Doesnt even deserve the one star you have to give to write a review! Had the worst experience last night during my private training session with Di. We were at PETsMART in Riverdale, you know cuz theres alot of other dogs and people there, to try to get her to let strangers pet her. Well my trainer, who by the way was not sporting her normal company logo jacket, politely went up to some girls who work there and asked them if they would mind approaching us and asking to pet Di. What happened next blows my mind. The one girl walked away as she whispered "nows your chance" to the other girl, and the girl left standing who I saw training some dogs earlier proceeded to lecture my trainer. She said it was a conflict of interest and as a professional courtesy she would appreciate if we didnt train in the store. She totally looked like she was going to cry and then proceeded to tell my trainer that she didnt want to be rude but customers were asking if they were holding a class and my trainer was making them look bad. First of all PETsMART, where on your doors does it say pets welcome, trainers not? Second, miss PETsMART trainer, of course my trainer made you look bad. She trains for a living, champion sporting dogs and does it out of her own business..... She doesnt train dogs to sit at PETsMART! Next instead of asking us, who had a perfectly well behaved dog to leave, maybe you should have focused on getting business from the dog that was basically choking itself trying to eat all the other dogs in the store. Needless to say we left and went to Home Depot, where all of the associates were more than happy to help and even had treats! I usually take Di to PETsMART to socialize her on a regular basis, or to get her nails done and a cute chalk tattoo. Then I spend at least $100 on toys to reward her. My business will now be moved to Petco, where Im sure they will appreciate the fact that I use my hard earned money in their establishment on my spoiled pooch. Shame on you PETsMART!

I love the store its self! Very clean and Tidy. But we took our Lab/Newfoundland there to be groomed, and we were not happy with the services we received. The ladys in the grooming area were very rude, they were kind of snappy with us when we were asking questions about what they will be doing and everything we wanted done. Hes a big dog, and hes only 11 months old, so hes going to be a little bit more hyper of course, and the lady seemed really annoyed with him. They had him for 2 hours, we went to get him, and he couldnt wait to get out of there, he seemed as if he was scared, we got him home and fur just kept coming off of him like he hadnt even had a brushing at all. With that being the whole reason we took him in, we were upset. My husband called the store the next day and talked to the manager, she was very kinda and apologized for what had happened and offered to have us bring him back in that day and they would do it again for free. We then had him there for another 2 hours, and hes still shedding really bad! So with our experience there we will no longer be taking any of our pets into this location. We will give 12th street a try next time. I do think this stores customer service needs to be bumped up a little, there are a lot of rude employees there.

I will never shop or bring my dogs here again! I brought my dogs in for a groom. I brought them in at 2:30p. I did not get a call until 7:15p. The groomer on the phone told me my dog had really bad bloody diareah and that I needed to come in. Ive had my dog for 9 years he has never had bloody diareah. When I got there a manager was already waiting for me. In the almost 5 hours they had my dog the only thing that had been done was give him a bath. I asked what was going on and why if there was a problem why it took so long to contact me. All vets except emergency was closed now at this time. The only answer I got with an attitude by the way was that nothing they did could cause bloody diareah. As soon as my dog seen me he was a lot better still shaking but better. The groomer then told me that I could leave now and that she would be done in a half hour. I said I am not leaving him. My dog kept eye contact with the me the entire time. She cut him while I was sitting right there. Then charged me over $120.00 I had never been charged more then $70-$80. I dont know what happened but something happened to my dog on top of that I got charged more then I ever have. Please do not bring your loved pets here!

I am a very active pet-parent. I love my boys! They are a big part of my life- and my best friends! When we got Chester we went to petco for puppy class. We hated the experience and never even finished the class, instead I trained him at home. When we got Murphy I began looking around for a trainer and class that would socialize him in and stay positive. I went to layton, ogden, and even talked to several private trainers. Im so glad we picked this petsmart. The trainer (destiny) is literally the best. She is so positive and great with both my dogs. The puppy class we took was such a positive experience that we signed both dogs up for intermediate and advanced! I highly highly recomend the dog classes here. Make sure you ask for Destiny. She will really help your dog be social, and trains in a safe and positive way that builds the bond between you and your dog. Not only that but shes always available for doggy tips. When my puppers paws were getting rough from the snow/ice melt, she recomended a great puppy paw salve that was super cheap. We will stay loyal customers as long as Destiny is a trainer there!

Came here a few different times and got really bad customer service every time. First off they have no clue what they are talking about when it comes to bearded dragons. Had to get all info off line before i got my dragons. I tryed to get crikets from them a few different times and no one ever wanted to help me with them. One employee even called another person to come help us cus she didnt want to deal with the crikets. That employee never came. Stood there for 15 mins waiting. My sone wanter to get a leopard geko from them he was really excited. We had trouble finding a sails employee. When we did they werent doing anything at the time just standing around. When we asked for help they said they would be there in a min. 30 mins later we couldnt find the employee and they never came to help or send someone to help. That was 2 days ago and i will never go back to the store for anything ever again.if i could give a negative star i would.

We came to this petsmart today for an appointment we made last week to get our dogs groomed nothing said about getting a furminator. We drove past the one in ogden because we have had a better experience with the groomers here. When we arrived we were told that they could not give our dogs a bath today because we were scheduled for a furminator. The employee seemed to not care at all about the mix up and bother did the manager she offered a slight discount and a reschedule but we already drove to Riverdale and had plans in the area. Now we have to drive all the way home to drop our dogs off and drive all the way back to Riverdale because they are incompetent. Thanks for nothing you have lost our business.
