My refrigerator had lived a long life and was starting to crack up inside into pieces. So, my boyfriend told me that we should go to East Coast Appliances to see about getting a new refrigerator. He said they had an unbelievable selection and the best prices around. He had done business with them before. Boy, he wasnt kidding! Their selection of refrigerators was amazing. I really needed to find a black refrigerator to fit my kitchen color scheme and they are not usually in stores anymore. But, East Coast Appliances had plenty of refrigerators in every color available. The salesman Jamie helping me was very knowledgeable, had a great personality and was not pushy at all. I could tell he really wanted me to get the refrigerator I wanted, not try and push me to one they might want to get rid of, like some other stores do. My home was built in the 80s and had the refrigerator built into the wall in a size that is no longer widely available. But, Jamies vast knowledge on refrigerators allowed him to know immediately the only refrigerator model made today that would fit my refrigerator space in my kitchen. Working together just to double check, measuring the refrigerator size with a tape measure to make sure it would fit in the refrigerator hole in my wall. He nailed it. He pointed me to the refrigerator options that would work with my kitchen and space restraints. I found the black color I needed and the price of the refrigerator did turn out to be the best price I could find. After leaving the store to shop the price around. The next day, when I went back after pricing the refrigerator at other retailers and finding in fact that East Coast Appliances did offer the best price on the same refrigerator... Jamie was at another location. But, had arranged for Butch to take care of my purchase of the refrigerator. Butch, too was fun, had a great personality and was very helpful in getting me out the door with my new refrigerator. Ive now owned the refrigerator for a month and love it. Its perfect, works great, fits great, the price was great and East Coast Appliances was awesome all the way straight down the line. I DEFINITELY recommend East Coast Appliances to anyone and everyone. You cant go wrong and they will definitely take care you! Kim White Order# 452352-1

I am a first time home owner and I decided to renovate my kitchen and updated my appliances. Since my home already had good working appliances this was the first time I had ever shopped for any. I was a little skeptical to even go to East Coast because a few of my friends had told me that their inventory was only scratch and dent items. I was pleasantly surprised when I visited the Virginia Beach location. They have so many different options to choose from in their showroom. A lot more options than Lowes or Home Depot (and I love Lowes). Lloyd greeted me upon my arrival. He was not pushy as most salesmen tend to be. He gave me some history on the different brands and help me come to the best decision for my project and wallet. We even compared prices with Lowes, every time East Coast was between $20-$50 cheaper than Lowes. Lloyd explained that if the items I purchased happened to go on sale at Lowes or anywhere he would be happy to refund the difference even after the items were delivered and installed in my home. With that as an option, I settled on a new range, dishwasher, and refrigerator. My refrigerator was on back order due to the manufacturer. It was not projected to arrive until 4 weeks after it was ordered. Not only did it come on time it came ahead of schedule. The refrigerator arrived in only a week. Lloyd continuously followed up with me and kept me informed. He even arranged to have all of my appliances delivered together once they arrived to the store. On the day of delivery there was a minor hiccup with the dishwasher I had purchased. Lloyd went so far as to deliver the dishwasher to my home in his own personal vehicle. I have never experienced such care as I have working with East Coast. I am so happy to have had so many options. If you have a small budget or are looking for something higher end, I highly recommend East Coast. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They have so many more options than a hardware store who happens to sell appliances

Once again I was disappointed by your company again. I have purchased a new washer/dryer/micro-wave/refrigerator and dish washer. The clothes dryer was delivered with a cracked plastic casing, that I did not notice until the delivery people were gone. My refrigerator although a floor sample, and in perfect shape in the store except a few minor surface blemishes was delivered to me with a bend frame. Unfortunately I was working when they dropped it off, and jammed it into the enclosure. After calling they sent two very courteous repair men over to fix it. This required four different repair dates, to our inconvenience, for their mistakes. I called the customer care rep, who said I would be called back immediately, and you guessed it no call. recently I have had dish washer trouble with a leaking door. We have had a repair man out to our house six seperate time now over the last 2 1/2 months to fix it to no avail. Now, the service repair professional was great but, when the manufacturer (Electrolux) could not help him diagnose the problem after five calls they, I was told that they "condemed" the machine as non-repairable. But, the insurance policy bought at the store wouldnt replace it because it was not cost effective. Now we have to continue to stay on top of East Coast to full-fill their responsibility. I can honestly say that if you purchase anything from this store and have it delivered 1) Inspect the item off the truck before it enters your house. 2) Inspect the item in your house before it is installed 3) Inspect the item for proper function before the delivery goons leave And if there is anything amiss do not accept the merchandise. I am now very happy that H.H. Gregg is in town. I will be shopping there and Sears from now on.

I bought a new Whirlpool Washer and Dryer. I commented to the representative that I was apprehensive about buying appliances with so many features because of the additional potential for problems. She said that they have a one week return policy. The washer/dryer were delivered the following day. I tried to wash a load of sheets and it took more than two hours because the washer would stop and flash a code. I finally found a setting that worked. Two days later it took four hours to wash two loads of clothes, as the machine would stop and flash another code. Day 5 I returned to the store and asked to replace the units with something less complicated. I was not asking for my money back; just replace the units with something less likely to present problems. I was told that they do not take returns. The representative told me to call the service department and schedule a service appointment. He also told me there is no one week return policy and that they will not exchange the units that I bought. I said "So East Coast is going to stick me with a defective product." Silence. I scheduled a service call and was told that someone would call later in the day to give me a three hour window for service the following day. No one called. I called the service department at noon the following day to confirm, as I had heard nothing. The technician arrived late in the afternoon, worked on the washer for about thirty minutes and told me that the electronic board is not working and that another will be ordered. It may take up to ten days to arrive. I am very disappointed in all of this. I dont know of any store that does not allow a customer to return defective merchandise.
