Stanton Optical is nothing more than a complete disappointment. The customer service is terrible, eye lenses and glasses are extremely poor quality and their business practices are horrendous. If I could, I would rate this business a 0/5 stars. I went to the store nearly two months ago to simply have the lenses replaced in my Ray-Ban eyeglasses. When I went in to the store to pick up my glasses on my "promise date", they told me that the glasses had not yet arrived at the store and that they would give me a call when they arrived within the next couple of days. I waited by the phone for about a week with no response until I called the store myself to figure out where my glasses were. They then told me that they did not know what happened with the shipment and that they had lost my expensive pair of glasses. They then told me that I could come pick out any two pair that I wanted in order to replace the lost pair. This is when I noticed that the majority of the eye glasses in the store are extremely cheap, poor quality and that they had an extremely limited variety of options. It turned out that they dont even carry the Ray-Ban brand to replace my lost pair. I had to then had to settle for two pairs of extremely poor quality glasses to replace my initially expensive eye glasses and wait again weeks for the new glasses to arrive with my prescription. After being told that my order would be rush-delivered and that they would be completed and ready for pick up within a week, I then had to wait another 2 weeks for my glasses to finally arrive. Not once throughout this entire two month process did I ever receive a call from the store informing me of my order. I called on multiple occasions and was put on hold for long periods of time, to realize that they had totally forgotten that I was put on hold. When my glasses finally did arrive, they didnt even call me to inform me of their arrival. I had to call and insist that they should have already been delivered. Not only were the delivery and business practices horrendous, the staff was completely unprofessional and unhelpful. It seemed as if they had no training what-so-ever on how to provide a service for their patients, proper phone etiquette or how to conduct themselves in a business setting. I am completely disgusted with this company and advise everyone to stay away.

We should have looked the 3/3 horrible reviews before going there. Wed rate it 0/5 stars as well if possible. Its pretty much bait and switch. The special offer glasses bring you in, and then you end up spending an enormous amount. I never bothered to take them up on the 20% discount for glasses for me, after the initial fiasco with our sons order (as our last order with Wal-Mart was MUCH better). While we were ordering, we heard another customer call in, getting the runaround, of "We called you and left a message 2 weeks ago that your glasses were in," and we could tell the lady had never gotten a phone call. But they try to push the blame on you with the way they say it. So then, after we picked up our sons 2 pairs, as he got one pair free with a pair of expensive prescription sunglasses, the eyeglasses were blurry, and no matter how he tried to clean them, the lenses were smudgy (just like on the "Call Kurtis"--Sacramento, channel 13 news segment about the blurry Stanton Optical lense story, which came out a couple months after we got them). They even had to redo one of the lenses of the regular glasses, as one was curved differently and bulging out of the frames. Our latest fiasco was that he had scratched his lenses, and was told it would take 3 weeks (!) to order a lense. A Month later we called, and were told it would be a few more days. Yet one more month later, I called expressing anger, as we still hadn’t heard anything; and that we wouldn’t be using them again, as the CSR said, we called you 20 days ago, and the number was disconnected, which is bogus, as he looked me up under our real phone number, and then he read off an incorrect number that some incompetent person supposedly called. Their ineptitude is astounding. You would think someone would double check, and/or send a letter, if something had been sitting there that long. My son has been advertising Stantons ineptitude by wearing his prescription sunglasses for 2 months.

I keep seeing awful reviews and I cant personally understand why that is as I have had only great service here. I just ordered glasses Saturday so I guess I will knock on wood that there are no complications with that aspect; however, to this point, my experiences have been satisfactory. I was very excited that I called Saturday about scheduling an eye exam and they got me in the same day. I arrived at 2:20 for my 2:30 appointment and was greeted immediately. I walked to the back area where the exam was to be given. The gal at the counter was friendly and got me signed in right away. Next, another woman took me into the room for the eye pressure test and to obtain the prescription from my current pair of glasses. Just a few minutes later, I was seen by the Dr. he was friendly, knowledgeable, and seemed to genuinely care about my well being. Maybe 15 minutes after all of this, he walked me to the front and told me I could look around and someone would help me purchase glasses with the new prescription. I found 4 :o! I told the woman helping me that I didnt know if I could afford all four. She assisted me in making sure I got their best deal. I was able to purchase 4 pairs of glasses for less than $800 total and I didnt have to compromise any special coatings. I need them all! LOL. I usually spend $400-$600 on one pair. I am so excited and fingers crossed, my glasses should be here within two weeks. I was even told I will get a text message when they are ready. Im impressed!

Very good customer service, but quality is poor to say the least. 1st they draw you in with buy one get one free deal and spend $78, but after you finish paying you walk out having paid over $250 because the selection of frames they have for $78 is garbage so you have to spend more and now they charge you for the lens, tinting, etc. So instead of paying $78, I ended up with crap quality glasses where I ended up paying $125 a pair for 4 pairs of glasses. AND THE QUALITY IS LESS THEN WALMART!! BUT THE HORROR STARTS THERE.. now you have to wait 14 days for them to ship to you and I dont live close. 3 Pairs came 1.5 weeks later and 1 pair was due today and no one called me to tell me its going to be late. I had to call to find out that (3RD WEEK NOW) they still had not shipped my order till today and "suppose" to arrive tomorrow. I could have gone to walmart, paid the same or less FOR NAME BETTER QUALITY GLASSES and had my glasses within several days... I know I was a previous customer of walmart optical. The eye doctor they have working for them is exceptional... the guy is thorough to say the least and the people working there are very nice, so its a great place to get your eyes checked, but in the future Ill just get my prescription, pay for the eye exam, walk out, and go elsewhere for my glasses. RUN, RUN AWAY!!! DONT FALL FOR THEIR DUMB ADVERTISING!!
