Customer NO Service-I remember my grandparents and parents buying Lazy Boy furniture, so when we had our first child 22 years ago, we went to Lazy Boy in Orange Park Florida. I have bought furniture in other Lazy Boy locations throughout the years. I needed a new chair and was starting my research to replace all our family room furniture. I found the chair I wanted, ordered it and everything was fine until it came time for delivery. Now keep in mind that I asked everyone I spoke with to please call my cell, as our house phone is primarily for a fax machine. To make a long story short, I missed the first opportunity for delivery (they only come to Vero Beach every other Saturday) because who ever made the phone calls didnt read the paper work and didnt call my cell phone. So, I schedule for the next delivery date, 2 weeks later. However, they didnt call the right number either, so I did not have the opportunity to have someone available to meet them. I tried to re-schedule, but since they wont work with me (even after waiting 6 weeks to have 1 chair made and the 4 weeks to get it delivered) I had to schedule it for 4 more weeks outs. I got so frustrated I said I would come to the store and pick it up. I asked them to waive the $80 delivery charge since they would not be delivering and I would need to get a truck and take 2 hours to drive to Jensen Beach and back. But they said it cost them $40 to get it from Sunrise to their store and there was nothing they could do to help me. We own a window treatment business in Vero Beach. When my clients ask where to go for furniture and when I am shopping for our next furniture, I will tell them I have had good luck with Lazy Boy quality, but dont go to the Jensen Beach location. Theyll take your order, but they wont deliver!
