We purchased a sectional from Levin Furniture expecting the piece to be a sofa on one side and a loveseat on the other. The sales associate said this could be done. After 6 weeks of waiting for our order, we received the couch, but it was not what we had ordered. What was delivered included 2 full sofas, instead of a sofa and a loveseat. Well, this is does not work for the space in our condo. So, we called the store and spoke with Toni first. She basically told us that we dont know what we wanted and she ordered it correctly (Im pretty sure we know what we want). Then we asked if we could have the one piece adjusted, but no. So we asked if it could be returned. No. Then we asked if there was anything that Levins could do as this was not what we wanted and doesnt fit our living room. No. There is nothing she [Toni] could do. Well, now we went from disappointment to completely unhappy. I called back and spoke with the store manager, Bob, and explained the issue. He was polite at first, but after reviewing the order, explained there was nothing that he could do. What really made this a customer service nightmare is that Bob insisted that Toni ordered it correctly and we basically didnt know what we asked. Once again, we knew what we needed and wanted. I asked if we could just return the one piece, but he said it was impossible. Then he explained to me that the loveseat that we wanted was armless and couldnt have an arm added, so Toni ordered the full sofa. I explained to Bob that this was the first time we were told that the loveseat with an arm wasnt possible and that Toni did NOT explain that to us. We did not want 2 full sofas. Bob then patronized me with "Toni has been doing this for years and knows what she is doing" as if I do not know what I want and what I asked for in a sectional. Point blank, Toni did not listen to us, the customers, and also did not explain to us the full details of what can and cannot be done with this product. Instead of working with us and providing quality customer service, Toni and Bob chose to talk down to us and not even try to work with corporate for us. We are out money on a piece of furniture that we cannot use due to the negligence of the sales associate. It is one thing to have a mistake with an order. It is a entirely different thing to not communicate the full information with your customers (just wanting to make a sale?), refuse to assist them with the problem and then belittle them. Levins misled to make a sale and then refused to correct the problem. However, we will never go back to Levins for anything ever again due to the poor customer service which we had received.

I like to give the good with the bad when it comes to experiences. I will admit when i first entered i was not sure i was going to be buying anything that day needed to talk to my Fiance but i am glad i came back with her, we looked around and had a great time. The sales rep we had was very helpful and not pushy to say the least. The bad experience we had was with another sales rep there when we went back to get some measurements and information I asked if i could have a paper with the dimensions of the new furniture to take home so he handed me the sheet of paper and walked away. I went and folded up the sheet of paper to talk with me because that is what i asked for and he came back over yelling at me saying i cant have that and was practically blaming me for stealing it and once he found out we were not buying and already bought he was ruder then anything and practically ignored us. Again i like to put good with bad if it happens. Our salesman was great the second time around one of his partners gave us a very bad taste for there were not sure if we will be back or not hate to say it. I wish i wouldnt have taken this long to edit this. the top statement is correct, although i am happy to say i did get a phone call from the owner personally and spoke for sometime about my issues and what had happened. I will admit i was very grateful for that and that my concerns were heard. I would recommend someone here just because of that type of customer service after the fact.

My husband and I will never shop there again. 1. The furniture is cheap. Basic wear and tear (e.g. sitting on a couch) will destroy the build and fabric. 2. Revolving door salespeople. If you say so-and-so stated this, well that person is long gone out of there and Levin wont be responsible for what they said. 3. Levin doesnt stand behind their product or warranty. The warranty that salespeople sell is not accurate. We were told that the warranty we were purchasing covered everything under the sun including cat scratches to the fabric. Well, the couch springs decided to exit out the bottom of the couch after our manufacturers warranty was up (1 year and 3 months later), so the Levin warranty was in effect. What were we told when we called to request service? "Oh, thats too bad. Yours only covers fabric. So, sorry. But heres some other company we work with who can fix it. But we actually dont work with them. They just fix furniture". This other company is some fly by night operation, so we were definitely not going to have them in our house. We were told the same thing in person, so at least theres consistency there. 4. When you tell them youll think about a purchase but they state you need to sign to hold the price, youre actually signing to complete the sale. Then you get to fight with them stating that no, you really dont want the furniture. We were charged for cleaners that we never received, as well.

I have been disappointed with levin around every corner. Bought a mattress and mattress pad. I was told with the mattress pad you could return and re-select. When I ended up hating the mattress because the sides feel like they are collapsing when you lay on it, they told me I had to keep it for 30 nights and they could send a tech out to measure for defection. After four calls I finally get a tech to come out. He measured only if its sinking in the middle. I tried to tell him thats not my complaint. My complaint is that the sides are collapsing. He said this is standard procedure and this is protocol. Of course the mattress was found not defective because he didnt he measure the sides. They make it nearly impossible to find the mattress defective so now in order to re-select I am going to have to pay 20 percent restocking fee and delivery of the next mattress. Funny when I bought this mattress pad they never told me about the small print. I had gone in once to pick out the mattress I want and was reassured that I could call in and order over the phone by not only my salesperson, but the manager too. Now, I just called in to order and they told me i have to come in in person. They have been absolutely awful to deal with. I have a whole new house to decorate and was planning on buying most the furniture at Levin. I will not buy anything else from them and I will spread the word to my family and friends.
