I went there yesterday hesitant about going back to a Walmart Vision Center, because I used to go to Rolling Meadows when I lived in Schaumburg, and they were not good at all. I was instantly welcomed by one of the ladies working in the front, and I believe her name was Lisa--if I remember correctly. So, lets call her Lisa, because thats probably her name. She took my right back and began the normal tests you do right away (Eye Puffer & the machine that focuses on the pupil). Shes a hilarious woman right from the start and made me feel right at home. Dr. Toseef Hasan is also flat out awesome. The Rolling Meadow Doctors never offered me additional services like the X-Ray for the back of my eye, nor pupil dilation to check for hidden conditions/diseases/tumors. I had so many questions, and he had so many answers. He told me I had a condition called Corneal Neovascularization, and then continued to tell me all about how to reverse it, gave me a better brand of contacts to wear, and gave me very specific and effective directions to lessen my irritation in my eyes. He didnt have to be so detailed, but chose to be detailed. I think hes that passionate about his job and helping others. After a few months of not knowing if my eyes were just having a phase, or I really couldnt wear contacts anymore, he really helped. My eyes already feel 90% better in just one night. Even after the visit was over and it was time to pay, I was very surprised that even with additional fees from the X-Ray I had done, it was only $103.00 without using my insurance. All of that for a low cost made me feel very relieved. Then, Lisa just kept everyone giggling and having fun, which is not how most doctor appointments end. If you cant afford much, but want an amazing experience getting your eyes looked at, go to this Vision Center. Dr. Toseef definitely changed my opinion about a Walmart Vision Centers. Everything was just so simple, clean cut details, and a highly professional staff that actually have personalities.

I went in there to order a prescription and asked specifically if they took my insurance in the beginning so I wouldnt be wasting my time. The woman (I wont say a name) said yes. So we went and sat down. She called my insurance agency to get the details and hung up and said everything was in order. I picked out a frame and got my measurements taken and she proceeded to type out the bill. At this point it had been 1 and a half hour and was growing impatient. I never had to wait this long at other vision care facilities. She called my insurance agency again for what i have no idea. Again there was a lot of waiting. Then hung up to tell me that they do not accept my insurance. imagine my anger when that was the first thing i asked upon entering. I told her exactly this and she said she had to call her home office and it will be up to few more hours. I was pissed. the whole thing could have been forgiven if the woman didnt have such a terrible attitude to me asking how much time itll take. She kept saying its not her fault and that im blaming her. When i never mentioned her and only asked my question. i dropped everything and left. never will i go here again.
