I recently went in for my daughters eye exam. The eye doctor who was in that Sunday was great. He was kind and patient. The gentleman who assisted us with the glasses purchase was friendly and very helpful. Now the total for one pair of glasses with lenses and a second pair of replacement lenses for her current pair of frames was over $500.00. When my wife found out what the total was, she wanted to shop around. I called the store 5 minutes before closing but got no answer. The next morning I called asking to stop the order for glasses and was told the order was placed a short while before my call and they did not do refunds. Now the no refunds policy was not explained to me prior to the purchase nor it is not clearly posted anywhere in the store (I went back to check). It is printed on the receipt you get AFTER the purchase. Again, there was never any indication of this policy displayed in the store, I had not had it explained to me prior to the purchase nor was I advised of it during the purchase. I explained that I tried calling the store the previous night, before they could have placed the order but no one answered. She simply said they do not do refunds. She was blunt and seemed smug about providing this bit of unwanted news. I contacted Pearl Visions corporate customer service line and was advised this was a franchise and they could only send a request for the store to offer a courtesy refund this one time. Not surprising, the store declined to offer any refund. When the glasses and lenses did come in, I was not notified. I had to call the store. They said they called but the line was busy. I gave them my cell phone, any call I missed would have gone to voicemail, it would not have a busy signal. They either chose not leave a voicemail or they did not call. We could have gotten the glasses two days earlier if the store manager had simply left a message. A week after getting the glasses (a little over 2 weeks after the visit), I get the explanation of benefit from EyeMed, and according to the insurance, they overcharged me $170.00. As of this writing, the store would not discuss any refund. I have reached out to corporate again. Not sure if Ill ever see any money back. This is particularly bothersome as Pearl Vision and EyeMed are both owned by the same company, Luxottica. This has been the worst service I have received in any retail situation. Not only has Pearl Vision lost my business but that of my family as well as most of my friends and neighbors.

Multiple complications with wifes order. Two reps selling us on 2 opposing options with daughters order. My glasses come in with wrong frames (way huge) and bi-focal lenses placed way too high on lens. Of course they can re-do. No decent frames under $379 range, so they agree to use my old frames. I later remember that we did not speak of cost. When I inquired, they were going to charge me over $200 to put line bi-focal lenses into frames I purchased elsewhere-and thats after my insurance coverage! I cancelled that order immediately. Thats when they first mentioned that they will not provide a refund under any circumstances. Pearle Corporate will do nothing since this is a franchised store. I am now trapped into doing business here if I want my $325ish money put to use (thats the total of my first attempted order after insurance). They will only offer store credit. There is a sign to that effect (although its at the pick up counter-not in the waiting area or ordering area,...hmmm....). It is also stated clearly on the credit card slip that you sign (although I think most people look at the amount they are sighing for). Do you read all that other printing before signing? You better start! I would prefer to simply "review" businesses like this by simply taking my money elsewhere. They refuse to allow that more natural course of events. By refusing a refund and only allowing me a store credit, I must choose to throw away money or settle for doing business with them THIS TIME. Of course, I cannot afford to dismiss over $300, so I am going back to use my store credit. Will I ever return or say anything good about this business? No. I am not bashing with this post. I am relaying the simplest story of truth in hope that at least one of you who read it will go somewhere else. I hope I have helped you! UPDATE: Finally reached owner through Pearle Corporate on 6th or 7th attempt. Owner authorized a refund of my store credit balance, which was promptly processed by in store associates that afternoon.

Completely ridiculous. Bought a pair of Oakleys for $650 less than a year ago with a scratch warranty. Well, they are scratched. They want over $200 to repair, NOT replace as i was told. The woman i talked to on the phone gaurenteed me that i would walk out of the store with my current(scratched) pair so i could use them at work... Of course there is a completely different policy when i get to the store. Now they want to keep my pair and send them in and i wont get them back for several weeks. I need them for work, so that cant happen. Then the woman talked down to me because i dont have a backup pair... Sorry i dont have $650 to have a pair of glasses collecting dust somewhere. I will never do business with these crooks again, and i will be complaining to their corporate office.

These people are scammers. I am taking my business to Americas Best. It was obvious to me that they were playing roles and try to make you feel uncomfortable about not buying frames. We paid less than half at Americas best last year. Dont get suckered in, shop around, even if they try to humiliate you about not purchasing then and there. The oldest trick in the book.Im not saying go to ABs. Im saying theres way less expensive out there. I like my money too much to give it to these artists. If you like to waste your money, this is the place for you.

They are liars and crooks. Took a friend in who is disabled and cant walk. Got his eye examine and picked out his lenses. He gets payed once a month from disability. So I came in today to pay for them and they advertised 1/2 of today. They said they lost the info on what frames he picked. He would have to come in again. They werent going to give him the half price in other words. They lost me as well as a customer.

I went to this Pearle Vision because they take Eyemed insurance. I was completely satisfied with the exam. The doctor was professional and made me feel very comfortable. The store has a large selection of frames and staff was very helpful to me in finding a pair of frames to fit my big head. I was suprised that my glasses were completed so quickly. Thank You Pearle Vision!
