Well attempting to shop here was certainly an experience. I cant decide what I enjoyed the most: the glares from the receptionist upon entering or simply the flat out nasty treatment by the salesperson (whose name Ive decided to omit despite egregious treatment). I drove up this past weekend to help my family shop for a new vehicle. Despite a history of negative experiences from this dealer, we decided to give them a fresh shot since it has been years since we have owned a Toyota. My parents had already met with the salesperson the day before I arrived and had selected a vehicle they were interested in. I was informed that they would have to wait a few days for the bank to return with a credit decision. Coincidentally (what a joke), the saleswoman took it upon herself to relentlessly pester my family over putting a down payment. My father had already informed her several times he was not able to or willing to place a down payment on the vehicle. I also reiterated this to her the following day as I could clearly see her endgame was to stall the credit process until a down payment was agreed to, um...no. I then proceeded to ask her for a copy of the paperwork that was filled out the day prior (without me being there). I also asked her if she could provide us with a written offer since "the bank was not responding." She complied and went to the back to retrieve the said paperwork and upon her return she informed us that the documents were "locked away" and the appropriate manager was not available to retrieve them for us. So up until this point it has become excuse after excuse but now the insults begin. She clearly has come back defensive and begins criticizing my parents for "wasting her time" and to please let her know if we are planning on "shopping around" because if we are she can destroy the paperwork (oh wait I thought it was locked up?). She directs her attention to my parents and snarkily remarks that she "cant believe [I] am the decision-maker in the family." EXCUSE ME? Firstly, its absolutely none of your business if we shop around or not. Secondly, I am there assisting my parents before they throw $30,000 worth of business at some sleazy saleswoman who has minimal care for the actual customer. Wouldnt any reasonable person shop around before spending THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS? So first we are stalled, then we are lied to, then we are insulted to our faces, then we are THREATENED?! How in the hell does she expect our business? Its laughable. But ladies and gentlemen, the story does not end there. As we do our "shopping" around we find a great and fair deal at Germain Toyota in Sarasota. My father promptly informs the saleswoman that we will no longer require her assistance as she attempts to retain his business by letting him know that "kids these days seem to think they know everything." Simply, wow. Lo and behold, 5 minutes later she returns my fathers call informing him the bank has made a decision! What a coincidence, right?! Yeah, I think not. We took our money to Germain where a deal was made within a couple hours and most of all, TREATED WITH RESPECT. I recommend everyone stray away from this place. And saleslady, if you ever read this, take this as a learning opportunity to not argue with, insult, or discriminate against your customers because, you will not get the sale!

My review only pertains to the Gettel used Supercenter*** I went in here looking for the only Manual Honda Civic I could find in florida that was less than a year old. They were the only dealership in Florida with it. If they were not, I would not have purchased anything from this dealership. Their internet prices are a sham. They have a $900 minimum fee they tack on from their "guaranteed" price online. Even after I contacted their after hours chat support (The lady on the chat was very nice) they confirmed their price. It was below Blue Book and Nada book value. I went to the dealership. They are intruding hawks. Worse than any dealership Ive been to. Granted Ive only purchased 5 cars from dealerships in my lifetime but Ive never been hassled and prodded as much as this dealership. It wasnt my sales person, he was very nice, but it was his manager hammering down my throat. They wouldnt give me any break on the purchase price or waive the ridiculous $900 dealer fee that was never advertised. I was annoyed but okay with it because the price of the car was still under NADA and Kelly Blue Book. Did I mention EVERY SINGLE CAR has been in an accident? Yes, Every car on this lot has been in an accident and repaired in their ho-hum shop behind the building. They didnt attach my bumper correctly and I didnt notice until a few days after I left the dealership. I got screwed on that part. Anyway, In the finance room. The Finance "officer" refused to let me leave without taking their warranties. I literally sat in the finance room telling the man I did not want the warranties for 2 hours. After 2 hours I got fed up and bought 2 of the 3 offered through the same bank they financed through. (Did you know you can cancel the warranties by asking the dealership for the Florida State Mandated cancellation forms?) I did this a few days later. They filled out the forms made me a copy (that I asked for) and I was on my way. Two weeks later I called the finance company and they never received the documents. I was annoyed and tried calling the dealership 3 times to talk to the finance officer and was never transferred after a few hours wait. I scanned and sent copies of all my documents to the finance company and they PROMPTLY reimbursed my loan with the cost of the warranties. Lion Bank is very helpful if you finance with them. They said they get a lot of those pushed back from that dealership. I know why. A quick note, if they have THE EXACT CAR you want at a price listed (and you wouldnt mind paying about $1000 more) then go to this dealership. IF you want someone trust worthy and that will work with you, do not go to this dealership. I would never return there if they gave away a free car.

SPOT DELIVERY SCAMMERS AT THE FINEST No..No..Noo DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE! Scroll all the way down all these ratings are 4 stars but everywhere else there is lots of negatives. I have had 2 bad experiences now with this company and my fiance purchased 2 vehicles also, they do not care about repeat business...Maybe if your wealthy and have lots of money and time to burn then this might be the place for you. They screwed me in 2013 the first time when I traded in my Ford Expedition in which I owned outright and sold me a VW jetta and told me no worries with the extended warranty I had nothing to worry about, I only traded it in because my daughter had been diagnosed with a brain mass and we had to go to All Childrens and Shans MULTIPLE times and my expedition got about 17mpg. So 2-3 weeks later they tell me to come back in they had some "additional" paperwork to sign and they stripped away the warranty and said it was the lender, I asked for my truck back and they had already sold or auctioned it off. They immediately started scrambling around like cockroaches. I must be naive to truly have believed it was the lender because they just did the exact same thing again.....NEVER NEVER NEVER believe a word they say they lie and deceive from the moment they make eye contact with you! How to Prevent the Spot Delivery Scam You should do this anyway if you want to get the best auto loan terms. If you have your own financing lined up, you dont have to worry about getting the dreaded "financing fell through" call. If you do get financing through a dealer (you should only do this if they can beat your best rates), then ask to see the loan approval. You may be told by some dealers that the lender agreement is confidential. This should be a red flag. If a dealer asks you to sign a "borrowed car agreement" (BCA) along with the purchase agreement, this is almost always because the loan has not been approved. Again, ask to see the loan approval before taking the vehicle home. What to Do If You Already Got Scammed Sometimes, there are legitimate reasons why a financing deal may fall through. If you purchase a car after-hours or on the weekend, the loan may not be approved until the following day or until the first business day. This is rare though since most lenders have fully automated approval systems in place. In most cases, a dealer should know whether youre approved within seconds. Even if there was an honest mistake and the financing falls through, a reputable dealer should incur the costs since the buyer was not at fault.
