Over the weekend my husband and I went to the Arizona Mills mall to do some shopping. While there, we stumbled upon the Animal Kingdom pet store. First thing, a french bulldog puppy caught our eye. My husband immediately fell in love. We had been searching for a french bulldog for quite some time, about 2 years. Its hard to find a legitimate french bulldog breeder here in Arizona because they are in such high demand, and also, because a lot of people are scammers. So it was like it was meant to be when we seen the adorable pup. Yes, Animal Kingdoms prices are at a premium, but with everything you get through adopting with them, its worth it. The dogs have has shots and vet visits previously, already been dewormed and neutered, and they come with a 2 to 5 yr health guarantee. The lady we worked with is named Tasheena, and she was absolutely amazing to work with! Tasheena is extremely knowledgeable about the breed and what to expect, but also, shes incredibly knowledgeable on the guarantees that Animal Kingdom offers. Im in sales myself, and its hard to find a knowledgeable and caring person that goes the extra mile to inform and educate their clients. I have to say, the girl knows her stuff from top to bottom and she spent quite a bit of time with us in the pet store. By the way, they may get their dogs from breeders, but they are not puppy mills. They are trusted breeders that are inspected regularly by the USDA. When you adopt from Animal Kingdom, they will give a whole packet of papers on your pup and everything on what has been done to them and what breeder they came from. I honestly wouldnt of spent as much money on the dog as I did if it was anyone else. Tasheena made us feel so at ease and informed. With all of that and the health guarantees and being in love with pup, we adopted him on the spot. That day we had previously been shopping for new bed sets, so we werent quite sure how to carry everything along with dog food, puppy supplies, and our french bulldog that Tasheena insisted on helping us with the stuff to our car. Our car was clear on the other side of the mall, keep in mind!. I was amazed, the girl carried a huge bag of dog food for us and a bed set while my husband got to carry our new puppy. Ive never met anyone like her that goes above and beyond as much as she did. Keep in mind, my husband and myself are both in the sales industry, so we know how hard it is to find quality people like her. With her incredible customer service, I thought she for sure must of been the manager at the store. Shes just an associate, but being a sales manager myself, I say keep this girl in mind for a promotion!!! She even called me today to follow up and see how things are going with the pup! Without a doubt, best customer service weve ever had. Were so happy with our new pup, hes a part of our family and has a forever home with us. I would recommend Animal Kingdom and Tasheena hands down. Dont just judge them on their prices, ask questions when youre there and find out more about them. Youll be surprised. Thanks guys!!! 5 Stars *****

This place rocks. I want to clear up some of the negative publicity listed below. These people are complaining about stuff that either isnt true (puppy mills), not the stores fault (high interest rates), or coincidental (dead hampster). My girlfriend and I visted the Arizona Mills location yesterday (Friday) about 4pm, just on a whim. We have two dogs at home, and have been talking about getting a 3rd dog, but werent going out specifically to buy. We saw an adorable four month old labradoodle for sale, at a discount. She was the cutest little thing! The store was pretty busy, but we asked an associate if we could mery the dog. Without hesitation he took us to a private room and brought the dog. The dog peed; which he promptly cleaned. I had seen these negative reviews before visiting the store, so I had lots of questions. He was very friendly and he provided tons of paperwork on the dogs background, the breeder, health & vet history, and anything else I asked about. Not once througu the entire process did he ever ask us to buy the dog, and once we were doing going over the dogs history, he left us alone to socialize with the dog. He came back to the room one time to provide additional info on the breeder, and to offer us an additional discount on the dog because it was already 4 months old. Again he did not ask us to buy though. We did end up deciding to buy the dog, which we were thrilled about. The dog is incredibly well socialized with other dogs and humans; something we struggled to do with other dogs that we rasied from 8 weeks. After deciding to purchase, the employee went over all the papework and warranty info very thoroughly. They do offer an extremely comprehensive dog warranty package for free with every dog sold and he explained all of those details. He also gave us a terrific deal on a new dog crate, 50% off some new food, and helped carry everything to the car. We felt the value for what we paid was extremely high, and overall we left the store feeling happy, as the proud owners of a happy, well-adjusted new dog. She gets along great with the dogs we already had at home as well. We have not taken her to the vet yet, but will this week. I will report back if there are major health concerns. She seems full of energy, eats food, drinks water, and passes waste correctly. I would definately buy another puppy from these people. *Edit 1* Our puppy was diagnosed with Giardia at our first vet visit. I assume this is pretty typical of pet-store dogs, and is hard for them to prevent. They paid for the initial vet exam and their contract states they will reimburse for any treatment costs as well. Will report back with any issues.

My friend and I had the worst experience at this pet store. We went in to see some cute puppies for fun. I noticed all of the strange pieces of paper with peek holes in them covering up some of the puppy kennels. I turned to one of the employees, a bald man with a beard, who soon went off on a disturbing political monologue about possibly being shut down by the City of Tempe. He started telling us about his 12-year-old autistic daughter, saying that if he were to get a dog from the pound it would likely be a pit-bull and if it hurt her he would "snap the dogs neck in half". Im not sure what his connections were when he started ranting off about other things like if his daughter were to be raped by the principal of her school and how important abortion clinics are, but both my friend and I were extremely uncomfortable. We stood there in awe while this went on for about ten minutes. Personally, my family has always rescued sweet, beautiful, and unique mixed breed dogs from county shelters and the Arizona Humane Society (if you go into these places you can see how badly so many dogs just want a second chance at a happy life). For this reason, I thought it was a cheap, low blow for this employee to be bashing shelters just to keep his own business from going under. It only made me feel stronger in my belief that we should look to dogs who need saving before we willingly give our money away to the capitalistic venture of puppy breeding. (By the way, out of the four dogs who we have adopted from shelters, three are retriever mixes and one is a collie...no pit-bulls and all have been beloved, gentle, calm members of our family!) We left feeling horribly creeped out and worse than ever...just the opposite of how one should feel after leaving a puppy store!
