I was in the Altamonte Mall recently and sat down on a bench in the center near the elevator. Almost immediately, I began coughing violently and my nose began to run. I looked around and was shocked with what I saw. There, immediately behind me was a Vape-Xpress kiosk. I could not believe it. About six people were "vaping" blowing out clouds of poison mist [vapor]. Some of those vaping were hanging out and some were the employees. I coughed all the way to the Management Office [by Macys]. The receptionist told me, "Oh no, they are not allowed to vape in the Mall. They have to go outside to vape." The kiosk was nowhere near a door, and what person buying e-cigs and paraphernalia will buy without trying or demonstration? What young person is going to care that they say "no vaping in the mall". An employee at a nearby kiosk told me that at night the vapor clouds are many and are awful. Vaping mist contains a multitude of harmful chemicals. The secondhand vapor that everyone around breathes contains at the very least benzene, diethylene glycol, formaldehyde, isoprene, nicotine, and N-Nitrosonornicotine. What customer service and pity the nearby employees!

Today I had my 2 year old daughters birthday party about 15 people at Build-A-Bear. We finished up with pizza and cake in the food court. It ended with me running out of the mall because there was a fight going down in the food court. As I was leaving police were called in. My first concern is when I went to go change her diaper there were several adults in the family restroom I assume doing something wrong or illegal. There had to of been at least 20 or more people congregating around the bathroom using foul language and were extremely roudy. This to me is a red flag. Why would security not find this odd? Why would the safety and security of the family bathroom changing area not be a top priority? I have been going to that mall for 20 years. The seating area in the food court by the bathroom seems to be a serious issue. My family and I will not be collateral damage for a lack of attention and security. I hope this opens someones eyes that there is a serious problem there. I genuinely feel that someone will eventually get seriously hurt if something is not done. Such a shame to have my daughter exposed to this on her special day.

Imagine this...On June 24th I Arrived At The Mall At 4:30ish to Purchase My Reserved Iphone 4 from Apple. Apple had told everyone standing in this long line that the cops and the Apple employees were ready to stay until about midnightish to take care of us. We all Stood In Line until 9PM. Yep, 4 and a half awful hours of wasting time.... Only to be informed at 8:58pm that the mall was NOT going to stay open for this and we all needed to leave. Since we had been informed to around 6:30pm of the plan to stay serving customers until Midnight, it probably would have been awesome from the Altamonte Mall To say then that this wasnt going to be allowed instead they walked around us, watched the line grow larger and smiled while we all wasted hours of our time. So kudos to Apple For Trying to go the extra mile. Screw the Altamonte Mall for enjoying the drama they knew withholding this information would no doubt create.

DO NOT GO TO EDGE!!! I went on a Friday and bought some pants that were a similar material to tights. I bought them for $24.99 a little pricey for the type of pants but I have been looking for them everywhere so I THOUGHT it was worth it. I get ready to wear the pants 4 days later take off the tag and see FOUR quarter sized holes (some were bigger then others) on my left butt cheek. The next day I take it back to the store and the clerk there tells me since the tag is off she cant give me a refund or even store credit even though I have my receipt and tag with me. When I bought the pants the only thing they told me about the return policy is that it only applied within 10 days of your purchase had I have known showing up with the receipt AND tag would be pointless I wouldve never purchased from the store. DONT GO!!

The mall itself, while its usually busy and for the majority of the time, clean. I could not bare the overwhelming smell of cheddar popcorn. From the moment you step foot into the mall.... no, rather, by the time youre 15 ft from the mall entrance, you will experience a smell so over powering, its as if they are pumping the stench through the air vents. The clothes you buy within the stores too have the pungent smell of white cheddar popcorn. Its repulsive. Rather than the few hours i wouldve meandered aimlessly through the mall, I found myself angrily shopping for exactly what i needed, toppling over small children, and old people alike, to escape the smell. Please put an end to the madness. Please leave popcorn for the movies.

This is probably my favorite Mall in Central Florida. Its not as crowded with Shoppers as the Florida Mall and is more geared towards the common shopper then Mall at Millenia which is more high-end and luxury. The food court has a lot of variety and they also have a few eateries near the center of the mall outside of the food court. The mall is always kept in good condition and very clean. Theres never a bunch of vacant storefronts and I really like that they took a lot of the vendors from the artegon mall and gave them a new home. If youre doing your everyday shopping and not looking for Tiffany and Gucci and other high-end retailers and dont feel like dealing with the crowds at Florida Mall this is your best bet.

If I could rate this place a 0 I would. The staff is very young women who all look at if they are still in dental training school, the side conversations they were having was very unprofessional. I had to go to this place because I changed insurance, you can best believe I will be going bacj to what I use to have after this. They tried to tell me I have 2 cavities which isnt true, I just had dental work done with my dentist who is amazing by the way. Then they refused to clean my teeth unless I paid for a deep cleaning 85.00, right after the doctor was telling me how great my teeth look. I look young, but Im far from dumb! I wasted time from work and I didnt even get a cleaning! Im PISSED!

Malls are falling. Online shopping causes so much change in how people buy their goods. One thing, though, you can never buy online (at least for now) is delicious, freshly-made local food and drinks. Altamonte Mall seems to understand that fact well and they decided to turn their once a meet point with a fountain into a food hall. First one Ive seen in Orlando, and it looks very promising. I am very excited to see what comes to this food gathering besides Mrs Fields and popcorn place that have already been there. Absolutely wise decision for staying alive in this millennials-driven time.

Chinese food at the food court gave one of my family members a horrible experience and food poisoning (verifiable from Florida Hospital) for a week. We tried contacting the mall but no one returned our call. I also hate being approached & stopped (while Im looking for a store) so that the staff can sell me something Im not looking for. Let the customer approach you instead! As for the rest of the mall, very good selection of stores. Just keep away from the Chinese food if you know whats good for you. Get it elsewhere.
