We love this place. We have 3 dogs, 3 cats and a bunny so food, litter and bedding supply costs are always a concern. We live in Central Phoenix and drive out to shop here for several reasons. a) We save hundreds by going here instead of Petsmart. 2) We love the option of BULK, FRESH bunny food, Timothy hay bales and assorted litter. 3) For every type of animal there is every type of product that you may need. 4) The staff is so helpful and knowledgeable. 5) The kids love to look at all of the farm animal supplies. 6) We all look forward to driving into their back lot, so our one little bale of hay or bulk supplies can be loaded. The back lot is set up like an ol time ranch and store fronts, including turkeys, chickens, ducks etc roaming around.

What to say about these lovely people.... they are just wonderful! Im a crazy chicken lady and they just get it. They always take my monster child in stride too, since its hard work for her to just not touch everything. Even the guys that work the back are just wonderful too, showing her the turkey and other chickens on the property while we load up my car. Not to mention, they seriously know their stuff and always point me in the right direction. I pass by a bunch of feed stores all day in my normal routine but we only stop off at the ranchman.

My fiance and I went in for cat food, and we brought our new/used dog with us. The woman behind the counter, whos name we didnt get, came over and we talked about our dog, and she showed us different options for an ear problem our dog has. She also was very helpful and knowledgeable with the other products in the store. We bought a big bag of Natures Balance cat food. After we left, we checked the price at Petsmart. It was $3 more at Petsmart. Great prices and great service over at Western Ranchman. We will be back!

YES! GO HERE!!! If you need feed for just about any animal, or want to pick up some excellent chicks, go here. Great prices on everything. And most importantly, the most helpful people around. We are in there at least once a week and inundate them with questions (we are new to backyard chickens) and they are always incredibly patient with us and wont hesitate to help in any way they can. Seriously, These people are fantastic.

Staff is very friendly. They know a lot about their animals and products and dont act like theyre better than you if you dont know something, which happens at pretty much every other feed store. I have had a bad experience here though, but that was with picking out a chick. I got two that were supposed to be wyandottes but very shortly after, once they got a few feathers, I realized that they were black sex links. :/

They have just about everything you would ever need for your dogs; 7in1 shots, flea and tick treatments, dewormer, high quality dog food (which I only buy here). They also carry a wide array of horse equipment and food (which I know little of) and the cutest little chicks (seasonal I think). And lots of other stuff you might need for any other kind of animal.

Part of what I think of as the "old AZ", small friendly family owned with better quality (more items made in USA) than Walmart but to be expected slighly higher prices. Generally no line, which makes up for their old time writing out of invoice for you purchase. Consider shopping their for the more pleasant experience.

Very professional, helpful, knowledgeable, thoughtful, honest and thorough. They load your items and have a great assortment of supplies and the entire staff is very kind and friendly. I wont go anywhere else. Also, if you need something, you can ask and they will see what they can do to bring it in, I love them.

I have been here a few times now and the service cant be beat. I bought a slow feed dog bowl for 4.50 and later that day seen the same exact bowl and brand at another pet supply store for 16.00 dollars. Very helpful when I was switching my dogs food. I have yet to find a better place for dog treats as well.

We have been going here for years. The only place where I go to get dog food. Always friendly. At Christmas they have complimentary homemade chocolate bark ( milk & dark chocolate) for us humans. Support your local business.

Very nice selection of tack and feed. Nice selection of live chicks. Staff friendly. Can be a dollar or two higher on hay than nearby stores, but their good customer service makes it worth it.
