Ive had my car for just a little over a month, and the car is already falling apart as we speak. First, let me say, the customer service was excellence. The process was easy, fast, and efficient. No complaints there. Friendly people, upbeat attitudes. However, Id take poor customer service over a reliable car any day of the week! My car was put in the shop for 4 days after 3 weeks of having the car. Here is the scary part: I took the car in b/c the tires needed air (all 4 of them) every 30 miles, so I wanted to see if it was an alignment issue. I also was alarmed by a clicking noise coming from the engine. There was also some electric problems -- sounded like a CD disk opening and closing all the time. I go to one of their approved "mechanics" and find out my entire water pump needs replaced ("its leaking like a SOB" - -that was his EXACT words), and a radiator fan under the hood broke, which was still running minutes after the car was turned off! There were other minor things, as well. I was w/out a car for 4 days. Again -- only 3 weeks after purchase. To make matters worse, the mechanic told me that the "clicking" noise was normal. Well... since then, its gotten worse. Its so bad, and this is no exaggeration, I have to BLAST the radio just to drown out the sound. I paid out of pocket to have my own family mechanic look at my tires, and they told me the tires were totally shot. So Im going to have to replace the two front ones on my own. I dont know what to do about the clicking sound... Drive Times "mechanic" only covered the water pump and fan. They did NOT cover my tires, and the electric (which is frighteningly bad), and this damn clicking noise -- which sounds like the engine is about to fall out (no lie!) Being upset, I went into the store. Again, they were friendly (and "seemed" concerned) but the only thing they could offer me was to call (while there) customer service. Customer service told me that they would get back to me in 24-48 if I was eligible for a rental car and if they would cover the tires. Guess what? NO ONE called me. I tried and tried. They kept saying they are waiting to hear back from the mechanic. The only reason I found out they werent covering the tires was b/c the mechanic told me himself. I was told by a manager at the store that DRIVETIME test the vehicles by driving it around for 30 miles. People, this is what Drive Time means by "quality vehicle inspection". In fact, the first car I first looked at, KIA SOLE, was DEAD. It needed a jump start, he said. So I passed. That should have been my first sign. Under their Q&A page, it says that 99% of their cars have never been in a wreck. After, literally, all the paperwork was signed, I was given the paperwork that showed my car was in a wreck -- and, trust me, you can feel the twerk when making turns. I appreciate them telling me about the wreck -- but these are the type of cars they drag in from the swamp. Here is whats so devastating to me. B/c of student loans (and credit cards to pay them off) my credit is not where it should be. So places like Drivetime, at least on the surface, seem like the place to go. They work with everyone. Unfortunately, though, I pay almost $500 a month for this car, not to mention you have to have full coverage, which adds another $100 for me. So Im paying almost $600 a month, for a car that once is paid off, will have cost me over 35K. And the car already has 109K miles on it. Just b/c they work with people with lower credit doesnt give them the right to con you. So while this particular location may be well-versed in sales pitches and friendly conversation, they surely do not have safe and reliable cars on their lots -- believe you me. Def dont get a Buick Lacrosse their. There are other alternatives out there for people with lower credit. Dont get locked into an expensive contract for a car that will be placed in the shop every other week. Very disappointed. Feel scammed. 11/9/16

Do NOT buy a vehicle from this place! My fiancé and I just had to put our DriveTime vehicle in the shop AGAIN, we are supposed to move into our new place this week and cant because we are STILL waiting for repairs to be made, of course the warranty doesnt cover the Catalytic Converter that blew right after the 3 other times weve already had to take this piece of junk in!!! $800+ in repairs out of OUR pocket! out of OUR wedding savings! Out of OUR moving money, not to mention the time and money weve lost from having to take off work to drop and pick up this vehicle from the shop pretty much every week. We are constantly being stuck with repair costs for this piece of crap on top of the ridiculous biweekly payments. No wonder the salesman forgot to place the sheet that says whats covered and whats not in our folder even though we specifically asked him to make an extra copy- we STILL havent received a copy so every time we go to the shop we have to call around to see what is or isnt covered, of course 99% of the time nothing is covered. They dont want you to know they dont cover a single thing once you drive the piece of junk off the lot. Do yourself a favor and just avoid this place, or youll end up like us, out tons of money that you worked hard for to save up for a wedding, a new home, a future... buying a vehicle here will truly ruin your life and happiness and it will be in the shop so much you will wonder why you even bothered to get a car in the first place, it defers the entire purpose. Putting a saddle on your grandma would be a more reliable way of making it to work than using a car from this DriveTime.

I bought a vehicle from Miamisburg store almost 30 days ago. I was told that due to my 45 minute drive that they would send my tags to me (they charged a clerical fee to get the tags for me). My 30 day tag expires Sunday. I have been calling all week and have been told multiple times that the lady that does that would call me back. Today I was on hold for 10 minutes waiting for this mystery lady only to hang up and call back. I spoke with manager (not from this store) that could not even find the log to tell me if my title had been sent for tags or not and mystery lady was picking up another car at another store. Again promised she would call me. I am running out of time. Who is going to cover my time off work when I cant drive the car I paid for because I cant have the tags that I paid for????? No one can give me a straight answer. Edited...... 03/20/2015*****Original review.....Ashley was amazing! I came in without an appointment on probably the coldest day ever! She went above and beyond while I tried to decide what I wanted. No pressure sales tactics, just genuine desire to help! Everyone there was super great, made myself and my girls very comfortable! Thank you again Ashley for going above and beyond to help me decide!
