Can I just say, I love Idlewire!!! My 2 labs, ages 11 and 7, had never been to a groomer. My son always bathed them for me. When he moved, I waited several months and then realized I needed to find a groomer. They were both in dire need of grooming. I was unable to get them into the tub because they both hate water (go figure), and weight 100 pounds and 75 pounds. Now, I will say, these are my "kids," and the first time I took them I was like a new mother leaving her baby at daycare for the first time!! Idlewire had them most of the day (while I sat home and fretted), and when I picked them up, they were so beautifully groomed, nails cut, ears clean...everything. And, they were happy and feeling so good. I just picked them up from their second grooming, and they loved it. I did not worry so much this time. They are shiny and the shedding is minimal. I am grooming them every 4 weeks now, because they are so reasonably priced I can afford it. I would highly recommend Idlewire for anyone needing pet care. The people seem to love the dogs and take their time with them. Thank you, Idlewire. 06/29/17 - Must add to the above post. My lab, Wilson, has been going on Idlewires mountain hikes every Wednesday for several months! He loves it so much. He is always so excited when Kathy, Derek, or Caitlin pick him up. It has been great for his socialization skills, and he is even going in the water!!! Also, they stock very high quality food, snacks, and supplements! I havent needed to board my dogs or use their Doggie Daycare program, but I am confident that these services are as wonderful as everything else they do.

They have awful customer service when it comes to ordering dog food and holding it for the customer that ordered it. Let me take you back 6 years ago when I got my 1st giant breed dog. I found that they could order the specific puppy food I wanted. Each time I ordered it the person in charge of ordering was never given the message to order my food. Which in turn constantly had me driving 30 miles to the closest location that did carry the puppy food So I decided to give them another chance given it had been 6 years since the previous issue so now 2017 I called to order a bag of the same puppy food. 1 week later I called to see when my order would be in. I was informed yet again that the person in charge of ordering did not get informed of my order so I waited and requested 2 bags. The 2 bags came in I purchased 1 and was told they would hold the 2nd. When I went to get the 2nd bag I was told that it was sold to someone else 6 days prior to me coming in for it. My 1st question why did they not already order a replacement bag when mine was sold? 2nd how is the person that purchased my food going to feel when they come in for another bag to find out its actually special order? It seems to me that as far as ordering things, keeping their word and communication is not something they are to uphold as a business. I am greatly disappointed and would have thought $200 a month in just dog food sales would have been good for business...

23 Feb: Very expensive. Customer service is poor. They act like its a privilege to bring your pet into their presence. "If it pleases the proprietor, may I please let my canine enter?" ick. Not my scene. We have since returned to taking our dog to LaundroMutt on 36th. The gals there are much sweeter. UPDATE 25 Feb: This is not because of her shots. Shes current. LaundroMutt has the same requirement as does everyone else weve used to groom Lucy. Very haughty atmosphere there at Idlewire. I dont care for that scene. The grooming service you provide was great. But if it comes with subpar customer service, I go elsewhere- there are dozens of options in this area; Id rather go where I feel like I am a customer and not an inconvenience to Idlewires front counter.

This place is wonderful! My dogs get a little stressed when they are boarded and they handle it well. I like having the option of extra play and walks. And a walk only costs $10! I have looked at dog walking services and they were more in the $30 range. Coupled with "extra play time" at $4 I dont end up spending too much money and I dont come home from a trip with a couple of WIRED dogs. The only problem I have is a tiny one - I dont like how they make you take off your collar and leash before boarding. They put on one of the slip collars and my dogs tend to pull so much that they choke themselves on it. I also just dont like fussing with their collars in the store.

They have always taken such great care of my dogs! When my sister passed away we boarded her dog so we could take the time to get things in order, not only were they super compassionate and went the extra mile to help reduce the stress of our sweet furbaby they groomed her and had her ready for us and she was happy. To me that was priceless! I use her now for a little lab I have and I love how they offer extra play times and walks. The report card is great so you know how they do. I would never go anywhere else, the amount of care and compassion shown was above and beyond any expectation of mine. I think they are the best place to board and groom your furbabies!

We have been taking our two blond cocker spaniels to Idlewire to be groomed for three years now. They do exceptional work and it is obvious they truly love animals. Contrary to a previous post Abbey and Riley have never been cut. Every other Saturday morning when we say the word "groomer" they dash to the door. In addition, we have utilized them for boarding as well and were very confident they will be well cared for. We highly recommend Idlewire. They are clean, professional, friendly, and very consciencious. Its comforting to have a place to take our dogs and be confident they are in good hands.

We just love Idlewire! We have brought our pets here (dogs and our cat) for grooming and boarding for years, and have always had a wonderful experience. You can choose all kinds of "extras" if your dog is being boarded, like play time, neighborhood walks, or hiking (which our dog ADORES). The people who work there are kind, friendly, and obviously love animals, which is so great to see. It makes leaving our pets home a little easier when we know they are well cared for at Idlewire.

We came to the lake in this area and they didnt allow dogs so I searched for a dog place that will watch it dog while we went to the lake since we drove a couple hours away, Idlewile was able to accept my 68lb husky/malamute same day and receive great reports about him. He showed no bad behavior but sedan exhausted from playing with other dogs. Love u guys and tyvm for taking care of our precious dog!
