My Dodge Ram van with 80k+ miles wouldnt start so I had it towed to Firkins. Took them a week to diagnose the problem. They called me to tell me the computer that controlled everything needed to be replaced. $1800. Thought that was high but agreed to have them fix it. A day later I picked up the van. I filled the van with gas and noticed the gas tank showed empty. A computer problem so I brought it back to to Firkins. They reprogrammed/ reset the computer and said it would be fine. A day later the van would not start again. I had it towed back to Firkins. I thought since it was in for service before and it still wasnt fixed they would get to it right away. I was wrong, it was several days and nothing was done. I called and was upset. Close to 10 days and $1800 and my van still wasnt fixed. I wanted it fixed immediately and not pay anymore but they informed me that I might have to pay for additional repairs. I thought after 10 days they should fix it for the $1800 I already paid. Plus I had paid to have it towed back a second time. Since I needed a van immediately I complained to management and they agreed that if I purchased a van from them they would make me a great" deal on one. I picked a year old van from the used lot and they offered to sell it to me for the price already listed on it with no discount at all. What?! I eventually spoke to the General Manager. He found another van for me and claimed he reduced the price for me because of my ordeal. At this point I no longer trusted this dealership. He wrote the price down for me and I decided to shop around. I found the same exact used van a Chevrolet Express 3500 same year with less mileage at Cox Chevrolet. Cox had great customer service. I was able to buy it for $1000 less than Firkins. Again just shows me that Firkins really didnt care about my problem. So in the end Firkins kept my $1800, never got my van to work and lost a customer for life. My family has bought 6 cars in the last 5 years. Hopefully others will read this and not shop there as well. I gave them many opportunities to do the right thing. Each time resulted in poor customer service.

After finding a vehicle at the Auto outlet of Firkins and walking in with pre approved financing from my credit union, the finance rep Aaron said the paper I had was not sufficient- that I should re-do my application and it would bypass having to wait since it was after hours for the credit union. They made it seem like it was the same thing I had already done, just being able to get it done after hours. After that process the automated system came back with different terms than my previously arranged financing with the credit union and this process also opened up something called a "Indirect Loan" with the credit union which no one told me was going to happen. It was a waste of time because I was not pursing the terms the automated system set up nor the indirect loan and had to wait to get with the credit union the next day anyways. After I went back and forth with the credit union and Aaron, letting Aaron know I was NOT going ahead with a indirect loan; even giving Aaron the direct contact information for my direct auto loan adviser who he claimed to have spoken with, these people still tried pushing through the indirect auto loan A WEEK AFTER I ALREADY SIGNED PAPERS AND HAVE HAD THE VEHICLE IN MY POSSESSION AND CLEARLY TOLD HIM I DID NOT WANT TO DO. Aaron said he would take care of everything by getting the required documents to my auto loan adviser for my direct loan the previous week when I took the vehicle home, which he did not take care of. After a week I was getting a request from Firkins for my pay stub because the "bank" was requesting it- which was just Firkins trying to finalize the in direct loan that I DID NOT WANT TO DO. I had to go to the credit union and finalize everything myself because this place could not do it properly. On top of that I tried texting and calling Aaron several times over a 2 day period and he did not respond at all. This was my first time buying a car on my own and it turned into a HORRIBLE experience. They dont care what you want, they just want to get their percentage from loans and do it their way regardless of what you ask for.

Went in here after numerous trips to dealerships looking for a used truck. Mind you I was lugging about $3500 negative equity with me and no cash down...not the ideal situation. all I had on my side was great credit. After sitting down with a salesman then with the director Gino Finelli about a beautiful used 16 RAM, he was able to open up my possibilities of buying a new truck because of my situation and not being able to meet my budget with used and did it VERY PROFESSIONALY, NOT ALL SALESMANISH. I am glad he did, he called the manager Russel Knox in NEW and explained my situation so I was welcomed with open arms. Russel showed me a couple of new options and of course I go for the more expensive model with minor upgrades. NOW the fun began, it took me way out of my budget but they did not give up to make the deal work. All I can say is I even called in a friend who consults for car dealerships and he blessed off the deal I was being given with my situation. These guys went to bat for me and I am forever grateful for that. I have purchased 4 or so cars in my life, always coming up negative and felt like I wasnt treated 100%. This time I was WAY over my budget. So I waited to write this review and AM STILL VERY SATISFIED with the way I was treated, the deal I got, and ultimately the vehicle I was put in. I like to think I know a few things about the industry from what colleagues have taught me and at NO POINT did I feel disrespected, mistreated, or lied to. I WOULD RECOMMEND ANYONE LOOKING FOR A TRUCK LET THESE GUYS HELP YOU! they truly do have your best interest in mind. They knew what I needed a truck for (MPG/towing capacity, pretty much looking for a unicorn!) and were able to deliver to the point where I felt comfortable going above my budget to make it work. I LOVE MY TRUCK and never write reviews but told these guys I would because of the deal I got. They buried my equity so I have a chance to come up positive in the future and get ahead for once! THANK YOU GINO, RUSSEL, and Brent!!

Purchased a used kia soul with 60k miles a little less than a month ago. Within 10 miles from leaving the dealership I had a check engine light and a misfire code. Someone had pressure washed the engine bay and flooded a spark plug. After pulling the wire and letting it dry out the misfire went away. Upon further inspection of the engine bay, the coolant reservoir was dry. A few days later I decide to hand wash the car and discover dozens of stone chips that were crudely filled in with the wrong paint shade, many of which chipped off from the wash to reveal small rust spots where rock chips had been deep enough to go through the paint and primer. I was told numerous times the car was flawless, even though the front bumper was clearly dented from a front impact by some sort of hitch or something similar. Another few days go by, I decide to take the car on a 3 hour trip. Low and behold, I discover the cruise control does not shut off with the brakes and I have no brake lights until the brake pedal is nearly to the floor. This is a recall on the brake switch that should have been fixed long ago. Also the passenger side headlight is nearly burnt out while the drivers side appears to be new. The service traction control light comes on randomly now and then. This dealership claims to do a thorough inspection of used cars, but they clearly do not. Ive never purchased a new or used vehicle before that did not come with a full tank of gas. It was nearly empty on my test drive, and under a quarter tank when I went back the next day to pick it up. I asked about the gas and they said they put "$10 or so" in each car after sale. They put max $4 in, it takes less than $20 to fill entirely. This car was listed at $10k (just lowered too!). Ended up being $11k final sale price after I declined $12.5k they bumped it up to. This car was only $16k brand new 5 years ago, and it doesnt have a warranty! Ill be taking my business to the dealership the car was originally purchased from for repairs and maintenance.
