I had never been to BJs prior to this experience. The initial experience was very nice, welcoming and the atmosphere was very motivated and energetic. The second time back the cashier was horrible. After walking through the store and being persuaded by the marketing vendors and being excited to use the manufacturers coupons coupled with store coupons for additional savings ... WELL! I get to the register and I am trying to be helpful and show her what coupons go with what product and then I am telling her about the savings that the vendor informed me of.. Her response... " I never heard of that" every coupon I handed her, she had something negative to say and at one point I purchased Lysol Wipes and just knew that I saw a coupon in the book. When I explained to her that I was looking through the book for the coupon.. Her response... " No need to do that the coupon is for Clorox wipes" Finally I just lost it because every thing I told her she acted like she did not want to honor the coupon.. Like it was coming out of her paycheck or there was an incentive not to save the customer money.. I told her "Listen every coupon I hand you, you have something negative to say.. You are supposed to be supportive of the customer saving a few dollars". I told her that she was the most negative experience I have had since I had entered the building... Her response... " No! I am not saying anything negative at all, I am going to honor the coupon. dont worry! Her whole attitude changed when I was obviously upset.. I was even more upset when I got home and had the time to look through the book and found a coupon for $1.50 off of the LYSOL Wipes.. I cant say that I wont visit BJs again because I love the store. I just will NEVER go to that cashier again... BJs overall is a very FRIENDLY and WELCOMING place to shop, Perhaps, this is why she sticks out like a sore thumb...

Ive gone to this BJs only for the price and because I have a membership however i dont feel i will renew it. You get checked at the door all the time and I usually dont have an issue with that. What I did not like last time was that the lady at the door tried to almost reach into my wifes Purse and I had to stop her right there like WTF? We purchased two freaking items, literally both items are right in there on the cart 1 Lactaid milk and 1 pack of noodle soups. Her purse was closed and even in her arms. I was about to go get a refund if she dared try it again. I will only go in here to buy lactaid milk and some soups for work atleast until they improve on how they handle their checkings at the door.

Ive been going here since they opened and spend $700 dollars every week. And when I go to exit, the racial profiling begins by the employees checking your receipt. Today I had enough and I demanded a refund for my membership. I have lived in Kearny all my life. Not only did BJs hire only 10% of the people from the town of Kearny, they hired 90% blacks from out of town. So if you are anything other than black, the black employee will strip search your cart like if you were wearing an orange jump suit and the same black employee will wave through black customers without a second glance. I will never set foot in this place...

I love this BJ Warehouse in Kearny location. It got everything I need....lots of selection. Im a satisfied customer...This reminds me of Costco in Clifton...Although Im primarily a Costco shopper, I will keep both Annual memberships since its only $50..In my opinion, BJ is way better than Shoprite or Walmart from savings perspective. I can also go online and print the coupons. I will be shopping here more often than Costco since its more convenient..I live about a few blocks. Thank you very much BJ and thank you God for opening this new store in Kearny.

I am an avid shopper at BJS and was ecstatic when they opened one close to me in Kearny. Sadly I will never return. After spend 25 minutes on a line that only had 2 shoppers ahead of me I was finally ready to pay and get home. Little did I know that I would be spending another 20 minutes waiting for the cashier to fix an error on a $1 coupon !!! It was terrible ! I will never return and just drive the extra 15 minutes to the East Rutherford location.

Although, I am thrilled the store is in the area, and for the most part, have been satisfied with my experience and product, Ive purchased prepared wingettes twice and they were covered with ice inside the bag. Prepared wings are not fresh! Additionally, store needs a larger variety of everything, meats, fruits, vegetables, electronics, etc.

Poor customer service.... i was there buying a verizon prepaid cellphone. The supervisor instead of helping me recommend me to go to a verizon store and get one instead of finding out what was going on with the product. Bad experience in that particular store. Hope they do better for the customers...

We pay for a membership and this is the second time in three months there were only 3 registers open, long wait to pay just for a few items, waited online for like 40 min.The prices are going up and the customer service is poor. I will definitely be rethinking renewing my 50.00 membership

NO BJs cafe in this facility, whereas 99% of other BJs clubs have their own cafe selling items like pizza and hotdogs. This facility has a Dunkin Donuts, where you can find countless DD stores right around the area...

Great location but their selection is very limited, either they dont carry certain items or they are always out of stock, I like buying in bulk but I find myself shopping more at Shop Rite for the variety

Easy to navigate and the obviously the prices are good. Cashiers are really nice too, tend to go during the day to minimize congestion.
