Approximately two months ago I discussed with a close friend of mine, who works in the field of education, the difficulty I was experiencing with eyestrain, reading and retention. He expressed his concerns to me and suggested that I schedule a vision evaluation with a professional well known for his success in treating vision issues. He recommended Todd Cohan, O.D. at Forsight Vision, LTD in Long Grove. I immediately contacted Forsight Vision and scheduled an evaluation. When I arrived for my appointment, my vision and the health of my eyes were thoroughly tested. Right off the bat, I noticed that the testing equipment was very high tech and unfamiliar to me. The assistant administering the examination explained to me that their office always kept up with advancements in technology and used state of the art equipment. That alone made me feel comfortable and confident I was receiving good care. The evaluation then continued with Dr. Cohan, who used additional methods to complete the thorough examination of my vision. He very clearly described to me in detail the cause of my vision issue including a course of action. The problem he described to me was the lack of proper eye teaming during reading. Evidently, my left eye was not coordinating with my right eye to converge on words while I was reading. Dr. Cohan’s recommendation was to implement vision therapy exercises. A few days later I met with Dr. Cohan to begin vision therapy. Dr. Cohan gave me an eye exercise to perform twice a day. At each of my following weekly sessions Dr. Cohan evaluated my progress and gave me an additional exercise. I was diligent with my exercises and began noticing an improvement with respect to decreasing eyestrain. Dr. Cohan said I was making tremendous progress and, I for one was excited to see such positive results especially with my reading. Now rather than weekly appointments, Dr. Cohan will reevaluate my vision on a monthly basis until I complete my vision therapy. I’m looking forward to my next evaluation. In addition to the eye teaming issue, Dr. Cohan’s examination uncovered another eye related problem that with the treatment he prescribed is almost completely resolved. I have been extremely impressed with the care I have received from Forsight Vision. Throughout the process, Dr. Cohan has shown great concern for my wellbeing and has always been generous with his time. The work I have put in has not been easy but Dr. Cohan has always been encouraging. The staff has been highly professional and extremely courteous. Without a doubt, I would recommend Forsight Vision to my family and friends.

I had such a great experience with Forsight Vision and Dr. Todd Cohan that I felt compelled to share it. I have been searching for an eye doctor for years, that could help me see better both with contacts and without, and until now, I hadnt found one that could help me. In fact, one doctor actually made my vision worse. Dr. Cohan found contacts that I can wear everyday, including to work which I havent been able to do in years. Im so happy I found Dr. Cohan again after being a patient when he first came out of school. Our son had vision problems and suffered from headaches and Dr. Cohan was able to relieve that with vision therapy, where other doctors wanted to just put him in bi-focals at age 9! I am confident in the care we receive from both Dr. Cohan and Dr. Pott - they keep current with new technologies and equipment. Everyone on staff is professional, courteous and personable and makes the entire experience a pleasure!

My whole family loves going to Foresight Vision. Dr. Cohen and team do a great job taking care of my vision issues. He also is great with my kids and they really like going to his office. As someone that has been wearing glasses almost my whole life, I do appreciate the quality of the glasses and lenses sold here also. This is a much better choice for your glasses than the low end stuff you get at strip mall chain. (Plus you get a great doctor.)
