues. I was walking my baby in a stroller on the sidewalk at the plaza when I was not able to pass because a ramp was blocking my way. The workers were not loading or unloading anything. Two men inside the store were sitting on their duffs just looking at me. I had to ask them to move the ramp. On my return trip they had placed the ramp back where it was blocking the sidewalk, but this time an employee was there to move it. He was polite but I found it unprofessional for an employee to be smoking while working. I had to push my baby through cigarette smoke. Thanks for keeping it classy, Appliance Discounters!
