Good selection, good prices, but have a had a few experiences with policies that were frustrating and/or completely illogical. For instance, I was told that I had to take one of their plastic bags even though Id brought empty, recycled bags that they could still staple closed. What difference would it have made, other than less waste and a few pennies saved on their end? The only explanation they could offer was that "its our policy." On another visit, they wouldnt allow me to use a school credit card when Id brought my entire class of 14yo students who had spent 2 hours picking out costumes for the class play. I had ID and it wasnt busy, so the manager could have quickly and easily called the school for confirmation. I ended up having to use a personal credit card (which seems to me even more evidence that I wasnt a thief). There are good deals here, but there are also plenty of other thrift stores around and it pains me to unnecessarily use more plastic bags, so I now very rarely make a special trip.

The VDO is the best thrift store in the Akron area. We shop at all the different thrift stores in the area (Goodwill, Salvation Army, Ohio Discount, etc.) and this is our favorite. Definitely sign up for their text club (check out their website to find out how) as they periodically send you coupons. Sometimes these coupons are $5 off a $10 purchase or even $5 off a $5 purchase (yeah, that means you can get stuff for free). They always have 2 tag colors that are half off, and these colors are rotated every Thursday. Then, on Sunday and Monday you can get things for even cheaper as one of the two color tags is marked down even more. Kelly is one of the best cashiers ever, and she will even greet you by name once she gets to know you.

The best thrift store in my opinion. Isles and isles of clothes. Everyday two tags are half price and they have even better sales on Sun, mon, and tues like 75 cent day. If you sign up for the text club they send you $5 off coupons about once a month and sometimes more. It takes a little time to go through the clothes but youre pretty much guaranteed to find several items every time you go. Im lucky if I get out of there without a cart full. One of my favorite places in the world. If you need clothing dont waste your time at more expensive thrifts like Goodwill. The Village Thrift is where its at!

SHOPPERS BEWARE of bag checks! I enjoy thrifting for fun and used to regularly shop at village thrift. That is until they felt the need to do a bag search (of my Louis Vuitton purse) after I paid for roughly $100 in merchandise. The workers know me from frequent visits and Im always incredible kind. I sent email to their customer service sharing how it felt as a loyal customer essentially being accused of steeling and they never even responded. They do not value customers. I wont go back. There are enough other great thrift stores in the area that are more friendly and have better customer service.

I love this place. They have a wide selection of everything and I always walk out with something. The people who work here are wonderful too. Im sure they arent compensated for all that is required to keep up with it. My only wish is that it was in order as far as the sizes are concerned. But really what can you expect when you find great dresses for under $5.00 and designer jeans for under $10.00. Hence the reason I didnt give them the best rating. I just bought my husband a weeks worth of work jeans for half the price at any other store. Thank you ladies for all you do.

If its deals youre looking for, youll likely find what you need. However, if you care about cleanliness or customer service you might want to steer clear. It can get pretty crowded. Turning in/out of their parking lot can also be a big challenging. If youre looking to save a few bucks on clothes, you should be able to accomplish that - especially if you pay attention to whichever color tags are on sale that day - but do not expect to feel like you are in a Kohls or similar retail environment.

I love thrift/outlet/bargain stores. Love them. Those high brows can look down ask they want. This one like moist others is well kept, clean, and somewhat organised. The prices on some things, nwt, are way over priced. But for the most part a bargain can be found. They know the brands so dont expect to find much if youre a flipper. There is also plenty of things that shouldve thrown away. Im rambling. Check it out. Dont expect to get rich.

Absolutely LOVE this thrift store! My Favorite for sure! Found out from a friend, been going ever since. No store has as good of finds as this one. Dont think you will spend less than a few hours looking through the racks, but it can be worth it. More often than not, I find some great things! Im from the Cleveland area, and I STILL drive out from time to time. Highly recommend!

Good prices if you buy the half off color items and good clothes but yall need to hire people that can count. I got $3 back in change when i should have got $6 and now im mad bc im broke af and i needed that extra $3. I didnt realize the mistake till i got home later that day. And this is not the first time i had someone that couldnt count money right.

A huge selection of very cheap clothes of varying qualities. They arent sorted by size which makes shopping difficult, but if you stick with it youll be sure to find a deal. That being said, highly recommend washing any clothes you bring home before wearing them. I had a really nasty reaction to a chemical on one of my purchases.

The prices at this Village Discount Outlet are still fair, but it seems like the place has gone downhill over the years and sometimes, the store smells and feels a bit "gross." I still visit about once or twice a year and still find "treasures", but get overwhelmed easily by all the stuff (especially clothes) to look through.

They need to put the womens bras on a lower level rack so I can reach them! The summer top sleeveless size xl xxl should be in the xxl section in stead if being mixed in with the sm med lg size it takes me a long time to find my size xl

Its a great place, but the prices can be all over the place. Whoever sets the prices for the electronics and stuff has no idea what theyre doing -they often have broken stuff priced higher than you could buy them online.

Just a giant selection of pretty good thrift apparel. Every time I go, I get some good stuff, and Ive been there a good number of times. This is a place to go thrifting, out of the way, and to make a thing out of it.
