I have gone to this location for a few years. In March, I went in for my annual eye exam and new contacts. The contacts were never quite right, but I went ahead and used my 6-month supply. When I returned to reorder the lenses and see if I could get a new prescription, I was told that I would need to undergo a whole new eye exam because it had "almost" been six months since the previous exam. Thats very interesting considering that most insurance companies wont cover a patient for another exam until the 366th day after his/her last exam. I will be taking my business, which includes three other family members who wear glasses and contacts to a local provider. So, Im welcome to get my existing inaccurate prescription refilled for six months, or pay $160 out-of-pocket to have another exam and get the correct prescription. When I contacted Lenscrafters corporate via a "chat," I was told that each office differs with this policy. Seriously?

Lens Crafters in Town Square Wheaton is the ABSOLUTE WORSE place to buy glasses!! After purchasing my $470 glasses with ALL FANCY ANTI SCRATCH , ANTI-GLARE , Anti Smudge Coatings ( PLUS they used my EYE Med Benefits ) they were scratched about 2 months later. I went back to LC and spoke to some VERY RUDE and Unprofessional sales person who didnt take more than 2 seconds to help me ! She said that there is NOTHING they can do about my glasses and i have to purchase new lenses for the cost of $480 !!!!!!!! I was Horrified!!! Terrible service!! do not buy your glasses there!! go to Pearl Vision they provide superb service!! 00000000 star rating!!

I tried to order contact lenses, but I was told in addition to the cost of the contacts, Id have to pay $100+ for an eye exam I didnt need. My prescription has not changed in the past 10 years, but they want me to pay a doctor to tell me just that. I tried ordering thru 1-800-Contacts and this store had the nerve to decline my order b/c I had refused to pay the additional $100+. Some advice, when a customer calls in upset, the sales associate should not antagonize them over the phone. Thats what most people refer to as poor customer service. Youve lost my business and and any respect I had for your employees. Have a merry christmas.

why are there no minus options to review ? I have been a customer for several years and bought several pairs of glasses from here - but when I went to fix issues with my glasses this time, they did not even try to do anything to fix the issues? they said that because of the wear and tear the glasses cant be fixed. And yet - without any tools my friend was able to fix the glasses. I was indeed shocked to see that they made me wait - did nothing - and came back only to say nothing can be done. I am done with this store...not going back there again.

Worst customer service and RUDE!!! Pouring rain- no parking and was 8 min late and they cancelled my appointment while office was empty. Rather go to a real optometrist than be treated like that from a chain.
