The great place for variety of organic meat, greens, fruits and veggies. Almost same choice as at StopNshop but much better prices. And a way less crowdy and cleaner then Costco. Much closer than Costco, great place for quick shopping as at regular grocery store with no parking or cashier line nightmare. Usually equal brands are cheaper at Costco, but BJs has better variety choice so treat it as a good addition rather full replacement to the first one. It worth to mention parking lot itself. Its really huge, convenient and has a beautiful bay view. I never seen it used more than a half capacity, even on weekend. The problem is selfish people. I dont personally mind going 2 levels up but there were so many times when lazy dudes blocked the entrance and made famous Costco-style parking mess. The second issue is related to the lack of customers culture again. If you shop in the evening, be prepared to meet a mess in fruits and berries department, cracked boxes, smashed strawberries and stolen tomato from every box.

I love Bjs & the products thay they carry, but this location is by far the worst i have been to. None of the same type of items are in the same location, the store organization makes no sense, the staff dont know where things are or send you on a wild goose chase when you ask for help, produce isnt fresh, packaged perishables have exeration dates months away but in a matter of days starts to go moldy or spoil, the coupons they have for that location are great but they dont have the products in stock, you have to fight to get a shopping cart, they will have lines going all the way across the store yet only 3 registers are open. The only positive thing i can say is about the parking. There are always lots of parking spots if you dont go at thier peak traffic times, some even covered which is nice on a rainy day.

Consistently understaffed at the registers, out of 26 Registers, usually only 9 are open and the 1st one is always express only! Thats less than half the registers available!! Sadly, management should be faulted. Sometimes when there are sales, the items arent available! Store selections are good. Parking lot crowds up quickly and the slobs that park here consistently throw trash all over the lot and in the carts, seldom have I seen it clean! Also, last 2 times I purchased a rotisserie chicken it was undercooked! Does Corporate even care? Oh yeah, they dont because BJS was recently sold off to a private equity so its THEIR problem now! Unfortunately, Costco seems to have a leg up on this place!

This was the last time !!!!!!!!!! Rude and very unprofessional management !!!!!! The manager " John C " looked like he was scared of his crew. Couldnt open up his mouth to overcome his out of control employee, who was cursing and threatening me. Ive been coming to this location since they opened up, ignoring constant shortage of staff, overcrowded parking lot and rude personal. Not to mention, that they were so in the hurry to close the store, that while I was in the aisle looking at something they literally stole my cart full of shopping and made a huge seen after I asked to give it back. Any how, this is the worst shopping experience at BJS.

If you live in the South Brooklyn area and need stuff in bulk, this is the place. The reason I like this place is because theres no long lines even on the weekends and early evenings. I always gripe about wholesale clubs because it seems so packed with people but this one is really calm and quiet. Hopefully it stays like that for the many years to come. The food court itself has a lot of seating compared to the BJs in Gateway Drive and the staff in general is a lot more friendlier. The only problems this place has is parking which is a really small/poorly designed 3 story parking lot and that its in a area where its hard to notice and get to.

This place has and is becoming better than costco. I drive about 30 minutes away to find variety and great selection of food and products. The coupon system is different than costco where you need the coupon most of the time but lately some products now come with clip less coupons where its taken off already. I like how there is three floors of parking and and elevator access. The staff is friendly and I stopped going to the 39st Costco due to some products lacking freshness and well i feel like since.they have money now they would worry less about the.consumer but you be the judge overall im happy.

One way in & one way out of such an enormous facility add to that 8 out of 10 times @ least 1 of the elevators are broken now for the icing on the cake inside wall to wall registers the problem is most of them have no cashiers behind them !!! @ times the lines can go into the isles . Penny wise dollar foolish . If cooperate could just see how many people get so frustrated waiting those long lines & walk out leaving wagons full of groceries & how much money is walking out the door of customers who will now shop elsewhere . Im sure something would be done to correct this problem ...

An employee at BJs Optical on Shore Parkway was extremely unethical. I was almost ripped me off for $50. This person that waited on me tried to add their "Eyeglass Protection Plan" to my bill without telling me. It was only because I made a detailed examination of my bill that I noticed the scam. When I told her that the total was more than I expected she tried to convince me the computer was correct and there was no error. After I explicitly showed her where she added the protection plan without my permission she said "oh, everyone gets it". What a liar and cheat!!!

Great location and closer than costco. Less variety than costco store but perfect for quick shopping visit. Parking has three levels, usually go to the top, barely any cars there. Parking on street level could be a hassle during busy times. Decent selection of fruits, veggies, some healthy items too, plenty of frozen foods. Pet food, littler, car synthetic oil, water huge packs, picnic plates, cups, utensils. Lines get long but never had an issue, always see express line but sometimes it is the longest line :)

Location is fantastic. Its great not having to drive further, and into East New York to shop at their wholesale store. That being said..... its the WORST when it comes to checking out. The lines are obscene, management never expedites anything. Ive waited close to one hour on line there for just a handful of items. No express line to be found, and maintained. Half of the registers are always closed. Always. I have never waited less than 20 minutes on line here. Ugh.

More parking, more variety than Costco, and they dont upsell to the executive membership plans when you are waiting to pay, but thats about it. Their mini fast food area isnt always open (especially on weekdays). Their prices are at best comparable but often 10 - 25% more than Costco. They have huge selection for junk food but maybe one other choice for healthy foods. The coupon clipping will drive you insane.

Terrible experience today waiting 20 minutes in line to check out as they had only 4 cash registers open out of over 20! of course they managed to staff 4 people at the doors to make sure you dont walk out with merchandise. Shows you how much they care about customer service. Hey Bjs next time you want to shut down 80% of your registers, why dont you as well shut down 80% of your shopping isles???!!
