We went into the savoy store last weekend when cindy, the assistant manager checked us out, my fiancé wanted to buy a cigar and left his id in the car, she said she couldnt sell it to him without his id--fair enough... so he went out to get it in the car and return to buy it. as he went out my sister and i were purchasing two cases of beer, as a line started to form behind us. my sister said well can u just check my id, and i will buy it, she said sharply "NO". we were just trying to help her out to make the line go faster.. as my boyfriend eventually returns with the id she looks at it and tosses it back on the counter instead of handing it back to him. she grumbles under her breath and rolls her eyes at him. Then when we asked if she got the cigar in there to make sure we got it she said "yes" and threw the ink pink down with attitude and gave me my receipt she said "you give attitude you get attitude missy" i said nothing but Im sure my look on my face said it all. as we walked out she said, you are a spoiled little brat.. i cant believe friar tuck would hire such a miserable woman who clearly hates her job and makes her customers never want to return to sure terrible service. you call yourself a manager?? where do we take the complaints to then???

No one helped us here while we were shopping but the service was efficient when we checked out. I agree, the customer service is not special. It has an upscale warehouse feel. The prices are average. Not too expensive but not cheap either. Imported products are usually these prices. But the selection is fantastic and we found more than we came for so it was a successful trip. The store is well merchandised and it is easy to find products by the beverage category. They even have a small local cheese selection by the door to allow for a complete wine/ cheese experience. We will be back and stock up again.

In response to Jessicas poor rating below, I have had nothing but incredible service each and every time Ive visited Friar Tucks. I brew my own beer and often have questions regarding their selections of yeasts and grains. Someone always comes up from the back and helps answer my question. While not everyone employed there is an expert on beer, wine or spirits, you can gain assistance from someone who does. All you have to do is ask and someone comes up to serve you promptly!

Hmm. Used to like this place, but four spoiled bottles of wine in the last month or two. The first two they allowed returns, but the last batch they were weird about. I wonder if they ruined a lot of their nicer wines and wont admit it because Binnys is killing them. Or bought in an iffy batch for cheap. Either way, if you buy wine from there, drink it right away and keep your receipt, and Id avoid the more expensive stuff.

Most of the wines I bought here had rotten egg smell to it. I bought 12 bottles, many chianti classicos, couple bordeaux, one zinfandel, and one chardonnay. Only two bottles were in a good condition, zinfandel with screw top, and chardonnay. I had to throw out all chiantis and bordeaux. I do not have a car, so I will probably not go and return them, and probably not going to visit this store again.

Selection is adequate, but pricing used to be more competitive. No stock on several popular bourbons, found Eagle Rare at supermarket around the corner. Floor staff has to call for help to locate an item. Overall, FT seems to be slipping.

I love the selection of the store and was a regular customer, however the customer service I received tonight was so poor and the manager was so rude that I question if I should ever give them my business again.

I was here yesterday to buy specific wines that I was looking for. This store did not carry it but they were very kind and recommended some similar types. I bought two bottles and enjoyed their recommendation.

Great place for beer and wine, and the only place in town Im aware of that cells homebrew supplies. They will also special order items for you (at a surprisingly good price compared to online retailers)!

Its a pretty huge selection of higher quality beers and spirits, if you are looking for lots of flavored alcohol for cheap go to Binnys, if you want to impress your high brou friends go here.

Massive collection of spirits. Sometimes hard to find a specific wine due to so many choices. Staff is always very helpful and they have wine testing at times.
