Tennessee Bound!
Where do I start. We bought our chickens from them. We use them only for feed. That was the beginning. Fast forward a year later, and we now have a horse. I am new to horses. I must have stuck out like a sore thumb in a suit last week asking a million questions. What feed, supplements, etc. Addie to the rescue. She was simply amazing. She made me feel like I was the only person there that needed help. Even though, there were plenty of clients. Its that level of personal attention that puts pet food depot over the top. They have won me, may family, and anyone else I talk to over as a loyal customer. I drive past two other places to get to them. And it is worth every mile. Thank you for all your help. WONDERFUL!!! They SAVED THE DAY for The Humane Society Fundraiser that Ends On the event DAY Dec17 After having the ground rip out from beneath this fundraiser by The Stock Shop at67ave&Thunderbird agreed to house a Donation station and the kids created it for them and delivered it with flyers about the event The Manager found out she was not allowed to do that, She chose not to inform me at all...come to find out they NEVER even put it on Display. So Pet Food Depot stepping right up and SAVED THE DAY... Thank You for caring about your actual business...ANIMALS.

The good - prices and selection are fairly outstanding. The bad - The place smells terrible. I know that rabbits, turtles, etc, are sold there...but every time I go in it hits me like a ton of bricks. The spotty - Service. The counter girls are young and regularly inattentive. Recently, I was the third person in line out of 5. The two girls working there were arguing about whether or not something was in stock. They talked for minutes and never once addressed the line - No "Be with you in a minute," nothing. Be ready for bad service 50% of the time.

I absolutely love these guys!!! Ive been using Maei Dog Food which is their own specialty made brand for 2 years now and it is amazing.I have 2 large breed Lab/German/Pit mix and purchase 3 bags that they always have on special when you buy more quantity each bag is reduced. It really lasts my pups a good 3 months.I feel the dog food doesnt have empty calories so they dont gorge themselves. Our cats love it too.The staff is AWESOME as well.Always ready to answer or find an answer if they dont know.

I agree the place is dirty and disorganized but I was trying to support a local place and not go to the big chain store. But the clerks are rude at times, unhelpful at other times. I would say about 1/2 the time I get pleasant service. So it it to Petco from now on. They carry premium foods, are clean, have a savings card and the clerks are, well, just normal - not rude not indignant.

If you need gear for your cat, bird, or horse, come on in. These folks are always happy to answer your questions. If you are looking for a sterile environment to shop in, go to Target or PetSmart. It is an old style place. Yes, with warts and all. I like the character, and being able to support a local business that looks like a farm building and has fake animals out front! Yeehaw!

Have to stop in about once a month to stock up on dog food, treats, bones, etc. From my first visit, over a year ago, trying to find a good dog food for my pointer/pit bull mix, to more recently looking into anti-itch products, the boys know their stuff. Always friendly and I always leave laughing or with a smile on my face. Thank you for your bright services.

I agree with supporting local businesses, and this one has everything from Koi food to goat and horse food, as well as a very wide range of brands that the chains do not carry. Ive always found the staff to be helpful and friendly, so Im thinking the person writing the bad review was just having a crummy day.

Nice place, they sell for any animal, horses to birds to cat and dogs. There are some smaller aisles, but the staff would help anyone out with finding something they needed. They also have a ramp leading out past parking lot to the streets sidewalk on N. Cave Creek Rd. If you take the bus.

I found premium small animal products that Ive only been able to order on-line! Im sad they have cut way down on their equine offerings but I guess they didnt have as much demand. I can find those items elsewhere but will be coming here for my kitty and dog supplies.

Great place with knowledgable staff. Have the brands i shop for that are not in the larger stores. Offer lots of Natural remedies for ailments which helped better my malamutes digestion more than the GNC brand previously used. Toys are very good quality, like godog.

Best selection in a 50 mile radius! I drove all the way here from Maricopa and was more than impressed! If your looking for above & beyond, or just need to find that certain item you cant find anywhere else, Pet Food Depot is the only place to go!

Theres a lot in a little area. Great prices! Customer service could have been better. Not once did anyone greet me or even ask if I needed assistants. My first impression wasnt the best, Ill shop there for the prices but thats it.

Ive been a fan of PFD for years. The folks there are very knowledgeable, friendly and willing to help. Its a great feeling to buy from the smaller stores who treat you kind are knowing youre not just another cow in the herd.

Super helpful. I have a st bernard and i wanted premium dog food for a good price! In and out and the man carried my bag to the car. Definitely going back! So many neat things to find for my puppy

The selection and prices are so much better than other pet stores. I shop here for all my dog and cat needs. Staff is friendly and helpful, but not over bearing or pushy. Love this store!

All the amazing things for farm animals. Sell ducks chicks rodents turtles. Bulk feed it a life saver. And they have Larry Fitzgerald Jersey cookies for the pups.

I love this store. Their natural dog food prices are a lot cheaper than chain pet stores and so are their bones. Toys are a little pricey though.
