Two stars b/c in general its a Petco and they have had things Ive needed in the past. I went in a few weeks ago (end of August) for a thunder shirt. I walked in and two associates were in the front talking. I stopped to ask where to gets the thunder shirt and was ignored for a few minutes then when I asked I was told "I think they are in aisle x" with a point towards the other side of the store. I guess I have been spoiled by having other stores with a "walk you to it policy". I went in search of them to no avail. I stood at the end of the aisle to get help two associates walked past not making eye contact or stopping when I said "excuse me". Finally I got one of them and was told "oh we had a rush on those for July 4 so we are out". More than a month later?! So I ordered them online and went today to return the one I didnt want (since I couldnt size it in the store I got two sizes just in case). I just spent 10 minutes with an associate who didnt know how to do the return and another associate she asked for help telling her to get someone else while he started checking out everyone behind me. I will go to PetSmart to avoid this place if at all possible.

This petco Is the Only petco i wood ever bye a ferret from. I cant rember the ladys name but ill just call her the ferret lady. she really takes care and loves the little guys. She dose not pertend to know what she is talking about, she really does have life experience.This makes it so much better for the new owners to love, care and enjoy them long-term. I recently adopted a baby boy who she named beastie. We call him kovu now but he is shuch a great addition to our 3 ferrets and is now completely potty trained. I wood not recommend every byeing from the draper store after adoptting kovu we decided to get one more and this petco was out of them the experience was not good and we ended up having to take the ferret back the next day sad knowing the issues the ferret i could not chance my other ferrets getting what this little guy had and with them knowing the problems the ferret had they still put him back with the other ferrets for sell befor i ever left the store. i was completely shoked. i know the ferret lady at this store wood never sell ,let alone allow her ferrets to be so poorly taking care of.

Humidity gauges on all the tropical animal enclosures were at 50% humidity or below, (an azure dart frog was at 30%) placing them near the Desert climate region indicated on the gauges themselves. This is a regular occurrence, as I visit the store often. Easy to say, this kind of neglect is unfair and cruel to the animals living within, as each is dependent on a sustainably warm, moist, tropic environment. Parasitic mites are also a problem in many of their habitats. This can easily be solved with a simple commercial mite spray, probably sold in store. Yet as evidenced by the stores apparent lack of interest in even simple climate control (were talking a few sprits from a water bottle each hour) I assume I might be asking too much already. Its just odd that people who willingly enter a profession dedicated to the safety, care, happiness and comfort of animals, instead choose to be complacent in even the simplest tasks. I hope it changes. Until then, good luck to death row.

Whats the point of having a store if no ones going to be working there to sell people things? I went at 1 pm on a Saturday and as far as I could tell there was just one checker working there and a manager hiding in the back somewhere. I wanted to buy some fish for my pond, had to awkwardly cut in line and wait for the checker to finish checking someone out to ask for help, he asked for assistance to aquatics over the loudspeaker, then I waited for a long time with no one showing up. Well you missed out on a sale because youre too greedy to pay people to work at your store. Im sure youre trying to save money and run it bare-bones like Walmart.

Loved the dog grooming at this place. Always had great experience....UNTIL WE GOT KIERA! Her name is on the wall and the name tag! If you are helped by KIERA...RUN! Very impersonal, acts like she is afraid of the dogs. We never had any issues with any of our dogs, been going to this location for a while! She couldnt even approach one of our dogs, and the other one she was very rough with. So naturally our dog was restless and KIERA just seemed even meaner! At the end KIERA told us that if our dog acted like that again, they wouldnt be able to help us anymore!

I love to go to petco for their selection of products. However this review is for the grooming department. Absolutely horrible, they were so unorganized when dropping my dogs off that I had to fill out the dogs forms for a second time. I told them how to cut my dogs hard and they did nothing even close, my dogs look like shaved rats. They also hacked away at their finger nails and clipped past the nerves! They also must have been to rough while brushing their teeth, neither of my dogs will eat. I will never take my dogs there for grooming again.

I recently had a C-section and when I walked into the store, I asked a nice young man named Audun if he could help me carry a huge bag of dog food since I couldnt carry anything heavy. He did not hesitate to help me and grabbed a cart, showed me where the dog food that I was looking for was located, then he took it to the register, and helped me take it to my car. Im moving to Herriman pretty soon and this will definitely be the pet store that I will be shopping at from now on.

I have been taking my dog to the groomer at Petco for a number of years. In the last month I have attempted on 4 separate occasions to make a grooming appointment only to be told the grooming salon has closed early, or no one is available to make an appointment or they simply dont answer the phone. Absolutely horrible customer service lately. I should not have to beg to use your services. Ill be going elsewhere.

They are really nice, but are understaffed. They have a lot of knowledge, and have provided great information on how to take care of our pet. They took the time to explain everything to us. Overall it seemed like all the animals were happy, and their living conditions were clean, and professional.

Honestly I feel like most of the stuff here is over priced. Costco or Amazon have better pricing for comparable items. The aisles seem to be constantly filled with pallets waiting to be unloaded and needing to use a rewards card to get slightly better pricing on select items is annoying.

The wife and kid love this shop. Especially on Saturdays, when they bring in the pets from the shelter. Anytime we go near here, Ill let the kiddo go in and look at the fish, the cats, the birds, and the rodents. We tend to enjoy the lizards, frogs, and snakes together, though.
