I have always had a good experience until recently. The only fish I have ever purchased have been from this Petco location. And now, my fish all have Camallanus Worms, a deadly, difficult to treat, parasite. The only POSSIBLE way for a fish to get these parasites are from other fish, or contaminated water. I told all of this to an employee, and this person looked at me like I was an idiot, said that they had NEVER heard of this parasite, or the medicine that is used to treat the fish, and that they had never ever seen any symptoms I was describing in their fish. And even asked me if it could have developed from stress or not cleaning the tank properly. (Im sorry, do you know how parasites work?? THEY DONT JUST APPEAR!) I had explained that it takes 6-12 weeks to develop and until you physically see the worms protruding from the fishs anus, you wont have a clue that you have them, and said that they should seriously examine their fish for a few weeks, that it is highly contagious and if my fish came from their store, they were either purchased infected, or the Mesa water supply is infested with Camallanus worms. And the employee had the AUDACITY to say "Well that is more likely than our fish being infected." (Obviously the store is located in Mesa, so if the Mesa water supply is infested, all your water would be infested, too.) I am very distraught by the lack of professionalism and responsibility taken by the employee, and I hope management reads this and quarantines and examines the fish before sending another bomb home with someone. One infected fish can kill an entire persons collection of fish. In multiple tanks. The worms can be spread just from going one tank to another with a single net. It is so difficult to treat and the treatment itself could kill off my entire tank, including the 8 babies my Dalmation Molly had. I will never be purchasing fish from here again, I will be going to local breeders or small fish stores. Chain stores like this do not care about the health of their animals or their customers.

I took my dog to this location to get groomed on Tuesday 3/8/16. While she was there some how she got scratched all down her back and something happened to her lower back that has put her in an extreme amount of pain. She is not an old dog she is only 2 years old so its not old age that caused the injury. I then took her to the vet a few days later to see if they could tell me anything more. The vet prescribed her some pain medication and sedatives to keep her from being rambunctious so that she could heal properly. I then went back to the Petco to ask simply for them to refund my grooming charge and pay the vet bill. Dan, the manager on duty then tried to blame me for my dogs injuries and refused to pay the vet bill. I then asked for contact information for his supervisor he then proceeded to call the police and told them I had been harassing them all day and had been calling them yelling at them to pay my vet bill which was not the case I was calm and reasonable the entire time please stay away from this Petco I am filing a complaint with the BBB against this location today so please for your sake and your pet stay away from this location

I went to pick up prescription dog food, which they were out of. They kindly offered to order it for me & have it delivered. 9- 10 days later we are wondering where the food is- no delivery. After contacting the website about the order, turns out the prescription we gave them was not sufficient and the dog food was not even scheduled for delivery. Apparently, this was because the person who ordered it did it incorrectly. Frustrating- now we still have to go find the food :(

I recently went to the vet clinic to get my kitten his vaccinations. I had him in the kennel and I did not like how one of the vets grabbed him out of his kennel. She was way too rough and grabbed him by his neck. I insisted to help but she ignored me and grabbed him out the worst way possible. The more aggressive she was, the more he did not want to come out. Never again.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!!! I HAVE A VERY BUSY SCHEDULE AND DONT NORMALLY HAVE A LOT OF OPPORTUNITY TO MAKE APPOINTMENTS BECAUSE MY SCHEDULE VARIES HOUR BY HOUR AND EVERY TIME I CALL DOESNT MATTER WHO I TALK TO THEY DO WHAT THEY CAN TO GET MY DOGS IN. TOP IT OFF MY DOGS ARE ALWAYS HAPPY TO GO THERE THIS PLACE IS GREAT!!!

Employees were nowhere to be found, needed help with a dog crate, had to get it off the shelf by myself and that was extremely difficult since I am handicapped. Will only go there for grooming now, I buy everything else I need elsewhere now!

They need to check for dead fish, and treat the water for Ick and other diseases often in the feeder fish tank! Tired of coming home and finding out my tank is now contaminated with Ick multiple times from the feeder fish!
