On Monday August 21, 2017, my wife and I stopped into the Lancaster store to look for a couple of furniture items. The. First item was an new power recliner, when we entered the store the assistant store manager directed us to Cory Brown. Cory began by establishing what we were needing in the new chair, after establishing our needs Cory proceeded to show us the differences in chair construction and use of materials. After the very informative presentation Cory showed us three differnt recliners that would meet our specifications. At each chair Cory encouraged us sto try out the chair and take our time to make sure the chair would meet out needs. Cory would tell us pricing and sales associated with each of the chairs, and at no time did we feel pressured to make a quick decision on our purchase. Once we made our final decision Cory checked on availability, delivery schedule, and the final bottom line. Once we finished we informed Cory that we were also in the market for a new bed, Cory then took us over the the bedding department and was going to hand us off the the bedding specialist. Once we got to the beading department Cory found that the specialist was busy with another customer. Instead of leaving us to walk around on our own Cory did a very good job of telling us basic information about the products, even though it was not his department. Coorys knowledge and customer service went far beyond that of other competitors that we had been to. Even after the bedding specialist took over Cory checked on us and even help to facilitate our pick up of some bedding items that we had purchased,, all of which took place 30 minutes of the closing time. Our shopping expirence will have us coming back to Big Sandy in the future. Now for the second item the bed, Cory introduced us to Matt, the bedding specialist. Again Matt began by accessing our needs for a new bedding system. After determining our needs Matt began to show us the product that he felt would meet our needs. Matt took time to explain the features of each of the product lines that he had suggested. Matts knowledge of his product lines was very extensive and complete. Matt encouraged us to try each of the suggested products and compare them all in different scenarios. Just like our epirence with Cory, there was no pressure to make a snap decision. In fact when we had narrowed it down to two products Matt encouraged us to try each of then again before making our final decision. JUst like Cory, Matt was very thorough on explaining the cost, warranty, and shipping cost.By the time we had finished it was 30 minutes beyond closing time. All the way home my wife and I talked about how positive our visit to this store had been. I truly believe that these two gentlemen have made long time customers out of the two of us. Bought a couch, loveseat, TV, mattress and a bed. The bed was suppose to be ordered on Nov 8, 2014 but wasnt, didnt find out till 7 wks later when I checked in to find out when it would be in because no one ever called me, no I am sorry just Oh we will order it the girl you bought it off of quit-NOT MY PROBLEM! Then it was to take 4 more wks when I stopped back in because no one called me again it had been sitting in the warehouse-who knows how long-well this time it was a queen bed and a king size headboard and that doesnt work! So ordered again and will take another 4 wks. and again I stopped in 2 different times to see if it was in before it was in because no one would ever call you even though you have talked to the manager of the store numerous times and ask her to please call you but she obviously feels that isnt important because she never does, this time it is broken! So 4th time and another 4 wks we got a headboard on March 28, 2015 ! So not a pleasant experience!

First time there and probably last. Nice selection, bought a electric leather sectional and paid for the warranty and delivery. Plus other things. Couch was delivered on Wednesday at 2 right on time. Good delivery. Guys finished at 2:30 getting it set up. Left. At 2:40 recliner broke. I looked it over and the motor dropped because there was no screws to hold it in place. Poor quality control. Called big sandy. The guy who sold it to me said "we will deliver a new one on friday" which was fine with me. Took the day off. Friday comes and I havent heard anything so I called to check delivery time. And the girl in customer service said its coming saturday no sympathy or questions on why I thought friday, nothing. What a waste of a day. Makes me want to return and shop somewhere where they want my business.

Hats off to great service Just wanted to let you know how pleased we were with your service. We bought a couch sleeper, loveseat and a recliner. I looked up the furniture online and was going to buy it from a store in NY. I was worried about the service and wanted to buy it locally instead. I used your guaranteed low price link after I found the same furniture at your store. I included the prices that I found online and Melissa Stitt responded with a better price than you advertised online. I was pleased that we could get a good price and buy locally. Also, the delivery was on time and the guys (Bob and Jason) were great. Introduced themselves and were very cordial. Impressive. We purchased a sectional from Big Sandy less than 6 months ago. The sectional had sharp metal tabs sticking out from the frame. It took a few calls and some time for service to come out but eventually they let us exchange the furniture. We chose "upgraded" furniture made by Jackson Furniture and paid the difference in price. After only 2 months of having the new couch, the frame is broken and springs are popping up. Service came out and said that we would hear from someone in 24 to 72hrs. It took 10 days and me calling them 3 times to get the run around... We are still unable to reach any management to resolve our issue. We do not want the same junk furniture and do not want to deal with this every 2 months. Big Sandy = Big Problems! Not worth your time or money!

Huge selection of stuff you cant take home. The prices arent even better than the other stores in town. In fact we ended up buying our item from another store for $70 dollars cheaper. (both times actually for an appliance and for furniture) The employees work on commission so they follow you around, and all deliveries are made on Tuesdays and Saturdays. You cant take anything home today, because its just a huge showroom, and all their products come from Ashland, KY. Each time Ive looked on their website or in their store Ive found the same item somewhere else for much cheaper (and faster delivery) Its not that its a "bad" store, it just wasnt "worth the wait" as advertised. The sales staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I just doubt Ill ever go back.
