I buy the Peerless coffee beans at Food Max. I live in San Jose Ca but the Fremont location has a full selection of flavored coffees. I like good coffee, like the brand and many different kinds to choose from at this location. The San Jose store used to have good selection but cut back on most of the ones I buy. Only about a 20 minute drive so not real far by freeway. My favorite one to blend with others is American Breakfast. , mixed with other flavors a good mix. Like Food Max in general for a wide choice in all there items.

I had been shopping here for almost 15 years. I have heard people say that it is a junk store with poor quality and they hate to go here. I can vouch that the store does not have pretty decor, shelves as Safeway, Lucky etc. But It is clean, well managed and the vegetables and groceries are fresh and maintained well. The boxed items are the same as that of other stores. It is way cheaper unless you want to pay for the decor of the shop.

Very poor customer service. I was on the line and I was waiting for the associate to ring me; however the associate, who was named Ashley, was chit chatting over the counter with his manager, not helping customers, and wasting time. She was very rude and unprofessional. when I asked her to use the time efficiently. She told me that she is not gonna ring me and removed my grocery from counter. She was very unprofessional and rude.

I always go to this Food Maxx for food, everything is great with great prices, except their Rotisserie chicken. The chicken seems to be cooked then frozen then just reheated of it doesnt sell, this makes the chicken taste really old and dry. Also, they put some kind of absorbent to absorb the oil which makes the chicken drier. Other than that, everything seems to be fresh and new.

I love shopping at FoodMaxx, theyve ALWAYS had the best deals around. However when it comes to meat products, you can find lower prices at other places. The rest of your grocery needs are for the right price unlike other grocery stores. Only thing is you have to bag your own groceries which is fine with me cause you cant beat the prices and various selections they have.

I will never ever go shopping at the foodmaxx at 39441 Fremont Blvd. Bad service and very rude manager. He needs to learn more about how to say & handed with the customs. His management is very poorly skills . I have never had seen or heard from the store manager being rude. Other than that foodmaxx is the best bargain market for shopp.

Food Maxx pretty much has everything you need. Their cakes are great, the produce is very cheap, and they have a great variety of meats. The problems I have with Food Maxx are: you can never find anyone to help you and there are never enough checkers. If they improved their customer service Id give then 5 stars.

Store brand items are very reasonable. Milk 2 pack was much cheaper than Costco. I would rank this store between Safeway and Smart and Final but for bulk items Smart and Final may be cheaper. The 3 stars because the checkout is so strange. I only use self checkout.

Everything is going good. But all the time self checkout machine is not working. I will go like 4 days in a week. All the time I will take my products in 5minutes and I will stand in line for 20minutes.

The layout forces you to walk every aisle. A big pain when you are going for one or two items. Not the cleanest store. Prices are low but check the expiration date on everything.
