Avoid on Black Friday. Waited an hour and a half in line, and the line only moved up one tenth of the way to the cashiers just to find out management did a terrible job designating different lines. Apparently that was the line for people checking out with TVs, but none of the employees knew and several employees talked to us (advertising their credit card, offering to find products, etc.) Definitely not the employees fault, I praise the employee for working on Thanksgiving, but management and corporate dropped the ball. We werent the only ones confused by the lines, half the people in our line didnt have TVs, some customers got so angry at waiting they left. Not good for business. The people behind me who I made friends with claimed they would never go to Best Buy again regardless of the day of year. They almost left too. Terrible experience. Ive been a Black Friday shopper for a decade+, I understand there will be long lines, its Black Friday/Thanksgiving. But it was poorly organized this year. Previous years werent all that bad, Ive been there every year, but this year . . .

I find that other than blank CDs and a few specials here and there, their prices are much higher than other stores. A while back I bought a 5mp Canon for $300, whereas I found the 8mp Canon elsewhere for $190. Feature-wise, the 8mp was far better, at far less cost. Ive been shopping for TVs and they only carry mainstream models (meaning low-to-mid level quality/features) priced far more than they are worth. Best Buy is good for minor supplies, DVD-Rs, Music CDs (Ive heard, though online stores are much better if you buy several at a time) and possibly ink, but be very wary of their prices in all other departments. EDIT: This is no longer true. they have stopped carrying quality DVDR and now only stock Memorex and Verbatim. Both brands have left me with roughly 30% failures to burn. Computer Service at Best Buy has been a joke among the technically savvy for many years now, and they consistently succeed in justifying the laughs. Because of the change in DVDR stock, I have lost all interest in ever stepping foot in this store again.

Yesterday I went in to get on a new mobile plan for sole purpose of using the phone as a hot spot for my laptop for my at home work. I asked the rep (Terry) multiple questions about download speed using hot spot, how well it worked for iPad, had he ever used hot spot for laptop, etc. There was absolutely no chance he didnt understand the reason I was changing plans. He recommended Sprint unlimited data. BUT...OOPS he failed to once mention that hotspot is an add on!!!! Have to pay an additional monthly fee & its NOT UNLIMITED! I will heading back tonight - they can take the new phone, plan & provider and...well you know where Im going here! THANKS TERRY! (NOT!) UPDATE - 3 weeks later I am still battling with Sprint for the money I paid for the phone! Terry, you have created more work and headaches for me than any other purchase I have made in my entire life! If I could give this place negative stars I would. I am still fuming that one persons incompetence has become my burden.

I had a minor problem with iTunes and my MacBook Pro and Geek Squad fixed me right up. The staff were efficient, friendly and very well organized and quickly got my problem diagnosed. The Apple Solutions Consultant Clarence Law III was especially helpful doing this. He was literally on his way out and stopped to help me with my problem. His expertise was evident as he very quickly solved the issue and showed me the solution. The staff further enhanced the experience by connecting my laptop to their ethernet so my download would be completed. The whole experience was fast, and left me with exactly what I needed. The Geek Squad member even tore up the work order I filled out and left me with no charge. I understand this is a rare event but I really appreciate the dedication of a store to a customer who recently bought a computer from them. I would definitely use Geek Squad and shop at Best Buy again. Thanks again!

This place is a joke. Wanted to send my laptop out to get screen fixed and geek squad member said it would be about a $120 fix. Send it out and paid the fee to do so and after talking with the repair headquarters they say its a $400 fix. I said no and ordered it back thinking I would get the $36 I spent to have it sent out. I get to geek squad to pick it up and nicely explained what happened and the guy at the desk was completely rude. Said there was no way we could give the $36 back. I asked for the manager and he was worse. We asked if we could at least use the $36 into buying a new laptop and he completely refused and was completely rude and thoughtless to my family and I. These people are selfish. I will never go back to this Best Buy again and I hope no one else does as well. Lucky if I ever go to a Best Buy again.

Best But very recently changed to an appointment system for computer help and repairs. BOOOOOO! So much for the convenience of computer help WHEN YOU NEED IT. Now you can schedule an appointment and wait days until their available times match up with your available times. Meanwhile, Im sure they are helping less people with this system than with being able to go and get help immediately when problems arise. The convenience of being able to go get help around other things that need to be done is now gone. Terrible, terrible, terrible. Id rather wait in a line than wait days to get an appointment time that works for me (and be without a computer for the same number of days). For my next computer, think it will be Best to Buy elsewhere.

Ive been shopping at Best Buy for years, at various locations. This one, like the others, has courteous, helpful associates who go out of their way to satisfy my inquiries and requests. Most recently, they exchanged an iPad 3 for me even though it was a few days past the 30 Day Return Policy window. The manager on duty was extremely helpful and the saleslady who waited on us was pleasant and professional and very well trained and accommodating to our needs and requests. Due to our extremely satisfying experiences with Best Buy over the years of our doing business with them, we not only guarantee our loyalty as customers, but promise to promote our customer satisfaction to those we know will be doing business with Best Buy!

They have a lot of very incompetent people working at this store, unfortunately it seems most of them work in the Geek Squad department. Bad customer service countless times that Ive had to deal with them. Theyre great when theyre trying to sell you something, after that forget it. One guy at the Geek Squad actually said to me when I called asking about a product I just purchased and asked to talk to someone in sales that knows about the item, because he didnt, that "they are busy helping customers so unless its important he cant transfer me." I told him that I was still within my 15 days and if I dont talk to someone Ill just RETURN it. Still didnt transfer me. Ridiculous.
