Poor experience, Petco has officially lost my business. The older lady with red hair and an expression-less face has the absolute worst customer service I have ever witnessed, and this is coming from somebody who similarly does not fair well in face-to-face, customer service jobs. An admission of my flaws, and at the behest of this acute awareness,, I actively avoid working with the general public. I cannot say the same for her, as her career trajectory placed her at the forefront of a position she is woefully unprepared for. I wandered around aimlessly looking for an associate, until I encountered the aforementioned lady casually chatting with a colleague. Instead of asking if I need assistance, she made eye contact, almost passively acknowledging me as an existing human being, and walked AWAY with the associate to continue their conversation that clearly trumped the bottom line and profitability of the company who employs them. Dumbfounded, I stood a few feet away, awaiting service. After wrapping up the extremely important conversation, she asked "what do you need." Something pet related, I assure you, its the only reason Im here. The associate she was speaking too walked me to the aquatics planted tank (a department in poor condition, laughably so, but I digress) who manhandled an Amazon Sword, damaging a delicate leaf, before throwing it into a water-less bag, that he couldnt be assed to even tie up! I had to ask for water, and ask for a rubberband, to tie it myself. Petco, you dropped the ball, and this will be the last dime you see from me. Consider hiring people who are skilled at engaging with the general public, it is the bare minimum requirement of a customer service job.

They have the absolute worst customer service ever. This place outright sucks. First of all when I came in nobody answered my questions and said "I dont know" and one even said he would ask but never went and asked. Then I just called them and they hung up on me. Most of their fish are sick and end up dying within hours of being there or being purchased. Then they wouldnt refund my purchase of a sick fish.

I bought a common Pleco (sucker fish/algae eater) and it gave my Betta Ick/Ich. Called the store twice and was listening to ringing for several minutes before giving up. Their CS number was no help either as they simply transferred me to the store to listen to more ringing.

The store is small but easy to get around and find the necessities. Staff is wonderful; friendly and knowledgeable. They do dog training, cat, ferret, hamster, rat, fish and reptile adoptions, but no grooming. They may not have everything but thats why we have the internet.

We clean house every few weeks here. My pit bull mix just loves to eat and she will only touch Purina brand. They send coupons and you collect points towards rewards, thank God. We can save a little money at least when we drop $100 on food each time.

Ill tended to animals. Over priced, underfed animals. Misinformed employees. Typical corporate run establishment. Get them in, get them out. Not a pleasing environment. I got more help from visiting vendors than I did from employees.

They all have ICH killed half my fish. And the reptiles are not kept properly. Ball pythons humidity was at 20 when it needs to be in the 80s at all times.
