The lack of proper customer service during my latest visit absolutely floored me! Here is what happened: We walked in and headed directly for the fish. An employee was helping a customer out and acknowledged he was aware we were there for his service as he passed us. I went to the goldfish and patiently waited for him to return. While I was waiting, another group of people walked up to the same tanks. When the associate returned, they demanded his attention. He looked at me, full well knowing that I had been waiting longer, and then dismissed me and agreed to help them before me because they were being demanding while I was being patient. AND THEN THEY BOUGHT MY FISH! Since thats the level of their customer service, I will never return again. I would rather give my money to ANYONE that would give appropriate customer service to me, without me having to be even more rude than the customers demanding his attention before the person everyone (including the associate) knows was there before them. Giving my fish to rude, selfish customers is unforgivable. I choose my pets carefully. It was not a feeder, and I had spent the entire time I was waiting for him picking it out. Needless to say, we walked straight out of the store when that happened, and will not be returning.

I went in to buy a replacement filter cartridge and stopped by to look at the betta display as I always do. I saw one beautiful halfmoon betta that had a severe columnaris infection and felt terrible for it. It was marked premium and was $20.00, so no one was ever going to spend so much on it when it could die any day without treatment. I called over an associate and explained how sick the betta was, who then called over her manager. I explained to the manager that it obviously wasnt fair to pay $20.00 for the betta, but that Id be willing to take it in and give it the antibiotics and antifungals it needed as well as a good home (a heated and filtered planted tank) if it survived if he would give me the fish for free OR for a reduced rate. He told me that I either had to buy it at full price without the normal return guarantee, or he was going to immediately take the fish into the back and euthanize it. I argued with him for several minutes, but he wouldnt back down and I walked out without buying the fish or the filter I had originally come for. As I walked out, I saw him take the fish into the back to kill it. I drove home crying.

Not surprised reading the reviews. Live in the area and needed to get change for a $100.00 because Papa Murphys right down the complex didnt have change for it. I asked and the almost bald, older employee with glasses looked kind of confused. I asked if they could give change for a $100 bill. He said if I bought something, and I said Ill go grab some dog bones. He then told me "we arent a bank". I was pretty shocked, then realized I was in my gym clothes so I wondered if he was stereotyping me like I was trying to steal. He told me Target would be a better option and honestly at that point the guy got me pretty frustrated enough to where I didnt want to give them any of the money. I left and batteries and bulbs had no problems giving me change even without buying something. Youre a corporate store, changing something especially if youre a manager shouldnt be a problem. I also hope you go out of business like the rest of the businesses in the complex after hearing about your reptile and fish living conditions and this experience. Honestly it made me want to go back in the store and chew this guy out, but I decided not to.

Wish I could give this place ZERO stars. Their enclosure for the leopard geckos they have there was horrific. The conditions were very poor, and a majority of the geckos were extremely malnourished. A few of them even had bones showing, they were so ill. When I asked what was going on with them, an associate told me "I dont know, Im not in charge of taking care of them". I was utterly appalled at that answer. Obviously no one was taking care of them, or else they would be much healthier. I looked at other enclosures for the other reptiles, and they seemed pretty small, but I am very familiar with how a healthy leopard gecko should look and what type of enclosure they should have, and the way they were taking care of these reptiles was absolutely awful.

We took my dog there to get groomed in the same condition that we have always taken her in. When we went to go pick her up later she basically shaved her to the skin. I was livid. If they knew anything about the particular breed they would know that she can get sun burned because she isnt suppose to have her skin exposed that is why she has alot of fur. Talking to the manager got zero results and even the regional manager was very rude. I will never ever take any of my dogs to Petco for grooming again.

Horrible Grooming. Its like they didnt care. The lady was very pushy on the additives... (which by the way is anything other then shampoo). When i told her NO she got mad and kept trying to push me. I just wanted my dog shaved for spring, bathed and nails done. When done.....Her cut was very choppy and uneven, not all of her nails were done and she still had hair in her ears (which IS part of grooming always). NOT WORTH THE MONEY OR HARASSMENT!!!

All I wanted was to get my dogs nails clipped and I start getting interrogated and harassed about my dog. Not only that but he groomer gave me sass the entire time. No wonder no body was here and never comes here. Everyone is rude and the service is garbage. Sat there waiting for 10 minutes for nothing. And you guys treat your animals like garbage too, hope you guys get shut down.

This Petco is a good location. I was treated well by the staff members and the store was clean. I love how animals are allowed in the store as long as they are leashed. The prices, however, are pretty high on some products even with a membership card. I found higher quality products for less money online. Overall, its a good place to quickly grab animal supplies.

I just went to go buy 2 red ear slider turtles And the guy wouldnt sell them to me his name was Dave he was very rude was a bit raicist I had a wonderful pond for the turtles He keep sain that I needed a tank and a heater or I couldnt take the turtles so I guess a tank I better habitat for turtles than a pond never going to a Petco again

Went there to look at fish and aquariums. The 4 people "working" there didnt bother to ask of if we needed anything. We told one employee about a cricket that was on the floor. He just shrugged his shoulders and said "It wont hurt anything." Cant wait until they have their going out of business sale.

The employees are amazing and has helped my animal family a lot, tomorrow I will stop by and I might get a ferret! I remember the one I want, his name is cinnamon, I sorta bonded with the cute guy, I hope he wasnt adopted hey so I can get him, but if not, Ill be as happy if I get a different one.
